  • Computer... destruct sequence one, code One, one- A .......... (The Search For spock)

  • " a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues!'

  • All the bats.

  • excuse me

  • They better have the bat swarm again in The Dark Knight Rises. I fucking love that.

  • the batman voice kicks ass in this one. bring this voice back!

  • Batman's voice hear sounds so much better than TDK i hope it goes back to that type of tone in TDKR

  • @DUKG9509

TDK's isn't bad. It is exaggerated at times. In TDK, Batman is constantly in trouble and worn out. I think thats why his voice changed that way

  • @yamisupersaiyan Hmmmm yea kinda m8 apparently nolan put more voice editing in TDK for batman. So hopefully he picked up on the critism and altered it so its a mix between BB and TDK

  • Penguine at 1:52?

  • they should do it again in dark knight rises :)

  • lol batman said excuse me while bombing the jail cell doors hes so polite ^.^

  • @Sm00thJAzzer lol yea and its also a funny scene since those two inmates are in an insane asylum and they see a guy dressed as a bat walking past them saying excuse me lol

  • I fucking love the Batman: Year One references in this movie. From Jim Gordon to the sonic emitter to the ending scene. It was fucking beautiful to see those comic panels come to life on the big scene back in 2005. I almost fucking cried.

  • @kassi420 also, the joker reference at the end like in year one.

  • bale is the best batman

  • @MrLosgalactico yes he is

  • I love both, both are what I was expecting in a Batman movies since I had to suffer Batman & Robin, both shits in any Batman audiovisual media, except Batman: The Animated Series...and I thank Nolan for thak, I truly do.

  • AMAZING !!

  • Dark Knights shits on Borefest Begins.

Dark Knight IS the greatest superhero movie of all time period.

  • @themenaceanish alright, seriously, i saw u commenting on another video, and you need to shut up. they were both the two best batman movies ever and you dont need to go around trolling all day and all night. if you dont like BB, then go watch TDK instead of trashing the movie that is responsible for the fact that the dark knight was even made.

  • @butterball97 @themenaceanish dude he likes batman begins he does it for the sake of trolling. i shouldnt even say like he loves it to be more accurate.

  • @butterball97 Amen. themenaceanish, go away.

  • A gigantic army of bats.

  • Batman Begins is the best batman movie ever

  • @Malon4Ever becuase they followed the comics spot on and did it the right way. but i still love burtson batmans, something about those movies is jsut AWESOME!

  • @Malon4Ever Did you even watch The Dark Knight? You better take that back.

  • @redvillain6 Yes I did and I definitly prefer Batman Begins ^^

  • 8 years will pass since the end of TDK in TDKR.

  • This scene alone is better than anything The Dark Knight had to offer. I love the dark visual style and I even find Bale's interpretation of Batman more spot-on here than in the latter movie.

But even this film had it's own flaws, which means that I've yet to see a truly defining Batman movie. This scene simply proves that it can be done.

  • @CountAbel i agree with you.

  • Excuse me.....

  • oh excuse me. lol thats just awesome. :D

  • wonder how many bats he kicked on the way down

  • I actually like BB more than TDK. The whole origin story of Batman was fascinating. It was logical and I loved how fear was a constant theme throughout the entire film.

  • if i was one of the cops, i would've sworn batman was a vampire

  • batman and his stiff retarded neck

  • ANYONE KNOWS wat is the name of the soundtrack playing @ 1:27 ??

  • @DarkLuster007

skinny niggas runin shit - soulja boy

  • those two inmates was like, did you just see that? lol

  • Dark Knight was sooo much better than this piece of shit of a movie. Begins was boring as hell.

RIP Heath Ledger, you were truly awesome as The Joker.

  • @themenaceanish MAN, the dark knight is bether , but NEVER batman begins is Bad movie

    ITS A AMAZING MOVIE ALSO

  • @TheDeinonichos Dark Knight is WAAAAAY better, batman begins is shit and doesn't come close to the awesomness of Dark Knight.

  • @themenaceanish please man this comparison is like "spiderman 1 is a shit movie , spiderman 2 is better"

please man dark knight is badass , but begins is exelent movie

  • @TheDeinonichos What's with 'please man'? You're not menstruating are you?

  • @themenaceanish sorry I dont learn all english expressions very well

  • "Excuse me" - One of my favorite lines in the movie.

  • batmans voice kicks ass in this one!

  • Comment removed

  • say what you want but this movie was great. and for those comparing it to the dark knight all i can say is 1) this movie is how it should be- batman focussed and 2) this movie made more people, including myself, aware of how cool batman is, leading to the box office smash that was the dark knight. cracking film and i can only hope batman's voice sounds more like this in TDKR!

