  • Every time I hear this song, I'm reminded of a little something that Miroku once said in the 3rd Inuysha movie:

"Well, I can sympathize. That's just how men think. It's quite natural that a boy's father is always at the forefront of his mind. It's hard to explain. You think you can at least do what your father can, and you hope that one day you'll surpass him. For boys, a father is their most influential role-model."

  • @TayoEXE nice observation of the subtlety there. R.I.P Seto

  • that one dislike is still mad at his father

  • Am I the only lunatic who makes a wolf noise whenever this tune starts playing?

  • @dmaulition

Heh, "lunatic" would technically be used quite well here since lunatic does refer to the moon, in which a wolf howls to. Anyway, you're not insane.

  • Nanaki's always gonna be my favourite character. And this makes me feel so sad....

  • Final Fantasy 7 brings out the emotion in you. I don't know what it is, but it feels like more than a game. You hear this song and you just get the goosebumps that you had when you first got to Seto. Squaresoft somehow contacted God when they came up with FF7, becuase no man can ever make another game of it's calibur.

  • Isn't it amazing how great this game really is? 15 years later and we're still discussing like it happened only yesterday.

Absolutely timeless. Please, SE, get a grip of yourselves and look back to your roots.

  • @uznaal your right, its one of those songs that will live on forever :D

  • Rest in Peace, Seto

  • Back when ffXI??? I think, came out, I remember thinking why and how the heck can they make ff7 so good only to fall and make a crap like this? The other installments leading to XI was ok and good and X was bearable. But still I continue to ask; why the heck they can't just reuse the ff7 battle mechanic, since it's still freakin great with a good mix of strategic placing (thinking) involved, and that's comparing all the modern games like skyrim, wow, dragon age, FFX + has to offer.

  • This Song Helps Me Think All The Time, to cope with loss, stress, and nostolgia...i miss those times having this game when i was 6, now im 18..time flys so quickly, but this music still stays in my heart forever

  • @VladamirXLifeless13 I feel the same I played the game when i was around 15 now i'm 25, yet this is still one of the only few songs that I still remember and still puts a tear or two in my eyes. I guess it's alot easier back then to associate a game's theme music to a sweet childhood memory, even if it's ment to be a sad/heroic? one.

  • "But its hard to animate fur"

Quit whining, and put more Red into the other installments of the compilation.

  • this game is amazing real talk

  • If only they had an extra soft :(

  • I cried again

  • i spent hours in the cosmo canyon without playing just to hear this song

  • @TheDude9491 Me too...

  • This game... this game isn't just a game, it's feelings, it make you feel happy, sad... it make you cry! Isn't just a game, I played it all my life and I enjoyed it like If I was in the game... one char more... and this song remember me that isn't just a game, it's the only game that can make me feel.

  • when nanaki howled i remember a tear came to my eye...

  • This song it makes me remember my family....the ones who have moved on. This song some how opens that path for me. I don't expect many people to understand what the heck I am saying.

  • @ShadowZash I know what you mean, and thats cool man.

  • it makes me feel the same too.

  • (23:06:44) p.i.: Final Fantasy VII OST - The Great Warrior in honor of shap and imag :v <- Thanks pi ♥

  • I love this game...........

  • I get goosebumps just reading the title.

  • 0.37 its so beatiful, makes me cry, and travel on my mind.. So so beatiful.

  • this song makes me sad :'(

  • I can understand that a Phoenix Down won't revive someone who's already dead.

But I cannot for the life of me understand how a Soft would not cure his father.

  • @Antiformed Well dude, when you hit 0 HP, your characters aren't really dead, just out cold. When you are dead, you are dead like you know....... poor Aeris.

Now, maybe Seto could have been brought back with a super soft from FF9. lol

  • i NEED another game like this

  • @yungsuh2

    Me too. :(

  • to me it was really silly how bugen and red xiii's mom didnt want red to find out about his father, i mean why??

  • I'll be honest. As soon as I learned what an X-Potion does to the GI Tribe leader, well, let's just say there's a reason for that 1 dislike ^_^"

  • Seto > Chuck Norris

  • Re-played this game not too long ago. Pretty fucking amazing game too.

  • Nanaki is the olny pet in the world i would not want to keep in my house xD, hed just destory everything

  • @knightpnyou no he wouldn't...

  • @BrickCity4eva if you pisshim off yes :O

  • @knightpnyou Well, you can kick multiple balls at him...and he does nothing but growl

  • @BrickCity4eva he might be chargin his COSMO LAZAR

  • @knightpnyou You mean Cosmo Memory?

  • @BrickCity4eva ofc cosmo memory ,but stardust ray is way better once you can hit 9k with it

  • @knightpnyou I never used Red XIII that much but isn't Stardust Ray where Stars drop on the opponent?

  • @BrickCity4eva yea, and it hits them like 10+ times

  • I hated Red XIII. He was supposed to be some kind of Navajo or something. Listen to me play the world's tiniest violin...

  • I listen to this, remembering exactly how I felt at that point in the game. That was one amazing thing about the lack of voice acting in video games; the music carried the emotion. I also think, that despite how much I love it and would enjoy seeing better graphics, they /shouldn't/ remake it. No matter how much more beautiful, no matter the voice acting, no matter the quality of music, it just would never be able to have the same impact, as sad as that sounds.

