Wonder why they keep crashing their MD11s. 100 ft flare followed by a low speed hard landing way beyond the touch down zone have to lead to once in a while crash.

Pilots don't seem to consider very often the option of something called "GO AROUND" unless they don't see the runway after reaching minimums. Definitively Common sense is the least common of the senses.
