  • @COLDPLAYYSNOWPATROL

I did that too. It was really painful. I don't think i'll ever watch it again.

  • 2:40

  • Wake Up isn't an original song from Where the Wild Things Are. It's from the album Funeral by Arcade Fire.

  • Yeah this is not original at all, this is from Funeral.

  • @1Lemmen1 There was an original version with acoustic guitar, harmonica, and other acoustic instruments that was made for the trailer. This isn't that version though.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't get why it says original, this isn't arcade fire's channel and this song wasn't made for the movie

  • I haven't seen the movie but the book is epic!!!

This song makes me cry for some reasong, it's just so perfect.

  • My obsession over Arcade Fire and this spectacular book really makes me believe I can never grow up and no one can tell me how to grow up. It takes time and expierience :)

  • more than two thumbs up for me....kids these days are all about gadgets, you name it they have it......... they rarely play outside anymore.... this movie is soooo great coz it makes me remember all the wild things i've done with my brother and cousins and all my playmates when i was a child... we used to run around places, poke our heads wherever it's restricted and everything........ sigh..... i wish kids could do the same and let their imagination run wild....

  • -This sonq kinda makes you wanna be a kid all over aqain.

  • Whoah, cool song! Plz check out this AMAZING webshow! Trust me, it'll be worth ur time! (Click my username for more info_ :))

  • i can relate alot to max at the begining of this movie. i used to act just like him, dressing like a wolf and running on all fours, snarling and howling and getting agressive. my parents would yell at me and lock me in my room. i was never able to express the real wild, free-hungry animal inside me

  • @wolfpaw999 Shut your trap, disgusting furry.

  • @BREN9003 wow you must really have nothing to do. FYI im not a furry, im a therian, get your terms straight human.

  • @wolfpaw999 Lol, you're hilarious. You're a human too, bud. Wake the fuck up.

  • @BREN9003 you can think what youd'e like but i know what i am. i am a wolf stuck in a human's body. if you dont respect anything of the natural sorts then why the hell are you listening to this music?

  • @wolfpaw999 It's a good song. And you are most certainly not a wolf stuck in a humans body. You're just fucking retarded.

  • @wolfpaw999 you talk about natural sorts and you think you're a fucking wolf?! dam, you got to WAKE UP and see what your are, you may not like it, but thats what NATURE made you look like, you're HUMAN........ retard

  • Who sings thiis ?

  • @AlainaIshDaBomb The Arcade Fire...One of the greatest bands of the past decade...

  • @pavement27 of today! TODAY!

  • @AlainaIshDaBomb Arcade Fire

  • Even though I'm not a huge fan of this movie, I do think it had a good message. I feel bad for kids today. At school they are treated like robots, they have terrible cartoons to watch, they cannot go into their own back yard with out being afraid, and they have to have their career planned out by the time their 10. I'm glad i grew up before the internet took over everything.

  • I love this movie and the song i Great :/

  • I wish I could be a kid again. I feel like I didn't go on enough adventures!

  • I feel like just listening to this song brings back memories of this movie. Today my teacher called my mom and told her that i got a lunch detention for roaming the halls. like seriously big deal. Now i am like grounded forever, i cant go anywhere, can't play on my travel basketball team, cant go to my school's talent show, life just sucks for me. Anyways, this song just cheers me up because it brings back the memories of all the fun there was in the movie.

  • yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • LET THE WILD RUMPUS BEGINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

  • There's something about the picture that is in this video that I like in particular; something about the fact that a monster is hiding behind a tree, scared.

  • 12 people listen to justin beiber and hannah montana

  • thumbs this up if you cried when you saw this movie!!

  • @IndoorSwimingPool Just about :)

  • @IndoorSwimingPool Yep, at the end i did cry a little. I am such a pussy.

  • @IndoorSwimingPool

Yep, sat in the back of the theater crying like an idiot, but its cool, I know a bunch of other people were probably crying too.

