In any emergency landing you shut off the fuel valve and turn off electrical so a spark won't ignite a tank should it rupture. Also, I didn't want the whole video because it's garbage, but he didn't go into some dive live you're saying- he got into what is a called a "death spiral" and is a very common condition when a VFR rated pilot encounters IMC conditions.

This is weak. The emergency procedure for any aircraft is to turn off the fuel valve if you are about to ditch.
