These concepts seem quite egotistical. Also, I don't feel as though people are supposed to be happy all the time. In fact, this idea is sort of a disease we have developed. "If you're not happy, there's something wrong with you." Maybe depression is just as important as happiness. If we are open to sadness, much can be learned. All this is second hand knowledge. Buddhism explains all this and more in much greater detail. You need not be a Buddhist to appreciate the teaching of this great master. Wisdom is the congruence with universal laws. Universal laws are. Man/god made laws are subject to change with time and interpretation.

yeah i heard of this in the Documentary "The Secret." Apparently, if you constantly think of something and imagine it is reality, your brainwaves will be sent out into the universe and the universe will change in respect to your thoughts. To be honest, i think that's some serious BS. The real idea is that if you constantly focus on something, your mind subconsciously takes actions towards your goals. In other words, in almost everything you do, you will subconsciously do what leads to your goal

To elaborate, when a lion eats a deer, a negative event is occuring because the deer is losing it's life, however a positive event is also occuring because the lion receives the necessary sustainance to survive. Due to the fact that the positive and negative cancel each other out, the event becomes neutral. This is fundamental to balance of all things and there place in the universe.
@MastaJ156 And life becomes better if you focus on the positive rather than the negative. As you said, because every negative thought has an opposing positive thought, one should NEVER have to think negatively. Instead, one should ALWAYS be able to think POSITIVELY :)
Interest subject. One thing I disagree with, is the concept of attracting only positivity into ones life. I don't believe this possible because if you look at the make up of the universe on a quantum mechanic scale, you find random chaos. Constantly, positive negative and neutral events occure on this scale and this too is reflected in nature, which is not joyfull and at peace all the time at all. Positive negative and neutral elements are fundamental to all existence.

yeah i heard of this in the Documentary "The Secret." Apparently, if you constantly think of something and imagine it is reality, your brainwaves will be sent out into the universe and the universe will change in respect to your thoughts. To be honest, i think that's some serious BS. The real idea is that if you constantly focus on something, your mind subconsciously takes actions towards your goals. In other words, in almost everything you do, you will subconsciously do what leads to your goal

Read the Acts of Paul and Thecla. Thecla is a beautiful young girl who followed the Apostle Paul. Thecla, by the power of positive thinking performed countless miracles and many times saved her own life. I also believe she mastered teleportation and was never seen again.

This is not beautiful as so many say. It is actually a load o bullshit. I'm not sure why people don't realise it when they see it. This crap reminds of that book called "The Secret". Instead of looking into complete garbage, why not attempt to expand your faculties by reading something useful like Immanuel Kant, "The Critique of Pure Reason". Case and point - if I am in -30C temperature and focus on the 'warmth' I should be able to strip down to my undies and still feel warm huh? Retard

To elaborate, when a lion eats a deer, a negative event is occuring because the deer is losing it's life, however a positive event is also occuring because the lion receives the necessary sustainance to survive. Due to the fact that the positive and negative cancel each other out, the event becomes neutral. This is fundamental to balance of all things and there place in the universe.

@MastaJ156 And life becomes better if you focus on the positive rather than the negative. As you said, because every negative thought has an opposing positive thought, one should NEVER have to think negatively. Instead, one should ALWAYS be able to think POSITIVELY :)

Interest subject. One thing I disagree with, is the concept of attracting only positivity into ones life. I don't believe this possible because if you look at the make up of the universe on a quantum mechanic scale, you find random chaos. Constantly, positive negative and neutral events occure on this scale and this too is reflected in nature, which is not joyfull and at peace all the time at all. Positive negative and neutral elements are fundamental to all existence.

So if we apply the law of relativity to the universe on a quantum mechanic scale, we will see that the random chaos only supports the structure of the universe by making it stronger like a disease that adapts to a cure ... not trying to argue just adding my perspective .. these are all great comments
