With all these government programs handing out billions in aide to the poor, taxes need to be higher for everyone. Look at Canada as an example. Sure, they have healthcare and programs for everyone that needs it. But everyone pays to make that so, not just the rich. The only other choice is to get rid of the excessive amount of government programs. It's all a catch-22.

Compare the Jobs created and the deficit under each. Taxes for corporations need to be raised. Not only do they need to be raised, this has to happend asap. Also unnecesary imports should be put on a stall till the economy grows healthy again. More corporate taxes = more money to invest in the poor. Less poor people = More demand. More demand = more Jobs. More jobs = even less poor people. and this will Generate more income from regular people, and wouldnt hurt corporations since their demand will grow. A strong middle class is what the US needs.
