Hey I noticed something you disabled physx!!!!! its off in your configuration for if it is enabled it will add icicles on the door & on the hatch where you will notice the physx working by making ice fall effect.

Anyone having any questions about Cryostasis: Buy it. Seriously. The absolute best story even made. Mediocre gunplay, but the visuals and sound are both fantastic along with, again, the incredible story.

Well, it depends.

If you're into games like Crysis, with tons of enemoes, epic battles, fast tempo and woop-ass grafics. Then you'll hate this game.

If you like a slowpaced, but higly atmosferic, creepy, slow game, and don't really mind slightly dated graphic, then you'll love it.

I'm only going to say this once: This is NOTHING like BioShock. The only things that they have in common are that they're first-person and both have awesome stories. Cryostasis is pretty much a survival horror game, whereas BioShock is a full-on FPS.

And also, the opening cutscene has nothing to do with the game? That's a little presumptious, I should think, being as he's played all of 5 minutes...

Anyways, Cryostasis is awesome.

I really really wanna buy this game. I played the demo on my bro's comp and thought it was awesome.

I tried to play the demo on my pc and when I try to start up the game it just sits there for a sec and then exits out. Doesn't even start up. I've tried updating my drivers and everything and still nothing works.

Anyone else have this problem? I still wanna buy the game but I don't want to buy it if it won't work on my PC.

My computer runs it fine. I bought it off of Direct2Drive for 15 bucks since it was so cheap even tho the demo wouldn't even start up for some reason.

The full game starts but I have a new problem. It quits out if I try to go to the options menu. The game looks like it is on low quality settings right now and I want it on high settings. Can anyone copy their high settings from their config file and message them to me?

the offical developers website 1c forms (i think you might wanna goggle it) anyway an admin in the forum in touch with the dev team claims that a patch to make the game run on multi core cpu's is in development. least thats what they say i dunno if i beleive them myself we'll have to wait and see.

did you know they (the developers) are bringing out a new patch to adress the performance issues?. cryostasis as it is now doesnt support multi core cpus (both duo and quad cores) but with this new patch the game will work with multiple cores and hopefully performance overall will greatly improve! im looking forward to getting this the shops near me are selling it for 15 bucks new!
