Jesus cared more about divorce and adultery less about homosexuality. not being gay is not in the commandments. but not obeying are parents is. non of us are perfect in the end we are all equal and judging is like a blind fold that keeps u from seeing that, we are ALL gods children.
We all need to understand where God stands. His level of holiness is far beyond anything we can imagine. We all deserve hell right now. And that's because we all sin. The only way we can gauge what is right or wrong is what God has laid out in the bible. As Christians, we need to be representing Christ's love so that people want to come to Him and find His love. Let God judge, we just love. Ya digg it?
being gay or bi should be legal in the same way that being a nonchristian is legal. yes, we christians have an obligation to call them out on it, just as we have an obligation to testify to nonchristians. but we are not to force them.
Why don't all of you read more than the sentence you're quoting? God says not to judge another's salvation. If someone is sinning we are duty bound to call them out, Christian or not.
We aren't told to be tolerant of anything. Sin is wrong no matter how popular it is with society.
Love includes telling someone they are wrong. If you don't think so, then let your kid stick his fork in a power outlet. I'm gonna tell him no.

@HHHdahman Leviticus 18:22 reads, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind" it is abomination. SIN IS AN ABOMINATION. Sure God loves everyone but if those he loves refuse to repent and continue to live in sin, they will go to Hell. Leviticus 20:13 also reads, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Hawk Nelson are a nice little pop/punk band, there is nothing special about their tunes, I like listening to pop/punk sometimes and Hawk Nelson is one of those bands. And no I don't have to be a God fanatic to like their music, because I don't even interpret their songs in some religious manner.

@frostfoe Yes according to the bible. Any homosexuality is wrong. Being gay is a mindset more than anything. It can be caused by something bad at home, bullying, or just feeling like you don't belong anywhere so you switch "sides". Saying it is wrong to be gay is not a sin so long as you lovingly tell that person that it's wrong. So you can't be like "You're gay? You can't be that's a sin." You still love them no matter what, but it's still wrong to be gay. It affects everybody in some way.
@WooWoo677 So, according to the Bible homosexuality is wrong, not God. Humans wrote the bible. Humans have opinions. If gay was a mindset, why have so many gay teens killed themselves? Why are gay people 3x more likely to kill themselves? You can't say that being gay is wrong and say it in a loving way because that is saying it is wrong to be who you are. So if someone out there got married to the same sex partner, it would affect you? It wouldn't.

And yes, that is when I question the source of your beliefs, when it causes people to become condescending as you are, telling people to 'correct their ways' because you disagree with how they live their life.The Bible has no true ratifiability. Jesus for example, has no historical context, outside of Josephus, who has been proven a forgery for centuries.

Okay first off, no one is born gay. Its a choice (Hey, I'm a lesbian so I can say this.). Second, it's Gomorrah, not Gamordia. Third, focus on the true meaning of the song! Hawk Nelson is using the lyrics to bring things to the attention of people (most likely teenagers), like what budget cuts do to kids that have these activities to keep them off the street, or how people who rape/steal/kill are getting off way too easy.

Have any of you noticed that most of the arguments against homosexual relations in the Bible stem from the fact that roman soldiers wanted to rape people not two homosexuals in a consenting monogamous relationship... i noticed that, but it also talks about how, in sodom and gomorrah, men were having unnatural relations. and, in paul's letters to several churches, he warns against it and urges them to avoid it. personally, if God Most High wanted that to happen, adam would have had a male partner or someone in the Bible would be mentioned if they were gay, you know? i believe in the sanctity of marriage and that God has the perfect guy for me. i believe in righteousness, so i don't believe in gay marriage.

i believe that marriage--whether done in a court room or a church--is meant to be between one man and one woman. i'm not saying that my marriage is less valid, i'm just saying it's right. if that makes any sense... i believe that we are to marry the opposite sex because that is how God created us to be--the biology...and everything else... we are helpmates to each other. the way our hearts are made, etc.

Matt 19:12 says that men are born steril, and that some choose not get married because they are devoted to God, it says nothing about gays smart one...

there is nothing wrong with gay people. I can understand that. I agree that the Christian community tends to fall into a habit of judgment, despite the Bible teaching that judgment and vengeance belong to God alone.

Why don't all of you read more than the sentence you're quoting? God says not to judge another's salvation. If someone is sinning we are duty bound to call them out, Christian or not.
We aren't told to be tolerant of anything. Sin is wrong no matter how popular it is with society.