  • Hey, it's the dude, from sons of anarchy XD

  • queue badass car chase

  • best scene... EVER, it hast to be in the 3 film

  • I remember seeing this back in 2005...the pop in the crowd when the bats showed up at 0:50 was massive.

  • This movie sucks compared to The Dark Knight. BB was a piece of shit.

  • @TheAmerican732

You don't seem to be very competent if you say that Batman Begins "was a piece of shit". It's one of the best movies which were made between 2000 and know, and also I would say that "The Dark Knight" wasn't better in all aspects. For example Bruce Wayne/Batman is much more seen and "described" in Batman Begins. (Sorry for my english)

  • @Lincoln2000 Heath Ledger alone was better than the whole of Batman Begins XD There weren't any great performances in Batman Begins that could be even compared to Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker. Batman Begins is nowhere near one of the best movies of the 2000s. Batman Begins was at best an average superhero movie. The Dark Knight was an improvement on every level.

  • @TheAmerican732

Your opinion, not mine. "Batman Begins was at best an average superhero movie. " I can tell you what an average superhero movie is: Something like spider man II. Batman Begins was definitly more than that. As the movie that it should be it was nearly perfect. Of course there was no Joker, but for Batman Begins that's obviously(!) necessary. The Dark Knight was of course the more philosophic movie, but it wouldn't be possible to make such a movie as the first part of a trilogy.

  • @Lincoln2000 Batman Begins was a typical cliched one man on a crusade type of movie. The same way X-Men Origins Wolverine was. Both these movies were garbage and effectively flopped at the box office.

The Joker was by far and away the best villain and better than scarecrow and the liam neeson character put together. The look of Batman Begins sucked with its third world look. The Dark Knight looked more modern and appealing.

  • @TheAmerican732

Your definition of garbage is obviously very different from mine. As I said before my opinion is that it was necessary for the first part of the trilogy that the story concentrates more on Batman. A movie like Dark Knight was only possible because of Batman Begins! It seems to me that the main reason why you like Dark Knight so much more is that you are some kind of "Joker maniac". I am not that kind of Joker Fan. Maybe that is the reason why I think that both movies are great.

  • @Lincoln2000 The Dark Knight made over $1 billion and was universally praised by critics. The same can't be said for Batman Begins XD You as any movie goer what their favorite superhero movie is and they'll most likely The Dark Knight. They'll also most likely list Superman,Spider-Man 2, X2 and Iron Man as the greatest superhero movies. Hardly anyone mentions Batman Begins XD It's totally forgotten.

  • @TheAmerican732

You're right if you say that The Dark Knight had great sucess, of course. And also the critics were very good. But if you look at the critics for Batman Begins you will see that it also was very good criticized (Not as good as The Dark Knight.. I know, but definitly not as garbage!). And what you said with this list of superhero movies: Maybe a lot of people would even say that they like Transformers more than Batman Begins. But in fact that doesn't make it the better movie.

  • @Lincoln2000 The first Transformers was an awesome movie. The next two suck to be honest. But Transformers is way better than Batman Begins. That had awesome action in it. Batman Begins had very little action and even when there was action in it you could barely see it what with the trashy camerawork XD Batman Begins was boooring ass hell. The first hour was extremely tedious. When Bruce Wayne first becomes Batman that's when I was slightly interested in the movie.

  • @TheAmerican732

For you it's maybe better, and that's fine by me. . but.. I mean.. I liked Transformers, but not as much as Batman Begins. Of course in the beginning (first hour) of BB there wasn't too much action in it, but that's no problem for me because I liked they way that it was shown how Bruce Wayne became Batman. And this is very important for the story - also of the dark knight - because you see why the Batman of this new movies isn't a Batman like in the older movies..

  • @TheAmerican732 Batman begins was not intended to be this action movie it was intended to be serious movie about how Batman begins. I love what Christopher N. has done to the movies because he added more darkness and seriousness to it. It not intended for simple minded people who go in it to watch big explosions it's for mature adult who know a great movie with great cast, story, and some good action scenes. My opinion Batman Begins and the Dark Knight are the best superhero movies ever made.

  • @brownking96 I agree that The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero movie ever made. Not Batman Begins though XD Not by a long way. I can name at least 7 or 8 other superhero movies that are better than Batman Begins if I wanted to.

And action does rule. The Dark Knight was sooo much better than Batman Begins because it had far better action. Plus the greatest ever acting performance by the legendary Heath Ledger. Batman Begins is nothing compared to Dark Knight.

