Thom you have accomplished so much in your life that , your mother would be so proud of you. Your career as an Actor, artist, coming out as a positive gay role model where other gay men like myself can be proud of. I'm 51 and their are times when I look at my life and wonder what have I been doing here. I may not be on the same level as you are, but I have accomplished so much that it makes me proud. I love your openess and have always thought to myself that you would make a cool friend.lol.

For years in my young adult years I could not watch you or Tom Cruise (you always reminded me a lot of TC, but I always thought you are better looking)..I literally was dragged to see the movie. 'Top Gun' by friends and anytime Tom would come on screen I would put my head down (so needless to say I missed most of the movie)..I was secretly suffering from extremely low self esteem back in the 80s.so whenever I would see you (& or TC) on tv/mags it was rough.happy to say it is now a lot easier xx
