It wasn't. It was a stunt double. Larry was backstage using a microphone pretending. The stunt jumper bashed his face on that railing and there was blood all over the inside of his helmet. It was NOT Larry.
Yeah, actually his entire face shield was shattered and covered with blood. It was pretty bad, but the dude took it really well. Required stitches and everything but the jumper was a trooper.
How do we really know it's Larry the Cable guy? Could never see his face.
