The singer's name is Imogen Jane Heap; formerly of the band Frou Frou, where she sang and her male partner wrote the lyrics (I think), however this is from her solo work. She seems to have a pretty broad vocal range though, so I guess I can see why you might be confused by some of the deeper notes.
