Exile flipped this sample so well on "It's Coming Down". Not saying it was better than how Blaze flipped it because they both use entirely different sections. Props to both producers.
I ( David Henderson-bass player) had the great experience to play behind Billy on the road as part of his band. I left a few months before his unfortunate accident. He was an awesome entertainer. I along with my fellow writers (David Scott, Warren Hagood II, and Sidney Pinchback), wrote this song especially for Billy.
@playmaker119 well i mean that'd be like comparing J. Cole to Just Blaze, which is no comparison at all.. J. Cole made a good beat for his style of rap.. and you can really cruise to it.. but Just Blaze made a hard beat
TSS, I'm disappointed that you neglected to include that this sample was 1st used also by J. Cole on "Get Away" off of the CLASSIC (Yeah I said it) "The Warm UP" mixtape.
How did Just Blaze DO that?

I was one of the writers but was not on the recording. I beleive the bass player was Louis Satterfield.

I discovered Billy Stewart's music very late. What an incredible voice and talent he had. I would have loved to see him live!
