  • I like how when Michael Ball let out his "my place is here, I fight with you", Frances and Samantha turned to each other as if saying "wow".

  • Nick Jonas is out of his element in Les Miz.

  • @shylifter no hes not. cameron mackintosh doesnt think so, and hes more relevant than you are. he was fantastic if you listened with non biased ears.

  • Like if you think Nick Jonas should continue to play in broadway like that

  • This is really awful =[

  • the current london cast of les miserables are taking part in west end eurovision on 21st april at the piccadilly theatre, tickets are almost sold out, last few remaining, its a truly faulous night, lots of clips of previous west end eurovisions on youtube, tickets can be booet at ambassadors tickets website or by calling 0844 871 7630

  • @maestredemagia,

I believe Matt Lucas got the part of Thernadier as a favour from Cameron Macintosh. In my opinion he was nowhere near as right for the part as was Alun Armstrong. He just sounded like one of his 'Little Britain' characters. He's a funny man,but should just stick to comedy.

  • The only bad thing is I didnt see Phllip Quast who was the best Javert and my personal fav of them all.

  • is the woman who sang in eponines place the one who sang memory? whats her name?

  • wait what just happened? was too busy staring at ramin......... ; )

  • @NLBtheONLYfiyero hahaha me too ;)

  • YOU WERE THERE?!?!??!

oh i am jellin so bad right now.

  • this is probably the 20th time i have seen this video and i'll probably watch it 100 more times t least. wonderful performance <3

    (:

  • Love the whole performance! It's a pity Marius didn't show up until the last number though.

  • Gotta say it,& apologies to all the other countries who've performed Les Mis',but we Brits DO put on a magnificent show! I have no doubt all the other countries who've wowed with their performances made a great job of it.But I have to say thumbs up to the production of the 10th anniversary and 25th anniversary Les Mis'.

  • @popazz1 .....my place is here i fight with you...who else could possibly sing it...x x

  • @thunderbirds1954 ,Well,I don't know, that's why I made the apology at the start of my comment.I didn't want to appear as if I was saying no other country could put on a show the way we Brits do! But it's difficult not to be biased sometimes! And I've only seen it live in London,so I can't compare it to other countries! It's just great that it does have universal appeal.

  • bros before hoes marius.

    :|

  • Colm and Phillip are the best. hands down.

  • yes, michael, colm, rebecca et all are all amazing...but i LOVE frances ruffelle here!

  • The last "one day moooore" make me tremble !!

  • I have been dying to hear Rebecca Live for ages!!! AND COLM CAN STILL SING :D YAY!! AND RAMIN YOU FUCKING ROCK! And did I hear the almightly awesome Phillip Quast as Javert :D!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, Micheal was born to play marius nuff said.

  • @STwilightPrincess Actually you heard Earl Carpenter as Javert =p

  • @MajorNeirLex he was amazing!

  • gosh, ramin, stop being so beautiful!

  • thank god they got michael ball to sing, poor jonas, he isnt bad but he compared to the rest of the cast he doesnt have the theatrical talent. when he was walking on the stage he always looked lost

  • Marius got his balls back!

  • @hitch123456 LOL!!! So true!!!

  • @hitch123456

I PREFER NICK JONAS BUT I READ YOUR COMMENT AND CRACKED UP LAUGHING!

  • O M G ! ..... Michael Ball...

  • God I hope Nick Jonas was well and truely put in his place by this. YES Michael Ball!

Also, I love that Ramin still got to sing in this. Lovely man. om nom nom.

  • ONE MORE DAY ALL ON MY OWN!! :D xxx

" One More Day All On My Own, One More Day With Him Not Caring, What A Life I Might Have Known, But He Never Saw Me There....!!!!!!!!!!!!" :) x

" ONE MORE DAY ALL ON MY OWN!!!" "WHAT A LIFE I MIGHT HAVE KNOWN!!!" :) x :') x

  • COLM WILKINSON IS THE BEST VALJEAN EVER. HE'S SO AMAZING! I don't like either of these Eponines. The original one's so annoying. and I don't know why but something about Samantha Barks makes me just seep with jealousy haha which I know is awfull of me but SHE MET IDINA MENZEL!

  • Samantha Barks! :DD <33 xx I Know Her, Lovely Girl,Realyl Sweet. :) x My Dream Role Is Eponine. :) x <3. NICK JONAS! WOOP! My favorite Musical, ( Of ALLITIME) with myy 2 favourite people.. Nick J and Sam barks. :) X

  • Did someone take notice of Thenardier? Alun Armstrong had done much better in the 10th anniversary

  • @maestredemagia agree. Alun has the accent. matt lucas seems plain

  • the fangirl in me is crying tears of joy!