  • @IndoorSwimingPool A MIIILIION times(:

  • I cried inside.... If I were to shed a tear the fabric of space-time would collapse into the ass end of a black hole!!! OOOoooooooo!!!

  • ummm old arcade fire maybe lol not original song

  • i love this!

  • This song legit gives me chills whenever I hear it.

  • O thanks:P

  • Love that movie. It brought tears to my kid's eyes, such a great movie. Now they pretend to be monsters lol and have a great imagination.

  • Original song or whatever... it's pure love. This song is what drew you into the trailer, the emotion conveys the movie perfectly.

  • im trying to finnd who plays this song but i cant find it who is it does anyone know!?

  • @Welcome01213 arcade fire

  • @Welcome01213 Arcade Fire...

  • @Welcome01213 arcade fire :]

  • who does this song?

  • @sinistersin13 Arcade Fire

  • why do people just assume that if a song is in a movie and they've never heard it before, it's "from that movie"

  • This music will definitely move you strongly! It will bring out emotions in you and memories you've long forgotten but stored deep in your heart! If only my brother were alive to see this! It was his favourite book as a child! he woulda been 45 this passed January 6th! We love you, Brian!

  • Its funny i love arcade fire but i never knew this song by them until this movie came out

  • This movie makes me want to go outside and use my imagination while I run aimlessly. I'm 18.

  • I am loving this song :)

  • this movie and song fit hand in hand

  • I like it between 3:53 - 4:39

  • me gusta mucho la musica de karen o and the kids pero creo que siempre me quedare con wake up de arcadefire

  • 11 people must have problems

  • @TVman123233 I think so I'm not sure they saw th movie ...

    Now it's 12 people .

This movie is amazing ! Who had never been sent in his/her room without dinner and imagine a world like did Max ?

My parents used to read me this book when I was young , everyday , until they died when I was 4.

This movie made me cry mainly because of my parents but also beause I'm like Max .

    I DON'T WANNA GROW OLD !! XD

I hope you could have watched it normaly !

  • c'mon give arcade fire some credit

  • this song is completely emotional

    gets me everytime ;)

  • this song reminds me of my best friends that I had move away from to one of them it was their favorite song and we used to sing it together every time i hear it i think of them and try to remember all the good times we used to have. i miss them everyday

  • Ahhhhh. Arcade Fire have been my favorite band for about three years and I've listened to this song about a zillion times and every time I listen to it, tears swell up (most of the time I really cry) and I get goosebumps and I just want to run outside and scream at the top of my lungs.

  • i really wanted to see this movie, but i couldn't ):

    heard it was RLLY good

  • This song gives me chills.

  • Seriously, you're not going to mention the band? It's Arcade Fire. Give credit where credit's due.

  • never saw th movie, but I love this song. I sa this band on Autsin city limits on PBS

  • @EdwardPack1988 when were they on Austin City Limits? I knew they were but I'm not sure when

  • @BehindTheSea29 not sure when

  • @EdwardPack1988 Around the time the movie came out, they had a different version though, kind of like a half accoustic, half electric version

  • @EdwardPack1988 Oh, okay, I'll figure it out. Too bad I missed it when it premiered though

  • There is a wild thing in all of us. So lets so that wild thing even adults can. LET THE WILD RUMPUS START!!!!!!.

  • This movie can stop depress-en period

  • love this song so bad=}

  • i love this song and the movie is sad

  • i will always love this song!!!!!!

  • wow i love this song i haven't actually seen the movie but i LOVE the kids book lmao

  • this song is fantastic and i love it so much.

  • Great, amazing, astounding soundtrack! not so great, amazing and astounding movie. I loved the graphics and the art but the movie reminded me of how scary I thought the book was.

  • OMG! D; this soundtrack means so much to me! becouse for a couple months we had a student teacher and today was here last day and EVERYONE cried so did she. she is very special and she said i was here favorite without a doubt and said im here friend ;'D im in 7th grade

  • This Arcade Fire song, plus the way it was used in the trailer, is what sold me to the movie. It was very well done, and was the way the book was suppose to be. A very nice tale of the various personalities of a single child and his influences colliding in a fantasy world.

