  • hahaha - much funnier than the original

  • Isnt that exactly what blair did?

  • c'mon! be nice!

  • Ah David Cameron. You penis

  • very good anti argument was this made by the conservatives or is it self made

  • It takes sly digs at labour all the way through.

  • Hmm... Dave has some good ideas xD

  • all he does is say what people want to hear though...he does this 2 gain popularity of course and indeed most people have fallen 4 this

  • This video basically spells it out for us. He changes his 'colour' for who ever is listening at the time.

  • which was the point the labour party were making. lol

  • I believe it's called pragmatism.

  • Pragmatism is a non-agressive way. This shows constant sly digs.

  • Labour is about to introduce a law which will, quite literally, will legalise daylight robbery. A bill giving bailiffs the power to break into our homes and kicking in doors, received its second reading in Parliament yesterday. with labours tax and waste and roads fines for starting your car is it any surprise we in brits have outstanding debts!

  • There is nothing wrong with parties changing. However, the Tories have simply not changed. Now they're worse than Thatcherites: they're old, broken-down Thatcherites, who claim membership to the centre ground but will always be Victorian, right-wing neo-cons. A clever video, but this just highlights how foolish both Labour and Conservatives are being.

  • How exactly can you be a Victorian neo-con? Presumably you know neo-conservatism was born in the 60's and 70's among Trotskyist thinkers and I'm sure your well acquainted with the differences between conservatism and neo-conservatism - do your research before throwing out phrases you don't seem to understand. Rant over.

  • Fair enough-it was allways a pretty cheap shot. It's just a shame reality dosnt match the parody eh?

  • hahaha...deluded.

  • this video actualy seems fairly pro cameron haha

    so fuck u

  • Tories make me laugh. The minimum wage making them sick is the perfect example. Make no mistake, they're still the same old heartless plutocrats underneath.

  • propogannda fresh from a blue arsehole.

  • Whats wrong with people making money - are you another communist ? If Cameron was concerned about getting rich... why would he be an MP ?? and why do you think that politicians are in it to be self-serving ? I thought you said your Dad's mate was making money ?? - but you liked him didn't you ?? You seem so confused..

  • Cameron calls for his party to "stand up to big business", then flies out to India to open a factory for one of the Tory's billionaire funders. The point that I got from the first video was that Cameron gave the impression of changing his party, while in actuality he was not only not backing up these appearances, he was running directly against them. This isn't "labour spin" - I'm hardly more Labour than I am a Tory - these are clear inconsistencies within Cameron's own behaviour.

  • I don't think opening a factory is a bad thing ! If you watch the videos you will see that he also spent a lot of time doing other things such as meeting the Indian PM and understanding how the Indian economy is growing and what the impact will be on the UK.. personally I think thats a good thing for someone who aims to be PM to be doing..

  • More like to see how it owuld benefit him. H was opening a rich mans factory yay....see. Greedy Tory birds of a feather stick to greedy gether

  • Cameron purports to Green views - he is "in favour" of cutting emissions. It's easy to be in favour of something. However, in his first speech as Tory leader, he said that Britain needed a "concerted programme of road-building". Cameron has held special debates on disability issues, supporting disability rights campaigners, yet he voted against flexitime for parents of disabled children.

  • Perhaps its not a good idea to have thousands of vehicles of sitting in traffic jams burning fossil fuels ? Obviously the longer term answer is renewable energy but that is not going to take people off the roads. Again it seems you are looking for inconsistancy and finding what you want to find rather than really thinking about the issues.

  • the introducing flexitime was introduced and passed b4 the 2001 election, b4 Dave Cameron got into Parliament so how did he vote against it? Also attacking a man who himself has a disabled child is dispicable

  • Under the tories disabled children are thrown aside without any help from the state. It's only the rich, like cameron, who can cope.

  • Considering how he's had frontline exposure to the health service due to his son's illness, do you really think he'll be like that? Do you not think he'll have a better idea of the NHS because of how much contact he has had for it?

You label all Tories the same. You label the bad PM's with the greats like Churchill, Macmillan, Peel and such. That is why you fail.

  • The same week that Cameron did his "hug a hoodie" bit, he voted against extra funding for local youth centres (proposed, funnily enough, by labour), something that was designed to benefit the same children he supposedly championed, and would have had an infinitely greater positive effect than a hug.

Cameron clearly doesn't feel that he has to follow through on what he says. That was the point of the Labour party video. Some people seem to have missed it.

