I was looking all over for this song for Valentines day for my husband and I found several, but they were all set to fall out or something was wrong with them as far as I was concerned. Then I found this one. I love it. Thank you. It was perfect.
very nice version, quicker and soft and happy but neutral.. it would sound amazing as an studio version... good2dance, i could imagine even an drum n bass remix:D
I love your voice. I just don't like the song played this fast. Can you try it again slower so we can enjoy the chord progressions and your sumptuous vocals as you hold the notes a few bars :-)
This is faster then the Original. But is is bad? I dont think so. That was in contradistinction to the Original a really great Version. The Voice was Beatyfull. I cant believe that you have sing this Song. Dont stop that! Keep up the good work!
Great! I just want to ask why do You think it's an irony to have this song in computer games? Because of these games we get to know the music we wouldn't get to hear in other circumstances:) And we wouldn't get to hear you!
I just meant the song was used ironically as a literary device. The game depicts a world that has been all but destroyed, and the lyrics of the song say "I don't want to set the world on fire.." In dramatic irony the audience knows this context, but the singer of the song doesn't, thereby creating a kind of dark humor.
yes indeed. That is very true. Its basically a lighthearted song turned into something sad and dark because of the way the game uses it. Which I think is genius. There are no rules for music/art.
this is the song that got me into jazz guitar becus of fallout 3, i really love you're rendition you sound like billy holiday just a lot less raspy. and those chord voicings are brilliant. also im purchasing an archtop and if anyone has any input i'd be very happy to hear, im thinking a d-angelico excel series?
well i've never really been exposed to it but now i love mary halvorson, late coltrane, derek bailey etc.. i really love the dissonant stuff cus i love sonic youth and a lot of no wave stuff lydia lunch arto lindsay.
you have a great voice, it reminds me of doris day or vera or even the bev sisters, very clean and clear.....its a pity we cant see the chords you play, maybe you could post then up here pls ? pls tell us the chords =)
Hi Yes, a lot of people have had similar comments. I guess my version is not exactly based on the stately Ink Spots one, but more on the cheerier rendition of a guy named Marty Grosz. When I get time I will do one more "Spots-ish" and therefore more Fallout3. I didn't realize so many of you would know the song.
one has to understand that all the people here complaining about her "not singing this properly" is because the majority know this song from Fallout3. the version we have all learned to love so much. this video is incredible... this woman can sing and play guitar like a goddess..... BUT id also be super happy seing her play the version of the game fallout3.... nice and slow.... the fallout3 version is simply so unique. so is this one... arggh hard to say what i want to say. 5 stars nonetheless
If I were you then I would tr to get into some swing clubs. You have a good voice for big band and swing but definitely not for this song plus you play it way to fast and you messed up the song by trying to repeat certain words to make up for your rushing of the song.
Those repeat words were an improvisation and I kinda did it on purpose to make my version different, something we jazz singers do. I can do the song exactly as the Spots do, no problem, and slower, so I suppose I should to do that for you guys.
beautiful completely awestrikingly beautiful.....can u give me the tuning or is it the normal tuning and the chord progressions if you can .... oh did i say very beautiful

this version isn't as good as the original, because it isn't deep like the original.
I'll rate it 3. Voice and guitar is good but the lyrics are just messed up. ''fire... fire'' -.-
