yes any manual lens with a coresponding adapter and a manual aperture control does not need this "fake" aperture thingy. It´s because the canon EF´s does not have manual control for apreture. So go get some nice old nikkor, olympus or pentax glass for no money and a couple of adapter rings and you are all set ;)
If you use the Rokinon, you can just get a tube adapter as the Rokinon has aperture ring on lens correct?

You can get many nice SuperTakumar lenses with M42 mount or Zeiss and pentax with contax mount.