  • fet film med ännu fetare soundtrack

  • peter pan's my idol, but i think i like max even more =D

  • @keykrisan awesome song too! love symphony!

  • Que bonita cancion

  • this is an epic song.. havent got the chance to see the movie yet.. judging from the trailer, i know it will be very heartwarming, and is a tearjerker..

  • I remember reading this book as a kid, knowing that one day I would read it again and wish I was a kid.

  • I actually didnt enjoy this movie. I personally found it too slow, just plain depressing and just too pointless at some parts, but I do agree that it had a lot of meaning in it. The music in it was really good though.

  • @moonlight72minuet my thoughts exactly. i thought it would have been way better than it was. spike jones was a bad pick for a kids movie.

  • @moonlight72minuet I gotta disagree. I think that it was a stupendous, beautiful film, exactly capturing the Author's views on kids books, namely that they shouldn't exist and that we should treat kids like adults, cus they have problems just as mature as Adults do. As a kid who grew up with some emotional problems myself, I found the melencoly of the film a perfect way of showing how Max is escaping his troubles through fantasy, yet also shows how much that doesn't actually work.

  • @RCrowlzor statisticly, a large portion of children today have at least some emotional problems, and I think this movie goes a long way towards bringing that to light.add to that the down right gorgeous film work, and we have sheer perfection in a movie.

  • @RCrowlzor That's true. Well connecting to it probably was a big factor though, because I admit I had no connections whatsoever to any of the characters, maybe that's also why I didn't like it. The story itself was fine, I just really didn't like how it was played out, the whole movie just felt awkward to me.

Thank you by the way for not doing a full out ''you're wrong this is right''. You're the first person to debate politely on youtube. xD

  • @moonlight72minuet no problem, I truly enjoy debating, a little to much at times, and I'm just polite by nature. I feel that when in order to debate you have to resort to being rude, you've lost your argument. why I think rather low of the tea partiers.

and on the subject of our miny debate, I guess your entiltled to that opinion, even if I will never fully be able to understand not being touched by this film, I guess it does happen and I'm kinda envious that you had no emotional problems.

  • @moonlight72minuet I get what you mean, I felt that way, too. And I agree with the meaning in, it was important

  • awwhh! D; this movie made me cry

  • we gotta keep our childhood safe & sound forever!!!!

  • Either way, original or not, this song is amazing! Watch the movie! It makes your imagination soar, adult or kid. This movie reminds all of us, we all have that spark of imagination and adventure inside of us. This song purely fits for the movie!

  • Time is not an object nor a disease but in truth it is a theif who takes away time precious time from us and oh how i miss those days as a child of no worry and a mindset for exploration where has time gone?

  • this is from Arcade Fire lol

  • the author doesnt care for childhood in this day in age, we all growup so quick then we leave our young hearts behind and become adults. its kinda sad

  • people keep talking about "it wont stay like this forever' or 'before i had anything to worry about'

thats why.. i set out to try to help kids to have a full childhood. i think that is an important part of life. you can change a kids entire life with a small action.

im not sayin i had a bad childhood, i just had a fairly lonely one.

  • I know what you mean. Parents divorced when I was 4, and then the constant changes between parents really screwed with my head. My mom was lenient and loving; my dad was irritable and made me feel like shit (still does, though we get along more often than not) most of my early childhood. Really fucks with your anatomy.

  • i agree

  • @antijelly

Agreed. The new generation kids aren't given much of a chance to express their selves recreationally and aren't given proper parental attention as well as love. Many of the kids of this new generation are pressured by their parents to strive harder in academic goals and so on. This is why our new generation is getting weaker in emotion and can't even express themselves to enjoy simpler things and so on.

  • @Crusism dude im doing a speech on that already

  • @Crusism

I think your assuming far too much. Not all parents are like that, my parents are perfectly comfortable with any path I choose. Saying that the generations are getting weaker because most parents are not good ones is an extremely bold statement. Maybe where you live that section is weak, but don't instantly assume the rest of the world is.

