Here's what I don't understand. When Rocky fought Clubber Lang in Rocky III, he only was able to fight Clubber for three or four rounds and Apollo said after those three of four rounds Rocky would be overpowered. But when Rocky fights Ivan Drago in Rocky IV he manages to take a hell of a beating and go for ten rounds. Ivan Drago should be able to hit harder than Clubber, so how does this make sense?

Remember, Drago's only win was against a 40 year old ex-champ that hadn't been in the ring in 5 years. He never had a professional win. He fought a Rocky Balboa that possibly hadn't defended his title SINCE Clubber, which also could mean that Rocky had some major ring rust too. Plus, Rocky trained under some messed up conditions. Clubber went through the ranks and beat everyone, and even KO'd Rocky. I think he would maul Drago.

Clubber beat a younger version of Rocky, and worked his way through the heavyweight division. He was much more of a machine than Drago. He legitimately won the belt.