  • I hear they're making a musical movie version. Oh god I hope they get it right!! I wish the Dream Cast could play their roles in the movie.... too bad theyre too old. :(

  • When the other Javert sings is it Philip Quast?

  • @TwilightPanther No it is Earl Carpenter

  • Wait...was that Ramin Karimloo as Enjolras?!

  • @MadameChristie Yes. He was. Ramin Karimloo is Enjorlas.

  • @MadameChristie Yes! it was

  • @bluebelles255

That's awesome XD *cheers for Canadian homeboy*

  • I like Nick jonas, he's a good singer, but in his part in this song, his voice and power wasn't enough compared to the other professional singers. I think he was trying though! But, really nothing compared to Michael Ball.

  • @bluebelles255 - He just doesn't have the power behind his voice or the stage presence that the other actors have.

  • @bluebelles255 course not, hes 18. michael ball has had decades of experience. just wait another 20 years, nicks voice well have improved as well

  • @seherrocks

Very little chance his voice will improve much. Michael Ball was the original Marius and had a great voice then too.

  • 25 years later, they still have it!!!! MARVELOUS!!!

  • I can't stand Norman Lewis as Javert. he's the worst one. Bring back Philip Quast!

I didn't like Marius either, a shame they can't use Michael Ball. He IS Marius.

  • Here is my ultimate dream cast

    JVJ - Alfie Boe

    Javert - Norm Lewis

    Fantine/Eponine - Lea Salonga

    Marius - Michael Ball

    Enjoras - Ramin Karimloo

    Thenarsiers - Alun Armstrong/Jenny Galloway

  • @100kona Totally agree with you with this whole cast except for Fantine. I think Ruthie's the best Fantine even though I do love Lea's performances as her. Lea's probably my second favorite Fantine, but she's my ultimate favorite Eponine! :)

  • if only they did a duet of i dreamed a dream with lea salonga and the original fantine MISS PATTI LUPONE!!!! how awesome would that have been?!!!

  • @carys1985 what.

  • what?..............

  • I saw this broadcasting live at my local Cinema :) Lol. I had tickets for months. It was amazing but I bet it was even better being there.

  • @sunderlandgrl I can't think what it was like in the cinema- not like what it was when I was there because I saw the Matinee but it was AMAZING!

  • @Monkeyballmania Did you go to see Mamma Mia when it first opened in cinema's? It was a bit like that, the atmosphere I mean, people were singing along and even got up and clapped after every song and at the end like Americans do in cinemas which was really strange. Lol.

  • @sunderlandgrl I haven't seen any musical's in cinemas- the only musicals I've seen anyway are Joseph and Les Mis. Everyone singing along must've been fun- they didn't do that at the O2!

  • @Monkeyballmania They weren't singing along!? I would have been if I was there. I love Les Mis and I've memorized all the words. Lol. Bet the applause was loud though, in the cinema, we didn't really get the full atmosphere like it would have been in the O2.

  • @sunderlandgrl Well, a few people next to me sung slong and I did too but watch westendham's Master of the House from the O2. That was from the performance that I saw and you can hear that we're all having fun!

  • @sunderlandgrl I was there and I sung my heart out (: Everyone around was going mental and they put the lyrics up on the screen for do you hear the people sing! :D xx

  • I was lucky enough to be there and when they sung this i died

  • Wish the crowd would have let me hear the song.

  • All I see are comments about Michael Ball, but seriously, Colm Wilkinson blows me away whenever he hits those hold notes.

  • I am completely and utterly blown away. And jealous. ;)

  • SOOOOOO glad I went to this :)

  • Stop comparing Nick to Michael Ball. As my username shows I am a fan of Nick Jonas but am also a major fan of Micheal Ball. Leave them alonr. I agree Nick has a voice for this but he should choose. Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas and the Administration or West End/ Boradway1 Soz Nick. U can't do all this at once. well acctully u can. :P

  • GAAAH i don't care how old he is. Michael Ball will always be the most PERFECT Marius EVER. <33333

  • love how nick sung with such passion:)

  • that was special. Ive met Michael Ball and most of the UK tour cast including Martin Ball who plays Thenadier in the West End production. It was an electrifying night!

  • OMG OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

Michael Ball will always be my perfect Marius!! woohoo!

    ngl, I cried watching this.

  • Apologize to Michael Ball cause he had to listen to Nick Jonas trying to sing Marius LIFE!

  • Did anyone let out a squeel when the original cast started singing? I sure know that my sister and I did. This took a superb experience and made in ten-fold better.

