i have to tell a funny story. last year my drama class was doing some scenes from alice and wonderland and i thought it would be a great tim burton film. then a few weeks later a heard that there would be a tim burton alice in wonderland movie with tim burton as the director and johnny depp as the mad hatter. just wanted to share that.

one is "ALICE IN THE WONDER LAND" and the OTHER one is "LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS AND WHAT ALICE SAW..." which is the 2nd book of lewis for the series.

all of the movies are based on the book. this one seems to be a mashup of alice in wonderland and the sequel, through the looking glass. so its like. gonna actually be terrible story wise. considering the red queen and the queen of hearts are not the same person, but he made them that. the movie istelf will be good, but i fear it will butcher the story more than the disney version.

Nothing will ever beat just reading the ORIGINAL books. Stay away from crappy edited versions. Read the original ones with the original drawings by John Tenniel. Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass, Lewis Carroll. Every movie joins the 2 books together, but they are so very different...it always annoys me. I'm looking forward to Tim Burtons version. It's not claiming to be the actual books (thankfully) cause no one has ever done a decent movie of Alice...so here's hoping.

I didnt know Rickman was in it too! I was just estatic when i found out that it was a Burton-Depp-Carter colaberation, and now with Rickman, this film is bound to be a huge success. It's the Sweeney Todd crew together again! I believe it's the same producer as Sweeney Todd too, if I'm not mistaken. Everything about this movie has the makings for a huge success. When Tim remakes a classic, he always does it great justice, and it comes out fabulous each time. If you cant tell i am really excited!

I'm reading Alice now, I got a book called "The Complete Works of Lewis C." I'm just where she goes all big in the bunny's maid's home though, so I haven't gotten to the dark parts yet.

Jonny Depp is going to do an amazing job in this, he always has in all of Tim B's other movies he has played in.

...2010....ooh, the wait just might kill me....When I think "I'll be 20 August of that year" I feel kind of old, being only 18, and it feels like a longer wait! LOL.

Okay real quick, The Red and White Queen are from Through the Looking Glass the second book of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. What Disney and Burton are doing is putting the books together to make one movie when in fact the two books only share Alice in common. Also Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumm were from Through the Looking Glass not Alice in Wonderland. Two books published under Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
