SON OF A #$@@&^% You got it!! Please you gotta help us to run compiz, I purchased this netbook specifically for its form and function and am having problems with Via drivers. Am running Ubuntu 8 hardy heron, Mininote KX868AT at 2 gig of ram. Wanna get rid of vista completely. Thanks, Chuck :{

I cannot get compiz to work on my mininote, running Ubuntu 8.10. I have the 1.2Ghz CPU model and was running Ubuntu 8.04. Never have successfully enabled compiz....

when you installed ubuntu did you have any driver issues ? wifi etc web cam ?

OMG THANK YOU!!! i've totally checked youtube like 15 t6imes.. i love my mininote.. i use it for taking notes in class and surfing the web.. but i haven't got compiz working yet.. i tried once but forgot to change the xorg.conf and then just didn't bother.. eventually i want to get compiz running and then do a virtual box with xp inside for compatibility!!! thanks for the video.. MININOTES FO LIFE!

p.s. I have the a latest linux kernel, do you think the via patches will work with it?
