  • Great Pop-Punk band Here's To The Heroes

Check them out on FB /htthband :)

  • pop punk bands were rockin breakdowns way before those metalcore bands xD

  • @Fenderprecision51 Im sorry to say but you are wrong.

  • Pop punk is Tennage Bottlerocket, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, MxPx, etc... not this.

  • @Viperplayer187

    This is certainly pop punk.

  • @circasurviver657 genres are often a matter of opinion, but when I think of pop punk I think of the Ramones and "Ramonescore" bands

  • DONT SAY ILLL QUIT!!!!!!!

  • Pop punk is a joke

  • umm...where is And Then There Was You?

  • youtube.com/watch?v=mgzQofeBe4Q SUPPORT THESE GUYS THEY'RE AMAZING

  • the milf breakdown isnt a breakdown its a 2 step haha

  • @APleagueFortheAges not really....

  • 2:23 =)

  • Am I the only one who thinks the first one sounds exactly the same as beatdown in the key of happy's breakdown?

  • VEARA....

  • haha most of these breakdowns sound the same.

  • ILL DISCONNECT *chugg chugg chugg* THE CAPTAINS NECK *chugg chugg chugg* AND HE CAN WISH *chugg chugg chugg* AND MAKE HIM WISH *chugg chugg chugg* THAT HE WAS DEAD

  • @ipwnism Fucked 'em lyrics up, boy. :D

  • The Wonder Years is definately one of my favorite bands of all time, closely followed by FYS. I like a few Me Vs Hero songs too. I haven't heard of any of these other bands (apart from Chunk No Captain Chunk), but there not great IMO.

  • End Of Discussion - look them up on facebook, heaviest pop punk band in the local NJ scene

  • @ClickOnPez your band is pretty sick bro. i usually hate these self promoting comments but you guys are good.

  • SYG is best on this list imo. But Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! is a really good band and FYS is okay haha.

  • Look at 2:00. The picture. The guy in the middle.. you can see his nipples! :D

  • Oh yeah and Monuments Demo track 1 3:39

  • Monuments Demo Track 2 3:04

  • Comment removed

  • wow im not a h8er or a troll, but i never knew this was considered pop punk, considering bands like blink 182 and yellowcard and sum 41 are known as pop punk, this sounds more like the crappy metalcore and deathcore made by scene kids, when they took over the genre (when it was a fucking good genre of music to listen to

  • this is lame teenager music. play some fucking black metal, not this lame shit. seriously, how can you guys take this seriously. if you like this crap you have no idea what's good music. don't argue with me, i know what i'm talking about.

  • @wintermadness1349 well well wintermadness arent you the man? black metal huh, good thing this is a best black metal breakdowns video. go worship gwar.

  • chunk! <3

  • i just want to thoroughly thank you for introducing me to my favorite genre of music, some of my favorite bands, and the music genre that i play now. i appreciate it

  • @isk8dc its four year strong there is no s on yours...and you forgot adtr, heaviest poppunk band out there so far

  • um.....why the fuck is ADTR not in this? half their songs have better breakdowns than all of these

  • @MisterOriginal182 lol. a day to remember. get outta here.

  • @RicharddHagenn c'mon lets be serious you aint know music if you don't think adtr is good

  • @MisterOriginal182 a day to remember is great. This is a pop punk video though. lol. Pop punk is blink 182. Put 'Show em the rops' by a day to remember next to 'all the small things' by blink 182. Then tell me that a day to remember is pop punk.

  • @RicharddHagenn ** Ropes

  • @RicharddHagenn characterizing a band from one song is not an accurate method to determine the type of music they play. Adtr is as pop punk as any of these bands, and if you don't include adtr in this list then these bands shouldn't be inlcuded either, and it should consist of BFS, mxpx, blink, and lagwagon

  • what's the song at the veryyyy end?

after the four year strong song,

its like in the credits ish thing for a couple of seconds.

  • Just discovered the wonder years like last week HOLY SHIT SOO GOOD! sweet list too. all sick break downs.

  • yet to see a "unique" breakdown. although you pay littl to no attention when ur throwin down. i would liek to see variety

  • sweetness man. i always put these videos on when i get ready to go somwhere lol

  • I don't mean any disrespect to this genre, but really only listen to this because it's very positive sounding, but mainly because of the breakdowns and chanting. I can't listen to it for too long. Does anyone know if there's like any kind of music that sounds like deathcore/deathmetal/hardcore, but in major keys, and with clean vocals?