  • @RukiXXIII It might sound weird, but you must play Crisis core, it got me more emotionaly than ff7. Its the same universe, the same character, yet with voice acting and good graphics and god this is fucking amazing..

  • @TarnDarkBlade72 ... until you see Genesis. I have no emotional interest in Genesis and his very presence is a massive retcon that ruins several pivotal moments, most notably Nomura trying to tell me Genesis caused Sephiroth to go mad. Um, no, I think I trust my childhood more than your new script, Nomura.

  • @Antiformed He didnt help, yet its not him that got Sephiroth mad, he already ask himself questions in the Nibelheim Reactor, and get the intence headache before Genesis come, Genesis just accelarated the process.

  • @TarnDarkBlade72 Genesis told him about JENOVA being the source of his power. That scene was such a greaty part of the original because it was so isolated. Adding Genesis upset me because he was tampering with a great moment in my childhood gaming history.

  • @Antiformed Still, Sephiroth would have figured out, he's not Stupid. He would have went in the basement and read about it.

  • 1 person chopped off Bugenhaggen's legs because they hated this song.

  • Truth is a powerful thing; the lack of is also a powerful thing.

  • this reminds me when i accidentally used my X-potion on the gi tribe leader...and...he died.

  • I am Nanaki! Brave son of Seto the warrior!!

  • Seto is a badass.

  • 0:55 WOOOO, gave me chills!! so inspiring!!! if only they orchestra this song too!!! bet it would be epic!!!!!!

  • 1:12

    OMG

It's so a sad, but hopeful music!

  • this is without a doubt the greatest part in gaming history. the lead up, the story bugenhaggen tells, the music. it really gets u. how red 13 was always so angry at his dad and he finally learns the truth. through seto's ultimate sacrifice cosmo canyon was saved. true hero. i love this part. makes me cry a bit everytime i play it

  • @sdick12 kinda reminds me of naruto shippuden, when sasuke finally kills itachi, his brother, who he though was evil, cuz itachi killed their clan...and then sasuke finds out the truth that itachi was a good guy and was forced to do it or else the village would kill them all, even sasuke, who itachi left to be the one to get revenge...just telling u in case u dont watch naruto :D

  • @sdick12 Really the sadist thing about this part is that no one even bothers to give him a "soft"

    *sniff* selfish bastards...

  • @gnarkill4life

They wanted to, but if they did, he would instantly die from his wounds or old age.

    I'm depressed now. ;3;

  • @gnarkill4life I think it's like in FFV when Spoiler: Galuf dies. His life has met it's "true end" and his soul is leaving peacefully, so the magical items like Phoenix Downs, or Softs, and whatnot don't have the effect they would if you were knocked out, not quite dead, or dead before your time. That's my theory anyway. Same for Aerith.

  • @sdick12 makes seto cry to

  • @sdick12 not that its a bad thing, but, holy fanboy goggles lol

  • Amazing. Still learning how to properly play this on guitar (yes, I'm a noob).

  • FFVII!! <33 :D omg :( i miss this game so much!!

  • I only hope the person dislikes it because of how sad it makes them feel from their memories of the game :(

  • @silsae Nah....probably had eyes full of tears and mistakenly pressed the wrong button :3

  • And for the sake of some sort of dislike comment because I've never done one before, the Gi tribe's ghostly leader made a YT account...

  • @RyuzakiFan1 and afterwards got 1 hitted by an X-Potion :D

  • @Birdie1987 lmao, funny times.

  • @RyuzakiFan1 that bastard!

  • This song is too short ):

  • ya ya been awhile since I played Seto Red 13 Dad ??? Yes !!!

  • @jasonrenaud Seto is Nanaki's(Red 13) Father.

  • @jasonrenaud Seto, Nanaki's dad, who Nanaki thought was a coward who supposedly left the people of Cosmo Canyon for dead, died, in the Cave of Gi....Nanaki was named Red XIII by Simon Hojo, Shinra's scientist as a research specimen since Nanaki is the last of his kind. He then brings in Aeris, who was captured by the Turks, since she is the last of the Cetra, or Ancients, Hojo tries to cross breed Nanaki and Aeris to end both from going extinct

  • @jasonrenaud Bugenhaggen, who is proclaimed as Nanaki's grandfather, and who studies the lifestream and the Planet itself, takes you through the Cave of Gi to show Nanaki that his father, Seto, was not a coward, but a great warrior and hero who died to protect Cosmo Canyon, and Nanaki and his mother

  • When RED 13 Dies n turned to STONE !!!!!!!

  • @jasonrenaud seto isnt red 13

  • @jasonrenaud WROOOOONG.

  • @jasonrenaud naaaah bro. thats Seto: Red 13's dad

  • @thereck24 his name is Nanaki not red 13.

  • this tune is played, I think, twice. The first time well, we all know when. The second time is when Bugenhagen dies. This theme is, therefore, made sadder by it's association with both those bittersweet moments. That is evidence of the greatness of FF7.
