Very inspiring Pablo, came back for a listening, top-notch playing man, around 1.57 you play a chromatic ascending lick that goes beautiful out of tonality, and use of big interval skips is quite remarkable, real nice composition by Victor Young, Greetings Vic.
Thank you for your very kind words, Victor. I like that thing at 1.57 too, also because it's a 3-beat pattern over the underlying 4/4. I do that quite a lot. In this solo, notice the 5/8 pattern at 1:14.
I'd like to post more, but I've been busy literally for 10-12 hours a day transcribing full scores of japanese "enka" songs from records for a show next June. Haven't touched the guitar for 2 weeks. Nice of you to drop by.
Man thanks I have that same problem,so much lesson material I have to look up and prepare for pupils that I can't play my own thing, sometimes frustrating and depressing, sometimes I wish I wasn't a musician earning a living with it,Greets Vic.
Acho q volta. As mãos têm vida própria.
Setembrino, a Andréia me disse que tua câmera pifou.
Alzheimer.
Excellent Pablo! I watched your videos and enjoyed your smooth, sensitive playing yet swinging. I join the many waiting for new videos of yours! Parabens e Abraco
Pablo, listening again.... Reference you playing blues.. I would say you could play just about anything you darn well pleased on that guitar of yours. There's a few 'famous' players who would do well to listen to your playing. They'd learn something, if they stopped to soak it in.. Regards
I think I could play the blues, given time and the right sort of guitar. But I've been trying to tag along while listening to Fendermac's videos and I know it's a long way before I can play the blues like it deserves the name.
And thank you for your kind words. I'm sure that well-known players see me here, and I must tell you that I always have my guitar on while watching other guitarists' videos, including yours. :) There's always a new twist to be learnt.
Thanks Pablo... The difference is, I can't get the twists you do. I could back you on this nicely I think (says he!) But I can't play the lead in 'finger-style'. This version my friend, I really do like! Bravo again.
You sure made a convincing arguement in favor of the more rapid pace! Fabulous. I see that
you have control and accuracy at any speed you want -- all without sacrificing the perfect tone you sustain throughout. Looking forward to more, more, more! ~Terry in SoFL
Thank you very much, Qpidon! Actually, I've been thinking about exactly that: getting a manager or an agent in Europe. But I want to start posting my own compositions to see if I can interest an agent. I'm still useless at that sort of thing.
Hi Pablo, my brother posted me your tune and have blown me away with your improvised tactics of tension, climax and release and great Jazzy sound as well, keep-up the good work and 5* it is, Saludos, John (Willemstad)
It's nice to have a friend with so many friends. And a brother too!
That was not really 100% improvised. It was more like a rehearsed improvisation. You can hear that the bass moves along with it, and I programmed it beforehand. But I did try to put in those elements you mention.
Yeah,John this guy is so modest but he's a fantastic guitarist, glad I've met him on the tube, and you heard the tension and release well, great note choice and theme harmonization. For me these are the Jazz-Cats on the Tube, knew you would love this. Greets Victor.
Jazzguts sent me over to listen. I like the accidental you throw in for that fifth note. Hey Pablo, I like it all. Martin Taylor should listen to you! You are an accomplished musician and you swing. Bravo. More...
Yes Pablo, you really did it this time man, superb chord-melody arrangement and fantastic solo to this wonderful Young composition, I'm speechless, true virtuoso here on the Tube,FANTASTIC, I'll send it around to my friends, this needs more recognition, greets 15 Stars,Victor.
Pablo a player like you,has to have a bigger audience, and if I can help I'll gladly do it,I know when a (hard working) player deserves that, greets to you my friend,Victor.
That is brilliant.