To get to hear LIVE the cast that I grew up listening to on CD was enough to give me shivers :)

  • Ramin is such a good performer. I want him. Like right now. Oh, and Michael Ball was fantastic

  • @yellowsunflowers8 :D My sister, my friend Erin, and my self all heartly agree with you on Ramin. The minute he walked on stage, it was like Jonas who? (a big selling point here was that Nick Jonas was in it, though none of us cared)

He was fantastic. I'd be lying if I said mild stalking ventures were not in play last night ;)

  • i hear nick jonas and i think, wow! didn't know he had it in him, then the moment micheal ball opens his mouth im absolutely gobsmacked by his voice. i love me some colm wilkinson as well. my god do i love les miserables. i hope it last forever xx

  • COLM FTW

  • I love this play and book !

  • I think the girl who sang for Eponine lost it a bit on her main part. The rest however, was amazing. Being there was even more amazing.

  • I could just watch this over and over again, just like I could watch the whole of Les Miserables OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!! It is the Greatest Show on Earth!

  • oh thats strange - i wonder why Alun Armstrong wasn't there in the afternoon - he was in the evening! Still, this is amazing stuff right here. Goosebumps down to my very bones.

  • This just made me cry! I love Les Mis!!!

    Thanks for posting!!

  • Can you tell me who sings the lines of Javert please?

  • @danslarue Roger Allam. He has a beard and he's very hard to spot in this video.

  • @garyskirk He'd just finished playing Falstaff in Henry IV at the Globe that afternoon so he quickly had to get out of costume and make-up and pop over to the O2!

  • @NKHades007 Yep!

  • @danslarue Roger Allam

  • This was so amazing , all the emotions i had last night have come flooding back ..infact they hadn't gone AWSOME !!!

  • THE MOST EPIC THING EVER! I AM IN TEARS!

LES MISERABLES WILL STILL BE HERE WHEN TOMORROW COMES!!!

  • Fantastic Show, the best thing i've ever seen at the cinema. The 1985 cast coming on at the end was the icing on the cake...

  • Absolutely phenomenal!!! I was there last night. The collective sigh of relief when Michael Ball started singing, together with the definitive ValJean - Colm Wilkinson was AMAZING!!! What a fabulous birthday celebration for this amazing show. Thank you SO much for posting it. I have a poor copy of the 4 ValJean singing 'Bring Him Home' - but we were very high up, so it's not great - however I'm happy to upload if people would like to see it! :)

  • Oh my gosh....unbelievable....what I would have given to be there!!!!

  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this video. I cannot wait for the DVD! Lea Salonga said so herself on Facebook that there will be one!

  • @jinaia13 it's already available for pre-order via amazon etc. Release on DVD and Bluray 29th November.

  • @jinaia13 It's out at the end of November! :-)

  • @jinaia13 It's out on 29th November...you can pre-order it from Asda.com - only £7.40 (or something like that!) x

  • Michael Ball and Ramin karimloo on the same flipping stage!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Who was Javert?

  • Michael and Rebecca <3

  • The finale was the icing on a very wonderful cake! Thanks for posting - I don't suppose you've got the 4 Valjeans??

  • @ArmitageMacfadyen No sorry, I didn't think of recording any of it until this bit unfortunately but I did see lots of people recording it so I'm sure there will be lots of videos popping up. :)

  • @noeyedeerx - someone has, thanks for replying :)

  • Comment removed

  • All I hear is Michael Ball!!!

I don't care that he's technically too old to play Marius - he will always be the best!

  • @06s091 I TOTALLY agree with you!!!!! In the same way Colin Firth will ALWAYS be Mr Darcy, Michael will ALWAYS be Marius!!! :)

  • @06s091

Also try the Dutch cast; best singers are Freek Bartels, Jamai Loman en Rene van Kooten

search on: nog een dag uit les miserables nieuwe cast

  • @06s091 ...pooorrrr nick mustve shrivelled x

  • Was Ramin in the original london cast!? :o

    Lolzzz xD

What's up with the original Enjolras?

  • @TLKthing3 I'm wondering the same thing - that looked last minute, the way Ramin ran out

  • Where was David Burt?

And thank you so much for posting this!

  • Amazing!

  • all i hear is Michael Ball. He's PHENOMENAL!

  • Thank you for allowing me to relive this amazing night - I was near the front!

  • Likewise you absolutely ROCK for uploading this. Thank you so much, Michael Ball you are a musical theatre God and you give a singing lesson when it comes to the role of Marius.

  • You rock for uploading this. Truly.

  • Just .. Amazing
