haha whats funny is last summer i bought a GTS 320 to get ready for crysis. Then before i even got the game, i sold it and bought a 8800GT. Then eventually stepped up to the GTS 512 which is when i finally got the game :p

Impressive, but IMO Crysis really ought to be played at high resolutions - 1280 x 1024 or higher - to do it justice. The 320 GTS just can't slug it out at that resolution...but with the new 512 version out now and the 9600 GT going so cheap, it's all good.

On 1280x1024 it isnt playable anymore. The frameroute cuts out. I've runned the benchmark on assault harbor level. Everything very high (XP hack)

AVG 21.5. That's on 1280x1024.

But i'm selling this system and buy one with a 9800GTX+ :D

i got a pentium 4 3.4ghz and 2Gb ddr2 @ 800mhz with an 8800gts 320mb and im getting 20-25fps with all settings maxed with very high cfg hack, 16xQ AA and 16 Anisotropic filtering, also settings in NV control panel set to high quality, so unless your using a pentium D or something, you got serious problems. try a new motherboard, i just changed mine and i got 100% performance increase

ok this video brought up a topic i need help with i just got the 8800 gts ssc, with crysis xd. and i run everything on low as it can go with only 5-20fps WTF? even with high settings its the same. same with counter strike source. and maybe ill try that aa setting off but my driver version for it is V 6.14.11.6928

This is what I just done about 3 minutes ago and it worked. My game runs much faster now. Turn off your paging file for all your drives reboot and run the game, mine runs really smooth now.

if u have the new gts u can run on very high and high depending on the rest of ur system lol on any other gts 640 u wont play very high with out a little lag to play on max u need a really good card and vista get the 8800 gt its better or get the new gts best in class

this is sweet, as you will get more out of your card when playing in DX10, as the stream processors in the card takes loads of the job from the CPU and core GPU. awesome, had no idea the gts 320 had that power!

I'm getting pretty much the same system, but a 8600gtsOC2 instead. obviously this is quite a bit worse, but how much should that really affect the GFX? I will have vista, so all the proper DX10 stuff.

Any ideas/ comments?

you should better get a 8800 gts is a lot faster than the 8600, the 8600 has less memory and less memory bit interface so dont expect much performance on that card.

i have my self a XFX 8800 GTS 320MB XXX Edition and compare it to my friend 8600 gts

even tho i have a p4 3.2 ghz single core with 2 GB ram ddr400 i run games like bioshock,MOH:A,CRYSIS SP DEMO lot better (1024x768,MAX SETTINGS,No AA.) than my friends 8600 gts, also my friends rig is a core duo 3.0 Ghz and 2Gb Ram DDR2 1066Hz

i would seriously consider getting a hd 3850 instead. it is in the same price range as the 8600 but seriously it gives only slightly worse preformance than the 8800gts.