  • @TheAmerican732

Go name 7 to 8 movies better. The Dark Knight is the best followed CLOSELY by Begins. Shut up

  • @yamisupersaiyan 8 movies better than shitty Batman Begins:

    The Dark Knight

    2001: A Space Odyssey

    Inception

    Memento

    Goodfellas

    Pulp Fiction

    The Empire Strikes Back

    The Godfather

And I can name 100s of other movies that are way better than Batman Begins XD

  • @TheAmerican732 You underestimate what Batman Begins really is. It's not a coincidence that Revenge of The Sith and BB came out in the same year. Both directors understand that 2005 is when the opulent 90s really ended. Both movies feature a fatherless boy turning to hate as the answer to all problems, not unlike the way Americans did the same thing, post-9/11. BB is TDK and Dark Knight Rises all in one. It's a GIGANTIC movie that Nolan knows most people won't get. That's the slyness of it.

  • @Tripp393 How is Batman Begins The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises all in one? LOL! The Dark Knight Rises is still being filmed XD Batman Begins was at best average. Once The Dark Knight Rises comes out I'm pretty sure it'll be ranked as the greatest superhero movie of all time along with The Dark Knight. Begins will be forgotten lol.

Christopher Nolan's worst movie by far is Batman Begins. I'm surprised it was even directed by him XD

  • @TheAmerican732 You're obviously not serious about film. BB's philosophy is designed to span over a 1000 years back and front from 2005. There's a reason TDKR's poster resembles the poster from BB and the trailer features the cave from BB. It all goes back to BB, the biggest film of them all.

  • @Tripp393 Batman Begins biggest film of them all? LOL! Good one dude XD

  • @TheAmerican732 Hey I'm not the one who made the TDKR poster resemble the BB poster, AND have the trailer feature scenes from BB, the Ras Al Ghul dialogue from BB, and the return of the Well from BB. Chistopher Nolan did that. You obviously don't like Nolan's vision.

  • @Tripp393 The poster doesn't resembled the BB poster but even if it did, so what? Just look at these figures:

Batman Begins IMDB rating is 8.2. The Dark Knight is 8.9 and ranked in the 10 greatest movies of all time.

Batman Begins made just $300 million compared to The Dark Knight's $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

    Nuff said.

  • @TheAmerican732 I'm glad you brought in box office success and the hilarious IMDB rating. Your opinion is now completely invalid. In TheAmerican732's world Avatar and Titanic are the greatest films ever made.

  • @Tripp393 Avatar and Titanic aren't in the top 10 greatest movies ever made according to IMDB. I pretty much agree with with the top 10 list. The rest is debatable. Like Batman Begins, why that's in the 250 greatest movies ever made is laughable XD

Batman Begins is childish shit XD The Dark Knight is pure awesome.

  • @TheAmerican732 Batman Begins was one of the greatest movies of all time. And how can you call it childish? It was far the darkest, intelligent and realistic of the Batman movies. What is childish are Jole Schumachers film's.

  • @TheAmerican732 dude, shut up, this movie is good. and the box office was 370 and part of the reason dark knight was so hyped was because of word got around after awhile how good bb was. stop being a douche.

  • @TheAmerican732 you're an idiot. go to school.

  • @TheAmerican732

Wow you're a fucking moron. Those films are the best of all time. Hell 75% of those ARE BETTER THAN THE DARK KNIGHT. Wow you are the biggest retard I have ever replied to.

  • @yamisupersaiyan You asked me to name 7 or 8 movies better than Batman Begins and I did so what's your problem?

  • Batman has perfected the art of jumping off of shit.

  • It's sped up.

  • this NEEDS to be a new tool in arkham city

  • if i ever get a bat as a pet it's name will be backup.

  • @studio13drew o ya buddy even i have the same idea

  • Excuse me

  • Frank Miller, Batman Year One Inspiration!

  • his voice should have been like this in TDK

  • I get goosebumps when I see this scene and with this music. truely a great film entrance a big wow.

  • Soundtrack! soundtrack! name! >.<

  • @ViolentAlcoholic Yea, his momma is awesome in sucking dick. But, thanks for the ignorance though.

  • @themenaceanish!!!! You now what else sucks!?!?! Your momma!!!!! She sucks sooooooo goooooodddd!!!! I had to slappy her facey with my dicky for sucking so good!!!! Your mom is soooooo awesome!!!!

  • This movie sucks compared to The Dark Knight which is sooo much better. Heath Ledger was awesome in that.