  • @rikmomentary I don't think there are any deathmetal/deathcore/hardcore bands in major keys and with only clean vocals. This doen't match! They drop the tunings to match the deep voice of the singers. just listen to regular stuff or regular punk bands. sry to disappoint you. have a nice day.

  • @daokine Ah but that's where you're wrong. If you dig deeper, you'll find stuff. So far the closest I've found is a band called Exit Ten. Sounds like light hardcore, but its not in a major key. At that rate, I know if i keep looking, I'll find something.

  • THIS KIND OF MUSIC MAKES ME TAKING ON THE WORLD IN OTHER WORDS GIVES ME BALLLS WITH OUT IT IM NOTHING!!!!

  • I'm in a band that fans of this kind of music will love (: We Go Sailing! Check out our myspace or search "take me home" on youtube. Promise you won't be disappointed!

  • *search we go sailing on youtube :p take me home is the song name. haha

  • My thing is I love hardcore instrumentals, but I hate screaming, so pop-punk/happy hardcore/ easycore/ whatever the fuck you want to call it is my choice of music.

  • @Naterog911 I'm with ya there! I like heavy breakdowns in the key of happy with nice pop punk voice, Tom Delonge vocals + Latin Truth would be fucking epic

  • this is just deathcore but with the usage of major scales and gay vocalists..

  • @mexrilla your a tool GTFO of youtube you dont know shit about deathcore if you call this deathcore. I listen to deathcore and pop punk its not the same, go look up your genres better.

  • @daffles44

    wow you fail.

  • S'all about me vs hero.

  • god this shit is sooooo good regardless of its actual genre

  • goonies never say die has the sickest break down ever

  • Call it Hardcore, call it easycore, call it I- Just- busted-a-nut-on-your-moms-tits-Core. I DONT GIVE A FUCK! All I know is that its fuckin awesome!!!

  • Woah woah woah! I can't believe there is a song called "Hey Elzar! Take it up another notch...". I have never heard of the band "me vs. hero", but for throwing in a Futurama reference, they are fucking awesome!

  • Pop Punk is rad and fun

    FUCK ALL THE HATERS

  • poppussies=ex sceners that have seen that adtr was too cool not to be imitated so they switch from playing deathcore to popcore...fuck em

  • LOL!

  • @ToSeeThingsClear definitely

  • @ToSeeThingsClear maybe if you're deaf, or rhythm challenged

  • i played a show with the wonder years once, it was fantastic

  • pop punk is good as shit. metal kid your a faggot. the wonder years, four year strong, and set your goals are so fucking good

  • shit yeah for FIght Fair!

  • wow... this whole easycore-scene is about 3 years old now... and it still seems to grow :D wooo xD

  • The wonder years, Four years strong, and Set your goals are still and always will be the all time greates pop punk bands

  • @isk8dc me vs hero.*

  • @isk8dc Dude, i saw TWY and FYS last night. it was the craziest show I've ever been to!

  • @isk8dc Yeah man. Forget bands like Hot Water Music, The Get Up Kids, Blink 182, Saves The Day, etc. Geeze.

  • @robertjordanthornton

saves the day is good there old shit is amazing gtfo

  • @zero6gg I believe you missed my point.

  • @isk8dc YOU FORGOT THE BEST POP PUNK BAND! TITLE FIGHT!!!!!

  • subscribe to our you tube channel

    ME VS HERO

  • LOL this isn't poppunk and all of these breakdowns sound the same. Same fucking guitar chord with some double basepedal bullshit. Don't put the word punk near this shit

  • new pop punk shit is gay. blink rulez

  • Ahmen to that :] blink fucking rulez

  • why would you watch this if you dont like it.

lots of these bands are popCORE

but set your goals the wonder years and four year strong is pop punk.

  • fuck off this is not pop punk....

  • ya it is idiot

  • I'm sorry like those bands are good, but listens to like the Acacia Strain, or August Burns Red, or some bands like that for heavy breakdowns. And those bands aren't even the heaviest.

  • Yeah I agree, but remember these bands in this video are pop punk. August Burns Red is metalcore, so it would be heavier of course.

  • @ddrum1305: I agree 100%, but that's not these band's styles, although I love Acacia Strain and August Burns Red.

Also some good others are Winds of Plague, Salt the Wound, All Shall Perish, and As Blood Runs Black.

  • Winds of plague is the best metalcore band out there with their new stuff, in my opinion.

  • theyre not metal core, theyre death core. dont argue back because im right. lol.