  • The point of the Revenge video was that the first video failed to make it's point - as has been acknowledged by the Labour party. It just served to underline Cameron's efforts to 'change' the party.. It is easy to take 2 points made by an politician and try and make them seem inconsistant but I think most people are just bored of this kind of sad Labour spin. Cameron made the point that there is no point in treating young people as thugs - you will just make them act like that..

  • Cameron made the point that young people shouldn't be treated as thugs. Yet when an opportunity arises to actually help young people, in a real rather than symbolic way, Cameron goes against it. You say that it is easy to make two points "seem" inconsistent - alright. Here are some more.

  • If you think that Cameron should support a plan that he doesn't agree with just to make a symbolic gesture in favour of something he is in favour of then I think you are missing the point.

  • The fact is Cameron says one thing then goes straight ahead and goes against the grain of it. As Alimacbaba has correctly pointed out.

  • Look as the original video illustrates, the Labour party are trying to paint a simplistic picture the for gullible. i.e. inevitably as the conservatives go thro a process of change an opportunity exists for Labour to highlight the difference between before and after and try and illustrate this as inconsistancy. But look beyond the spin and you will see the real story. Just chanting the Labour line without foundation just illustrates gullibility.

  • The video also evaded the criticism of Cameron's shifting opinions. It said that he was merely taking the best ideas from each side, regardless of "colour".

However, it failed to address the fact that Cameron is willing to lie blatantly about his beliefs. (cont. below)

  • I think that is a criticism you, like the most of the population should reserve for Blair rather than Cameron.

  • Something that I noticed was the voice speaking over this video. I can hardly comment - I'm middle class myself - but it didn't sound like the voice of a person who would know the real good done by the labour government, or the real damage done by the tories.

  • You can tell what people know by the sound of their voice - wow that's clever.

  • It's cute that some people here cannot simply comment on this very good video, and instead need to go on and on about their 'great' Labour party....John Prescott would be very proud of you. Time to vote Tory, ladies and gents.

  • Yes the video was great !!!! Seemed to upset a few 1970's stylee socialists !!

  • Erm....we are commenting on the video...

  • Yeah time to vote ory if you wanna see this country in RUINS. Like all i said above about 3 million unemployed whole hospitals and not just wards of the NHS closed, Racist support of the Aprehtied regime. Cuts to our forces. Im a aroyal marine i despise the Tories. HOW QUICKLY people forget how they screwed this country up.

  • Everyone knows that the ethos of Conservative Party has underlying elements of racism and homophobia, which is why most people aren't voting for them. The trouble is, their current leader doesn't seem to have any policies.

  • Read the polls!! - The only prejudiced person is the one making prejudiced statements about the Conservative party. Are you aware how many gay tory MPs there are ?

  • My MP is gay (Alan Duncan), so yes I'm well aware, and also very aware that he's a complete racist, as well as being a useless buffoon and a complete snob. The polls don't mean anything unless they're being studied on an election day. Yes, I believe everything should be controlled and funded by the state. No I am not a Tory and never will be. No I am not bumming off the state, I went straight from education into a full time job, which I would have struggled to do under a Tory government.

  • Ok that stuff about Alan Duncan is just unneccesary. Back to the miners - do you really advocate paying huge numbers of people more money to dig stuff out of the ground than the value of the stuff ? Surely you understand that just creates poverty it doesn't aleviate it.. or is your brand of socialism dedicated to the impoverishment of all ?

  • My brand of socialism is simply what it was created for - everything to be owned by the public. I'm not a communist! lol. Hows about you just carry on voting Tory and I'll carry on voting Labour?

  • You seem very confused. Centralised state control under the guise of 'public ownership' is communism. You may have bought the loony left demonisation of conservatives but you are having trouble selling it - just read the history if your were not around to remember and you will see that your arguments and ideas got left behind 30 years ago after being tried and failed. Good luck.

  • Well I wouldn't mind Davey Boy winning the next election, because I like the idea of after a couple of years in government I could be the next Mad Max and driving my V8 Interceptor through the nuclear wasteland that was Britain. Then maybe we could meet up to discuss politics through our gas masks?

  • Hee hee.. You are not familiar with Zac Goldsmith then.. Editor of the Ecologist and leading the Conservative policy group studying environment.. Uhoh I think we have found some basis of agreement. I would rather have every stretch of our coast line dotted with wind turbines than have any more Nuclear power until the technology is developed to the extent that we know how to make the waste safe.

  • Me too, I'm 1000% behind wind turbines, and solar technology. If Cameron puts his money where his mouth is on the environment then he's got my respect.

