That's fucking funny shit there...reminds of Ringo moving his own drum set up around for the crowds during each song LOL...I can't believe these rockers have to go through this kind of shit not now adays How about U2 tickets 750.00 a piece OMG and don't forget service fees and parking LOL.. I hope they feed the 3rd world with some of it ;)
I saw this man play a gig in Westchester New York. How he ever got there is a miracle. It was a snow storm so bad that only half the people showed up. He came from Atlanta. This was right after he left the band Kansas. He was 4 feet from me the whole show.He was amazing to watch up close.
Read up all you rock star wannabes - Any rock star primadona would have thrown a fit and refused to play the show. This man is a consummate professional. You can't just play great, you have to be a mature, capable human being.
agreed. He is the total package: a brilliant player who is equal parts technique and finesse, an amazing composer well versed in all styles and by all accounts a true gentleman. He is also an incredible instructor not only of how to play but the right attitude as well. He's been one of my hero's since i bought "High Tension Wires" on cassette that i found in a bargain bin in Nashville for $4.98
the first album (free fall) came out, and I sent him a note in '78 about a new music venue in my town
that was perfect for the dregs to play in. He sent a Christmas card and thanked me, and wished me a merry Christmas (he's a Christian) and that card was my prized possesion until my Dad's second wife threw it out. And they did play the venue, right after dregs of the earth came out.
the improvise at 4:35 - 4:54 is just so beautiful!!!