  • Hope he gets "backup" in Dark Knight Rises:)

  • @Suport7000 i agree :)

  • That gadget should be in Arkham City.

  • @saintsknight986

....it is. It's one of the combo upgrades you can buy.

  • thumbs up if you wish you can summon bats with the touch of a button!

  • @countpierce88 I would want to summon bats with a touch ofa button xD but im not going to thumbs you up

  • Classic movie

  • "...Excuse me."

  • Must be a lot of Bats in that one block.

  • @TheSpiderByte Actually, I think there are more bats living in the cities than most people realise. I used to think the "things" I saw flying around the neighborhood as the sun's about to set are birds...but actually they're bats. Quite a lot of them start "showing" themselves before nightfall, so who know how many are there when it's actually night?

  • The Dark Knight Rises will bring us back to Batman Begins

  • @BigtimeDirector2005 DAMN STRAIGHT!

  • I love that he says "excuse me" to the two inmates. lol.

  • why would batman say excuse me to inmates?

  • @doctorHOUSE It's always a good idea to be polite to mental health patients, no matter the circumstances.

  • @ShadowPuppetStudios the best comment here

  • @doctorHOUSE he was being polite, you dont just blow the lock off someones cell door and just bust in while their relaxing without excusing yourself, that would be incredibly rude.......

  • @doctorHOUSE i think he was more focused on helping rachel, but that part is hilarious.

  • Honestly, I love this movie, but this scene is just a tad... excessive. Nothing else in the films is this implausible. There's just no way that a thing that small can make a sound travel far enough to lure in thousands and thousands of bats—from indoors. It makes you think that there have to be like 5 million bats patrolling each block of gotham every night. And there was enough "bat" imagery already at this point to where it sort of feels like this scene is beating you over the head with it.

  • @tobacconist Personally I found the prospect of a directional microwave doomsday device a bit more implausible. There's all kind of vague excuses you could use for a high pitch sonic transmitter, for instance, the fact that sound travels easier through solids than through air. However, the idea of a precise microwave machine that can fire concentrations of microwaves so extreme as to instantly vaporise water between solids is a bit much.

  • @MrJmaxted Yeah. I mean that doesn't make sense, but there was at least a scene beforehand where one of the Wayne execs explains what it is and what it does. This thing just comes out of nowhere and is never mentioned again.

  • Back dat Azz up, is more like it!

  • He was scary in The Dark Knight but people realized that the Joker was even scarier because he was completely unpredictable.

  • LOL, the bats flew into the windows, does christopher nolan even know how they dont have eyes but use hyper-sound?

  • @marceljamesburgunder *ultrasound

  • @MrJmaxted Yes, I meant ultrasound

  • @marceljamesburgunder well that rule doesn't apply on all bats you know....

  • BB-TDK-TDKR

This director is making a complete idiot out of the other superhero-movies.

  • Exactly!!! In TDK they portrayed him as some sort of...super soldier. He's supposed to be dark..and scary. In the shadows.

  • i think we all are of the same opinion. christian bale is the best batman/superhero this world has ever seen. his voice, his look, his acting, ... he is perfect for the character of bruce wayne/batman. and nolan simply said is a god in every movie shot he dircets or produces. he is the HIGH-QUALITY-SIGN hollywood badly needed for years. i cant remember one of his films that isn`t at least totally brilliant in everything. i mean he saved a franchise which was near to collapse.

  • You gotta love the SWAT dudes, trained to fight armed criminals and tough as nails, but they'll lose it if any bats are around.

  • lol...excuse me

  • Batman was awesome in The Dark Knight but he's even cooler in this one. I hope in part 3, hes more like he is in this:)

  • wow. batman actually sounds like batman in this movie.

  • In my opinion I think its the best distraction ever.

  • they are bringing this storyline back in the dark knight rises but just bane being the leader of the league of shadows and talia al ghul too

  • @tubenachos do you mean the section starting from 1:30 and finishing at around 1:40?

  • Ah yes...when Batman's voice was normal.

  • @MrSonnyworld LMAO

  • "Excuse me..." lol.

  • I used to wonder how the bats could hear the signal from the heel transmitter, and all come to the location. However, if you pause the video at ~1:30 or so, you see that the bats are actually being led by an electronic bat (probably homing in on the signal from the boot transmitter). Makes much more sense now...

  • @srk4044

Wasn't it just a high-frequency transmitter? It gives off a sound too high for humans to hear, but attracts the bats towards it. Then Batman drops it down the stairs, so all the bats follow it.