It merely says gay marriage is in a "state where they don't care." It would make more sense to deduct that he's mad because the legal process ignored the majority. Hawk Nelson are a nice little pop/punk band, there is nothing special about their tunes, I like listening to pop/punk sometimes and Hawk Nelson is one of those bands. And no I don't have to be a God fanatic to like their music, because I don't even interpret their songs in some religious manner.

@frostfoe Yes according to the bible. Any homosexuality is wrong. Being gay is a mindset more than anything. It can be caused by something bad at home, bullying, or just feeling like you don't belong anywhere so you switch "sides". Saying it is wrong to be gay is not a sin so long as you lovingly tell that person that it's wrong. So you can't be like "You're gay? You can't be that's a sin." You still love them no matter what, but it's still wrong to be gay. It affects everybody in some way.

Okay first off, no one is born gay. Its a choice (Hey, I'm a lesbian so I can say this.). Second, it's Gomorrah, not Gamordia. Third, focus on the true meaning of the song! Hawk Nelson is using the lyrics to bring things to the attention of people (most likely teenagers), like what budget cuts do to kids that have these activities to keep them off the street, or how people who rape/steal/kill are getting off way too easy.

i noticed that, but it also talks about how, in sodom and gomorrah, men were having unnatural relations. and, in paul's letters to several churches, he warns against it and urges them to avoid it. personally, if God Most High wanted that to happen, adam would have had a male partner or someone in the Bible would be mentioned if they were gay, you know? i believe in the sanctity of marriage and that God has the perfect guy for me. i believe in righteousness, so i don't believe in gay marriage.

I am too, so my answer is prejudiced in that way.
i believe that marriage--whether done in a court room or a church--is meant to be between one man and one woman. i'm not saying that my marriage is less valid, i'm just saying it's right. if that makes any sense... i believe that we are to marry the opposite sex because that is how God created us to be--the biology...and everything else... we are helpmates to each other. the way our hearts are made, etc.

I am not hammering Gay people, or saying that God cannot forgive them, I am just saying that God disproves of this practice, just like disproves of Abortion, Murder, Stealing, etc. In other words, being gay is a sin, and is listed as a sin in the Bible, and there are no passages in the bible supporting gay marriage.

I disagree with what your saying completely because i believe nothing is wrong with gay people. they simply like the same sex and are different from the "norm" with what they like. i see it as being like some people like tuna and others don't. its personal preference, you can't simply fix what they like cuz nothing is wrong with them. i'm not trying to be offensive with anyone's beliefs. i'm not religious myself so i'm just stating what i feel.

I can understand that. I agree that the Christian community tends to fall into a habit of judgment, despite the Bible teaching that judgment and vengeance belong to God alone.
The reason that bands and politicians and others in the Christian community stand up against homosexuality is because we are constantly attacked for our beliefs and we are told that we MUST accept something that we know is wrong.

I love this song. And guys, if you're Christian, and believe that being Gay is wrong because of the Bible, then that just makes no sense. I'm Christian, and I have NO problem with Gay people. You know, the Bible ALSO says that any child who disobeys their parents should be 'put to death' but do we all listen to every word our parents say?
The Bible is, like, a million years old. THOSE WERE DIFFERENT TIMES.

Yikes, you should take a class in textual criticism. The Bible's translation is pretty darn direct (see the discovery of Isaiah amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls) and Paul's writings against homosexuality date less than 2,000 years.
I don't understand how you could be a Christian and not believe the Bible- considering that it is the source from which we discover the most about who he was.
No offense, but I think you should reexamine what it means to lay down your life for Christ

For the record, I NEVER said I don't believe what the Bible says.
I grew up in a church teaching us that God and Jesus love everyone with the full of their hearts, no matter who they fall in love with.
And it makes sence.
Maybe not to you, but to me.
And who are YOU to say: "I don't know how you can be Christian.." seriously?
I said that being Gay isn't wrong, because I don't think that God would not love someone because of who THEY love.

First of all, you were the one who called everybody out and said "If you are a Christian and think being gay is wrong...it doesnt make sense". My argument is that the New Testament teaches against the practice, and, since the Bible is the primary text of Christianity, a Christian opposing homosexuality is logical.
Of course God still loves them. But to say that He "accepts" their lifestyle? That is a stretch
