We are so neglecting that we, these days, have even forgotten our customs and rituals and other basic things.

It's symbolic, the stories in it. It conveys certain ideas and stories about God and living life in this world. Infact from the puranas, even Gaudapada, Shankaracharya's teacher has said that everything should be rational before being accepted.

music of and for god, a form of meditation and praise the virtues of god. One of my friend tried different music on new born of his, it amzing to see what stops baby crying and what makes him cry? In India mother use to sing to make baby sleep.Vibration of sound effect electrical energy of body to produce an effect which is balancing or unbalancing.