  • @JamieHowitt

Wow. I have seen this movie (and this scene), God only knows how many times, and I totally missed that! I knew he had the transmitter on the heel of his shoe, but I couldn't figure out how that could attract bats to his location (would have to be a very strong transmitter, no?). So when I saw the frame with the bats surging after the black and red object, I thought it was an electronic bat going UP towards Batman, not down the stairs.

    Good call!

  • @srk4044

,,,But you *see* Batman dropping it! :P

  • Wouldn't be awesome in the official "The Dark Knight Rises" trailer that Batman is ready to fight his enemies, then all of a sudden his "backup" (bats) reappear. Christopher Nolan said that he wanted to story to come full circle. That would definitely bring a epic conclusion to One of the Best Trilogies Ever Made.

  • Why were there no bats in The Dark Knight?

  • @Nerevar1990 Not just the missing bats that annoyed me with TDK. Also the whole way Batman's mysteriousness was pushed aside just to cater for the Heat inspired storyline. Batman should be taking on multiple enemies from the shadows, making them shit their pants, much like Begins. But in TDK they had him running a round and being beaten whilst in the middle of a damned party. I do like TDK myself but I just feel it wasn't the sequel I thought it would be.

  • @TheSteelStallion Yeah, they went too much for the 'realistic' route. Batman begins was plenty realistic, but still had a comic feel like with the look of Gotham and the way Batman fought and also no bats was just crazy... And the first batsuit was best! It had part of his history in it..the gauntlets, showed him paint it, start with only part of it with no helmet, make his gadgets, in TDK he just immediately gets a new one and no time is spent tying it to the character of Bruce.

  • @Nerevar1990 Begins felt like a small yet perfectly tuned movie, where as TDk felt like something with a high budget. They started with more of a realistic beginning but I think if the next film is for certain the last, then they're going to definitely give the movie an aim of finally showing that Batman has become the legendary Dark Knight, and no longer having criminals basically laugh in his face. I'd be willing to bet he gets a more comic book looking batmobile too, whilst staying realistic.

  • @TheSteelStallion I think the large budget was a bad thing for TDK, made them go more for big stunts. Don't get me wrong I think it was REALLY good, but just pointing out it's flaws. I hope the next one isn't the last! Bale pointed out he would do more but it is up to Nolan. But if it is you made a good point, he's going to have to really fufill the role. Thank god Selina Kyle is going to be in it, after Rachel dying last film now is the best time.

  • @TheSteelStallion I think Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was building toward that. In Begins, he uses the shadows as his ally and makes criminals scared of him. In The Dark Knight, after a while the criminals caught on that Batman does not actually kill them, making them less scared of him. Now in Batman 3, he will have to use a lot more stealth, even more than Begins because now he is considered a public enemy and with his reputation gone and now looked upon as a murderer....

  • @TheSteelStallion ...the criminals would be more scared of him than they ever were. Looking forward to it.

  • @Nerevar1990

But there were copycats. Besides: what can bats do against Joker?

  • Wish i had the cape at work cuz the elevator is TOO DAMN slow..

  • He should ride his batpot and hold this transmitter at the same time so the bats can follow him on the streets like a big black tale or sth.

  • I love this scene because it makes the Dark Knight look like a supernatural King of the Bats. Sure, we know it's because of a high-tech device, but it adds to the mystique and legend of Batman among the superstiitious, even cops.

  • Words cannot express how glad I am that I decided one weekend, when me and mum were going to the movies, that we should watch the new Batman movie...

  • Micheal Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney would feel so jealous watching this.

  • @Mutantgamer Oh dont even mention Val Kilmer, he is by far the Worst Person to ever put on the Bat suit, after Christian Bale, Michael Keaton was the best

  • @King00000000000000 NOPE. the worst title goes to Clooney!

  • @Mutantgamer Keaton actually likes these films.

  • @Mutantgamer michael keaton had that kinda back up..not as much as this but alil bit..remember BatMan Returns?

  • @DaMoonWalker12 i watched it a long time ago. what backup did he have?

  • @Mutantgamer well i wouldnt say it was back up like in Batman Begins but around the end of the movie a small swarm of bats attack penguin lol

  • @Mutantgamer maybe not keaton cuz he was almost as good as this if not equal

  • @Mutantgamer Michael Keaton was the best of the other batman series, you have to give him credit , everyone else just sucked.

  • @Mutantgamer jajaja!

  • @Mutantgamer

Michael Keaton? Hell no. But the rest of them? Yeah be jealous.

  • Gordon: what is that..?

    Batman: Back up.. lol.

  • Skilze ME LOL