  • Comment removed

  • @antijelly i fucken did too i had no one

  • yes, its definately not mean to be a childrens movie, but a movie about childhood. director said so himself. lol

  • Really, I think its more for the older crowd. Sure, the basic idea is about a child. But when I was watching, I felt this overwhelming sense that I knew exactly what was happening to this kid. Smart kid, wild imagination, and no one to turn to. I used to shut myself away and just dream up wild stories, that exactly like Max's mom, my mom then typed up. I thought of some pretty wild shit. Still do.

  • loved this movie funny thing is inever read the book wen i was young i mean i heard of it bt it nvr really caught my attention till now

  • I can't get over how good this movie was thinking about watching it again tonight

  • i love this movie :'(

  • I just watched this with my mom, we saw so much hidden meaning in it. It's about growing up, and realizing you can't be a wild thing forever. Kinda melancholy :(

  • Every child has been there; coming to a realization this won't stay like this forever.

  • @nightfall1488 Youre dumb. You must have been a very passive, boring, overprotected wimpy kid.

  • It brings me back to a better time, a time when i didnt have to worry about anything...

  • This isn't a original song from the movie, it came out years before. Still a great song and anyone who hasn't seen this movie needs to because it's AMAZING!!! I swear I felt like a kid again after watching this movie because it's not a kid movie, its for the kid thats inside all of us.

  • @LovelyxMoments When I went to go see it, I went with a group of mid 20 year olds. And we all loved it.

  • @LovelyxMoments it is original they made a new version just for the film

  • @crawling47 sorry i guess i wasn't clear in my last comment, i meant that this song is the only one that isn't a original from the movie ost like the others, but i know what you mean, they rerecorded it for the movie, i read that somewhere too, but they only used it for the trailer.

  • @LovelyxMoments That Last Part You Said " its for the kid thats inside all of us" .

Dude Thats Pretty CornRoll Man : ) but good thought though .I Love The Movie Too

  • @superblahmk LOL, i would remove it cuz looking back on it now it looks so corny, but hey as of now 72 ppl agree with me so all i can is "I'm sorry," but honestly that's how I felt when I saw the film. It was opening day, the first showing and I only went cuz my class had canceled and I had the time, but it turned out to be really worthwhile. There were only about 5 of us in the theater and when it ended we all just looked at each other and went "that was a really good movie." Glad u saw it too!

  • As adults, we often can play with the Wild Things in dreams...trust me--they are still there waiting to dance and free your soul!

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS SOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!

  • You have to go into it knowing it isn't REALLY a child movie. It speaks to the inner child ( especially those who can relate to Max0. It is so so, I like it .

  • This is seriously the perfect song for this movie. Its dialogue, its chorus, its impetuosity match the movie amazingly well. Though it sadly wasn't featured in the film, it's awesome that it was at least attached through the commercials.

  • i like this song i think it is good it fits this movie very well

  • great song

  • Have you listened to the others?

and as for the poster of this video,

you know that it isn't an "original song from the motion picture" right?

This song is like 5 years old.

  • @azimuth457 yes i know all this that u are telling me and btw i do like them i think they are great but what i said is that their other songs dont seem as good as this one. well at least to my opinion =]

  • Well, yes and no. The original Wake Up came out in 2k5 but was redone for this movie. This isn't JUST the original

  • @Nanashi123 I was under the impression that it was redone (as were a lot of songs) for the album Neon Bible or whatever it is. I was disappointed with it mostly because of the lack of NEW material. This version came out much before the commercials for the movie.

  • phoenix? i never heard of them in my life to be honest. i just looked them up and theyr a french band, theyv only had an album on US charts once and it wasnt that high. i mean no offence to them or anything but i think superbowl goes for the huge bands that have been around a while that everyone knows like, the beatles (if it was possible), or green day, or dream theater (probably wouldnt be picked cuz of the genre alas) or possibly linkin park. i thought the who was a fine choice
