  • Wunderbár! Grüsse: Bela

  • wow really good tapping, however those turns of hers need work, YIKES!

  • Woah! Incredible, she has an odd dancing style, off balance almost.

  • Bedankt uw. Thansk a lot. I have got nicer Christmas.

  • Hutab vor diesem Können!

  • I love IT!!!!!!

    I Love Marika!!!!!

  • Grandios!

  • Unvergessen!!!

  • Yes, women certainly are dangerous---this clip proves that! Some mean tap dancing and Hungarian fire by Marika Roekk. Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Well, I myself knew this lady personally. She was just like a grandmother-similar friendship of mine in the 80s. Have you ever seen her? Sorry, she died in 2004.

  • Fanstastic! I love this clip! Marika, is awesome! I saw her only once on stage! Oh, what for a temper and such fire! *giggles*

  • Un film sympathique.

  • This truly is a fine European equivalent to the Hollywood musicals of that time

  • In certain parts, does her tapping sound like popcorn popping to anyone else? Her taps are making me hungry!

  • How old is this? I can't imagine a bastard like Hitler allowing anyone to see anything this fun.

  • Marika Röck was a great dancer, singer and actress and probably the best paid hungarian artist in Germany, the (partly ?) jewish actress, singer and dancer Zarah Leander rose to be the best paid female artist in Hitler-Deutschland. (The Deutsche Wikipedia doesn't reveal anything about her heritage, anybody surprised ?)

  • Enjoyed watching. If anyone has clips of actress Marianne Hoppe in her films of the 1930s/40s, please post. Thanks.

  • Except for the very first moments, this is a very good example of what the european film industry could well achieve in the 30's.

Fine music, choreography, nice blending of voice and tap technique by an altogether fine performer: MARIKA ROKK

  • the sounds of her taps makes me so excited turns me on