  • not everyone likes that kind of music man. respect the fact that different people have different musical tastes. goddamn

  • yeah if i wanted to listen to heavy ass breakdowns i wouldnt be here but im here to listen to these POP PUNK breakdowns so go listen to anthrax and be gone

  • its pop punk u fucking idiot. read

  • this is easycore motherfuckers

  • who gives a fuck faggott.

  • dude i wouldnt even use that word if i were you.

barely ANYONE knows what easycore is and its not worth the argument

  • check out cowabunga. myspace cowabungasucks

  • what about Blink 182

its the best pop punk band...

  • we know that, but they dont have breakdowns...

  • If you like Blink 182, Check out my band's channel and let me know what you think

  • where can i get save your breaths old

    music???

  • @McWhistlefarts if u dont like fight fair well then dont listen to them

  • this IS pop punk.. this IS greatness so that settles that shit :D

  • why does pop punk sound like hardcore? this isnt pop punk idiot

  • no, you are the idiot. The pop punk scene, or atleast the 'underground' pop punk scene, and I use that term lightly, because again, within their respective community AREN'T underground, is influenced by the hardcore scene. Hence the breakdowns. Again, with shows, breakdowns make it more fun, because you have something to dance to. Music genres change over time, and I find it futile to get hung up about it. Either you like the sound or you don't.

  • im not dissin it. i like it. the palm muting and drop d just dont idk. but yeah, i agree with what you said lol.

  • fa sho bro, I dig your positive reply! I expected you to be like blablabla YOUR A FUCKING STUPID hahaha. But defiantly man, I wasn't trying to attack you or anything lol.

  • lol yeah sall good. its just changed so much since the 90s

  • They all sound the same!! Its cool and all but not very creative or original!!

  • Pop punk is not dying as they say, just look what FYS has to offer us this year: being signed to a major label with the most prominent such as Universal Motown and releasing a new single that brings 2010 and the genre to new heights..

  • looks like the guys in fight fair like some rockett clothing. lol

  • One word: Generic .....

I hope pop punk suffers a horrible death...its on its way out...long live progressive rock!

  • yeah, soccer mom rock!

  • @TheItalianSlob progressive rock will always be dead compared to pop punk...douche

  • One, its completely unneccessary to call me a douche. Two, more and more bands are starting to go the progressive route. Everyone is in a pop punk band now adays...and quite frankly the industry can't grow unless more bands start taking risks. And as for progressive rock being dead...have you heard of rush or dream theater? They are signed to major labels and have talent that is unmatched. Pop bands are indie. lets get real here. Music works in decades. Pop punk is on its way out.

  • @TheItalianSlob 1.You spelled unecessary wrong. 2. No, everyones in a jack johnson/jason mraz band now. 3 Bands are taking risks 4. No shit ive heard of those bands, they are good musicians but i dont like their music 5. Lets get real here, Rush and Dream theater have lasted multiple decades so your contradicting yourself...

  • Don't sidetrack your argument. You spelt it wrong too; it's *Unnecessary*. That doesn't even matter. The point is that the pop punk bands listed in this video are not taking any risks. And while i said "Music works in decades.", you misunderstood my point. The point was to show that bands like rush and dream theater withstood the test of time; and that these "Fad" bands will be replaced by the next "Fad". It's sad but true. If you like pop punk music then thats fine; it doesn't affect me.

  • @TheItalianSlob Bands like them have stood the test of time because they are popular...blink-182 is still popular and they formed in 1993...Sum 41 1996. You really dont know what your talking about

  • Sum 41 is a great band. It just irritates me how bands have to copy eachother, making each song sound the same as the next. I'd like to see more bands be more original....where each song can hold its own. If you notice in this video, you can pick out generic pop punk squeals. Come on man! Eventually you get sick of songs that sound the same....eventually?????????? please tell me you do.

  • actually, it seems like everyone is in grindcore bands or death metal. u dont see many more of these bands around. atleast in my area.

  • Are you serious? on it way out? right. Maybe mainstream pop punk bands like blink and sum 41 are on their way out (not saying those are bad bands, I LOVE blink) In its respective community, its blowing up. If your comparing ANY pop punk bands popularity to dream theaters, quite frankly I hope no pop punk band gets that big. I like my shows lowkey, you can have you huge venues. Furthermore, your not a fan of this gengre, so I'm going to assume you've never even been to a pop punk show.

