If you haven't been paying attention, I can just as easily show you how it is necessary for all in Wisconsin to tighten their belts. But Then, the Union Leadership doesn't want that, do they?
@Unklebillybob In fact, I was not paying attention. Having been a Chicago native, I never paid attention to Wisconsin politics much. @rw5791 After all is said and done, my research indicates that California will have a deficit of about $12 billion through June 2013. To all you cry baby teachers, more then half of you suck ass at teaching. No wonder US Education is One of the lowest in the world. Teachers should get paid strictly due to performance at their job. You do a bad job, your fired. End of story. Quit being little bitches and let walker take Wisconsin out of this liberal shitter
@brandofando good call walker will take us out of the liberal shitter with the promise of creating 250000 jobs with his "budget repair bill" wisconsin is "open for business" so tell me how all this is working out so great being walker has lost this state over 16000 private sector jobs since november? maybe we need unions to take us out of this tea party shitter
@brandofando CRY BABY TEACHERS? I am not a teacher, but I sure dont like the way Walker has gone about fixing things....he just wants himself and all his republican friends get the cash money..to hell with people that need ...oh, I dont know..help from planned parenthood..oh but wait, he slashed that too..
@joe035 job creation? wow this man has you and so many republicans brainwashed...in december alone 3900 jobs LOST IN WISCONSIN...35,000 since last summer. He is slashing everywhere and people dont know what the hell to do next, and now many of us have to go on foodstamps - and then OBAMA GETS THE BLAME for that. Being called the "food stamp president" that is crap - Its the local government that is hurting us so badly.

@wendisue100 Foolish me I just went by what the Bureau of Labor Statistics "bls.gov" said. Wisconsins unemployment has dropped to 7.1% According to Wisconsin Workforce Development WI adjusted 7.3% compared to US 8.6%! Unadjusted 6.6% compared to 8.2% source:dwd wisconsin. gov/uistats
WI now exists within a budget creating stability not just for those lucky enough to work for the state but taxpayers who fund it!
Obama has proven himself inept, I will not vote for him again!
I didn't know that every citizen in Wisconsin is a government employee (that's the only way everyone citizen could have lost collective bargaining). Wisconsin has been freed from slavery to government employees. I am a native Californian and have lived with the spreading of that cancer and my states spendthrift ways for 61 years. Do you really want to end up a joke like this state has become? You have no idea how many people want to leave this place.
I bet if they made a rule that if you signed to recall walker you and ONLY everyone who signs it has to have their taxes raised to pay off the Budget Deficit. I bet most people would not sign it. But they still want to complain. Who agrees with me?

Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China for jobs. I will work with Cantor, Paul Ryan, Scott Walker and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. bless the GOP!

And these fucking petitions are all filled with phony signatures from 10 year old black girls, who parents brainwash their kids.
@JeffCirillo OMG...are you kidding me? Walker is a crook and had his staff raise funds ON TAXPAYERS MONEY...THE FBI IS INVESTIGATING...he didn't save shit. He may be going to Jail...where he belongs. he is SO OUT OF THIS STATE it isn't even funny...its going to get worse and worse for him every single day., and I cannot wait until the day we all will be free of the KOCH sucking in WISCONSIN.

@wendisue100 When Mr. Walker took office, a survey of major business owners by the state's Chamber of Commerce found that only 10% thought Wisconsin was heading "in the right direction." Now 94% say it is. Chief Executive magazine found that Wisconsin's business climate in 2011 showed the greatest one-year improvement of any state in the history of the magazine's ratings. After bleeding 150,000 jobs in the previous three years, Wisconsin added 10,000 jobs in 2011.
Im so proud of those who fight back in wisconsin,Ohio and Michigan .. all of those governors are one term wonders to be.. already the voters in these states have recalled some state legislators and the repeal vote of the Sb-5 in ohio is a proven thing that the 99% are going to take this country back... Shame on those who are trying to destroy america just to protect the big corporate thugs

