How can you tell if you have temporary image retention or permanent burn in? I just bought a display model panasonic VT30 from best buy ( $1300 ) and noticed the blu ray menu they had playing constantly on the entire bottom of the screen...weird thing is i didn't see this at the store when i bought it..I'm worried that it is not repairable :( I have 30 days to return it..but don't want to
what about gameing can i get a burn in if i am gameing on a plasma tv .also what if i am watching a movie and i have thos black bars on my tv while watching a blu ray can those black bars burn into my screen that is why i been very scared on buying a plasma all in all .let me know i would love to have these question fixed.
@joseph10704 uhhh this was awhile ago, but for gaming if you know left 4 dead, on screen their are red health packs that would remain on screen even when console is off, that was about 5 years ago, now my 50 inch plasma doesnt do anything like that, for the most part your fine.
@bossman12334 buddy, i first bought a 20 inch, than I wanted a 40 inch than I bought a 50 inch, a 32 or 47 should be fine for the long run, its just my opinion.
do not buy a plasma, people don't like plasmas cause you can see yourself in the tv which is super annoying for people.. people only get plasmas cause they are super cheap, but annoying to see yourself in the tv. if you plan to keep your tv for a long time, never be cheap on a tv and just go LED, its the best tv you can buy and way better than plasmas. they are only making a video about this cause they hear customers complain about plasmas cause they suck.
I just bought a Pansonic Plasma TCP50U2. Its 50" 1080p and was wondering if i should even be worried about the word "BURN-IN". Do i ave to break it in for the first 100 hours. And finally the most important questio...CAN I PLAY MY XBOX 360 ON MY NEW TV? your help would be greatly appreciated.
just bought a saumsng 50 1080 on black friday. from playing my xbox to watching cnbc, the ghosting is very annoying. stay away from any film with black bars.
Who do today's plasmas compare to the newer LED's? I'm thinking of upgrading from my 120hz LCD to either an LED or Plasma on Black Friday. I do mostly gaming and movies so I thought maybe a plasma may work better with it's 600hz technology.
@johnnygiv hz has to do with motion so if youre watching sports 600hz will look crisp and 60hz may have blurring, as far as 720 and 1080unless you get 50"+ you wount need 1080p unless youre two feet fro the tv you wont notice

@AgileMJOLNIR LED is better. Plasmas are still burn-in no matter that they are telling.
