  • In reality it was Capt Mike Daniel who actually found the QAR after Intersal had spent more than 10 years trying to locate the wreck. Mike worked with Intersal and located the wreck in 7 days after examining the documents Intersal provided. Give credit where credit is due

  • i dont think maynard killed teach i think his men did him in. noone will ever really know now i suppose. but i have to say hail to teach for sticking it to the goverment in a 17th century england with the empire spread thin shitt out and on by the powers that were like the rest of the Malnutritioned ex patriots .wich is still the case today.that evil son of a bitch took them all on . and thoes powers that were were worse or as bad as the pirates them very selves X

  • The coast of North Carolina is a very dynamic environment. Sand bars appear and disappear on a regular basis. After the Queen Anne's Revenge ran aground at the entrance to Beaufort inlet the sand bar beneath it slowly eroded and eventually covered the wreck. Try standing at the edge of the surf. You will notice that you gradually sink down. Same thing happened to the Queen Anne's Revenge.

  • What makes me wonder: If the ship was run aground, shouldn't the shipwreck be far closer to the surface? Ocean levels may have risen somewhat, but how can a ship that was abandoned being stuck in sand already sink?