  • @DannyEChastain i love blink but i think a agree with you, but a lot of girls still like those mainstream pop punk bands

  • *sighs* i miss the days when pop punk referred to a punk band that got popular, not this shit

  • Don't trash it if you don't feel it, move on to something else. There is a quote, "music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music". So instead of sitting on youtube, flaming a scene that you currently are uneducated about, go out and find a music scene you do like. Or keep supporting the one(s) you do now. Keep it simple, no hate bro.

  • Shuuuuuut up herb.

  • Meaning, you haven't witnessed the energy put forth at these shows. I have, and will continue to do so, because as long as there are kids who actually care enough about it to show up at the shows, and do whatever they can to progress the pop punk scene, it will never die. The risks and decades thing is stupid, sorry. Pop punk is coming up on its second decade, referring to its beginning in the 90's. Listening to Green Day and then listening to Fight Fair, you'll see an obvious distinction.

  • you are bro the pop punk scene will never die i mean shit look at new found glory there gonna be going 10 yrs strong

  • theres such a thing as happy hardcore but it is dance music

  • haha, bangarang sux a lot, the rest is good

  • @joaomed ur rite thats what @gerosue thinks

  • This is pop-punk, FUCKING GREEN DAY? who are you kidding. And Fuck that kid who is talking shit on NFG that band rules they are the kings of pop-punk. And the new term of hardcore? What the fuck are you talking have you ever listened to Trapped Under Ice or Forfeit thats hardcore. There is no such thing as " happy hardcore" Its just pop punk with breakdowns.

  • Of course Set Your Goals and Four Year Strong are the last in this video ^.^

    UPS!

  • am i the only person who thinks this is an amazing video?!

  • I fucking love it dude lol

  • cool story bro

  • lol story?

  • welcome to the internet, exciting place isn't it?

  • Wow you're kind of an idiot.

  • I totally agree with you this is like screamo emo? hardcore? whatever you wanna call it this is not punk

at fucking all and its not pop either there are all different kind of genders but you need to learn how to classify music its not the same hardcore as grindcore

metal or punk , emo or electornic music and this is not punk pop I'm not saying I know everything about music or im not being a smart guy

but thats a fact in music

  • @uppercut613 This may sound dumb, but check out the intro for Black and White by NOFX random hardcoreness in there.

  • @uppercut613 I would say all of Greendays stuff is pop punk, except new album, that was shit... sex pistols, ramones, good charlotte, that's all shit too bro, but yeah, cool story none the less though, you enjoy your crack

  • @Grave187RIP13 has never been more wrong with his comment like genres of music dont change over the course of time

  • @itschrisjones

and you're fucking stupid. Ha, so I don't care what you think.

  • @Grave187RIP13 lol this isn't hardcore at all this is pop punk. Hardcore is so different Hardcore is like Have Heart, Hoods, Guns up!, Verse,Cruel Hand,H20, Earth crisis

  • @Grave187RIP13 You are an idiot.

  • @Grave187RIP13 shut up...

  • @DeanPeen Suck my dick fag.

  • @Grave187RIP13 well this is a very oxy moronic statement...i'd would at least say somethin' along the line of "TRY not to suck my dick....please"

  • @viesca91 LOL moron, don't even realize that oxymoron is one word, and you didn't even use it in the right context fag.

  • @Grave187RIP13 realized that..but it was in the moment so what can i say eh? n yes i'm pretty sure that statement alone is what makes me a fag...unless u use fag in the way other people say "dude"...or u dont know any other possible way to insult some1

  • chad gilbert was the frontman in shai hulud when he was 14 years old. nuff said.

  • NFG is so not hard core. there a bunch of christian and alternative rockers.

  • What does their religion have to do with their musical genre? New Found Glory was obviously influenced by hardcore bands, have you listened to any of their riffs or chad's backing vocals? They may be a pop punk band, but they're fucking edgy. You need to check your facts.

  • um new found glory started the whole breakdowns in pop puck and they bight be christian but there pretty hard core

  • hahah timeless

  • Comment removed

  • fuck yea at 3:40 for a member of syg rockin a klu shirt, thats wats up florida hardcore motherfuckas

  • happy hardcore is not what you think it is. Its like rave

  • Why does it matter what the fuck label you slap on it? It's good. Period. Shut the fuck up about what genre it fits under.

  • timeless! lives on the next street over. theyre pretty ill

  • HAHA! how are they emo becuase they like happy music? =P

  • ur a dumass, this shit isnt emo at all u fuck face

  • TEAM UP!

  • the best pop punk/hardcore band is The View From Down South.