@MrZachbig Obama approved the bailouts gave billions to corporate donors including former Goldman Sachs People he is our Democrat President. Worse the very people advocating govt exist within a budget & pay down the deficit so our KIDS wont have to have been villianized as racists.
Isn't it fair to say both parties are full of assholes & we should vote them all out & term limits in as career politicians worrying about reelections is bad for all?
@ottosez We can't have good teachers if we don't pay them. Walker needs to wake up. Maybe he should take a pay cut, and no benefits, and no bargaing before he make cuts
@MrZachbig MPS teachers get paid quite well yet nearly half the grads cant read. In the private sector these teachers would all be fired, Public employee unions are a joke!
@mayhemlee LOL, Russ worked with McCain in the senate on a lot of Bi-Partisan legislation including the Campaign Reform Act. What has Ron Johnson done? Your ignorance is hilarious.
Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. I will work with Scott Walker, Paul Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!
@unclelight It was GOP policies that reduced the marginal tax rates of the largest earners to a point where the middle class actually pays more in taxes then someone earning more then $5,000,000 per year. Your idea to raise payroll taxes would never be taken up by the GOP thanks to the Norquist death pact, medicare, social security, and unemployment are programs that require contribution from the benefactors, so ending them would be robbery, and $2.00/hour minimum wage is just absurd in the US.
@ex4787 We have no choice but to raise payrol taxes on the middle class. We can't tax job creators without losing jobs. We have no choice and it will happen, pledge or no pledge.
@unclelight That is demonstrably untrue. Tax incentives and cuts have been historically used by the companies that benefit to pay dividends (at a ridiculously low capitol gains tax rate) and buy back stock in order to grow the companies bottom line (which is understandable, that's just good business), while tax increases usually correspond to hiring frenzies in order for companies to garner talent to give them a competitive edge.
I have been a business owner for more then 20 years with employees that rely on me and I on them. I can truly say, you do not have a clue about the way things work with payroll taxes and how important such programs as Social Security and Medicare are and the good they provide to all Americans, this includes American businesses. I would suggest you study a little history on how people did before these programs existed. You might be shocked and maybe understand a little clearer.
@unclelight I'm sure it was a GOP president that got us into a war we couldn't fund causing us to go trillions of dollars into debt if I'm not mistake. Not only that the moment BUSH took off it was going down hill. And also you are just one very crazy person....
apparently in California, you can recall a governor if you'd rather have a governator! hehe. you go, Wisconsin!!! if ever there was a reason to recall... this is it!
. . . the 2-3 months before the election are the critical ones. . . yes, we should always be organizing and preparing WAY BEFORE, but the 2-3 months before the election are the critical ones. . .
I wish they would have had a state wide referndum and asked the people of Wisconsin if they wanted to RAISE TAXES on the working class or fix the budget some other way. I bet all the recaller walker people would have voted not to raise taxes! Who agrees me?
Yeah, Russ Feingold clearly has Scott Walker's number. I like other potential candidates running (Mahlon Mitchell is great, would love to see him hold elected office), but it sure does seem like a lot of Wisconsin Dems really want Russ Feingold. to run.
Either way, Scott Walker needs to be held accountable.
Run Russ Run! We need more than your signature! Be our Governor then our President! This state can take your leadership to the moon! We need a winner like you! In the end Wisconsin and you will not just lead the United States it will lead the world out of this cycle of greed fueled evil.
@ykedoodl remember when that "loser" demolished your golden boy mayor tommy B? Check out how the high speed train is doing in California haha, and collective bargaining is a benefit!
@centerflank I don't live in Milwaukee and Walker is good at these Recalls isn't he? You cannot find any of the California corruption that Arnold did around the Super train proposed here in Wisconsin. It was an idiot move to give those jobs and money away. The other Scott is getting it handed to him too. Corruption in Wisconsin doesn't fly. Collective bargaining is a democratic process that the greedy would be slave owners don't want their slaves to have. The Fitz Scott is done too!
Amen, and I say that as one of these nefarious out-of-staters who have supported Russ for years and deplore his defeat. What a loss! Run for governor, Sen. Feingold!
Awesome, Go Russ!!!

@rw5791 After all is said and done, my research indicates that California will have a deficit of about $12 billion through June 2013. The main reasons for this huge SHORT-FALL is Fiscal Irresponsibility. But what the hell would one expect, with the likes of jerry brown, nanci pileosiii, barbara boxer shorts and far too many more pissing away the state's wealth.

After bleeding 150,000 jobs in the previous three years, Wisconsin added 10,000 jobs in 2011.

unclelight 3 months ago
@unclelight It was GOP policies that reduced the marginal tax rates of the largest earners to a point where the middle class actually pays more in taxes then someone earning more then $5,000,000 per year. Your idea to raise payroll taxes would never be taken up by the GOP thanks to the Norquist death pact, medicare, social security, and unemployment are programs that require contribution from the benefactors, so ending them would be robbery, and $2.00/hour minimum wage is just absurd in the US.
ex4787 3 months ago
@ex4787 We have no choice but to raise payrol taxes on the middle class. We can't tax job creators without losing jobs. We have no choice and it will happen, pledge or no pledge.
unclelight 3 months ago
@unclelight That is demonstrably untrue. Tax incentives and cuts have been historically used by the companies that benefit to pay dividends (at a ridiculously low capitol gains tax rate) and buy back stock in order to grow the companies bottom line (which is understandable, that's just good business), while tax increases usually correspond to hiring frenzies in order for companies to garner talent to give them a competitive edge.
ex4787 3 months ago
@unclelight
