See this could be a result in him dumping the clutch whilst slightly turning or leaning the bike , or on the other hand it may be a thing called tyre sheen - as you all probably know brand new bikes in show rooms have tyre sheen on them to make the bike more appealing to the buyer, so there for this could be the result in this crash. Whatever happened you'd still be pretty pissed off with yourself after that.

@ildsc I dont think he permanently de valued it. Yes, if he were to re sell after the drop he wouldnt get near the price he paid, but that sort of drop would yeild mainly cosmetic damages.

That type of bike has plastic extrusions to help reduce damage to body fairing, so most likely he had to replace those and his wing mirror, good as new :)

Well see, when you get a new bike, or just a new set of tires, on the tires there is a clear, waxy, film that makes the tire shine when you buy them, and if your not careful this is what will happen, so get some sand paper(soft grade) and just skin the service of the tires, and then you want have to worrie about so slippin while you ride,, ;D

Id say you should burnout when getting a new bike/tires....just to break em in. Im not a biker or anything, but if I was, thats what I would do.