  • I think he may be prepared to put a lot of our money in that direction but only If Zac does his job properly and really gets the point across. I went to see 'An Inconvenient Truth' last week and had to travel 30 miles to see it with only 10-15 other people in a cinema that was showing it only once !! - I think the general agreement between the parties is killing the issue and no-one is getting educated. R

  • Thats pretty bad, I'm really keen on seeing it but will probably wait til it comes out on DVD. I wrote to David Miliband a few months ago stating that the issue of global warming shouldn't be seperated by party politics, as it affects us all.

  • Yes I thought like that until I saw the empty cinema and realised that the lack of difference of opinion is what is killing the debate, stopping the news media reporting the issues and therefore preventing the wider public from getting educated and motivated about the issues.

  • lol I just "read the polls" once again - I usually ignore them but they did indeed make my smile. Old Davey Boy is well and truly in the brown stuff isn't he?...

  • not 15 points ahead, its Mr Bean thats up a creek

  • its 22 points as of now

  • Why does Dave hate Minimum Wage?

  • Labour/Tory/Labour/Tory/Labour/Tory...

you're kidding yourself if you think there's any difference between them

  • Stinking tories, they will run the country back into the ground from which this Labour administration has lifited it after 18 years of tory govt.

  • You must be joking!!! Sceptered Isle to Sceptic Isle under this lying, lefty government.

  • Agreed! Labour were handed a gift in 1997 with a steady, growing economy, then took all the credit for it! Come on Tories, we need you (and the WASTED 1% Nat Ins rise) back

  • BULLSHIT. The NHS had not just wards but whole hospitals closed under the Tories they supported the racist apartheid regime, 3 million un-employed, 15% interest rates, record property reposessions, closure of small businesses and established ones, wanting to privatise transport, ga, electric etc, they took an axe to our armed forces (im a Royal Marine) and sent a dishevelled force to the falklands a war that was totally avoidable by simply leaving HMS Endurance in Falklands waters.

  • Hmm - aren't you describing the problems that were solved by the Tory govt ? i.e. mass unemployment and widespread business failures were a consequence of the previous Labour years of high spending and economic mismanagement..problems that were solved by the Conservatives I don't think there is any debate on this point is there ? Shame on the Labour party for causing the same old problems again.

  • What about the 3 million plus that Thatcher, Howard, and Heseltine put out of work between them? Or do you not care about them because they were just "dirty working-class coal miners and steel workers with grubby hands"? This country will probably never recover from what the Tories did to it in the 80's.

  • Are you seriously arguing that the taxpayer should be subsidising loss making industries ? They were ineffecient and uncompetitive nationalised industries - everyone knows that surely. In the 80's the tory govt privatised thus forcing businesses to operate competitively - yes it was a bitter pill to swallow and it was a rocky ride but ultimately the tough choices meant that the UK moved from being the 'Sick Man of Europe' to being the healthiest economy in Europe..

  • They were industries that had thrived for generations until Thatcher got her filthy Tory mitts on them and fucked them up into oblivion. I can't believe so many people are still in denial about the Tory 80's. Nothing should be privatised - look at how privatisation fucked up the railways and the water companies. In an ideal Britain the state would control everything. Tell me i'm wrong for as long as you like, the fact of the matter is thus - i'm not.

  • That simply is not the case - we had been mining our island for longer than anyone else (industrial rev) and so it got progressively more costly and inefficient to continue - just like any natural resource. Do you seriously beleive MT just wanted to put people out of work for fun ?

  • If that's the best you can do I feel sorry for you. Don't talk to me like I'm some idiot - I bet you're a teacher, they're keen on doing that. Then again, you lack the accuracy to be a teacher. Maggie put the coal and steel workers out of their jobs because it was cheaper for her government to buy coal and steel from abroad. Where's the justice in that? The amount of peoples lives were that were ruined.

  • I'm not a teacher and please don't just keep trying to insult me - just debate the issue if you can. I suggest you do some reading on these subjects - no-one suggests that Thatcher got everything right but just making accusations with a chip on your shoulder is senseless.

  • "Debate the issuee if you can"? Now who's insulting who? At the end of the day, I don't agree with right wing politics and I never wil because they don't make sense to me, so I think the Conservative Party should be left in the history books, along with slavery, capital punishment, and the Nazis.

  • Sorry I don't mean to be insulting - I was just observing that you seemed to be struggling to debate the issues - All the things you object to above were all got rid of by Conservatives - I think you're just a confused tory really.

  • Do you really believe the state should control you, me and everything ? - You want this country to be like Korea or Cuba then ? (Would have said China or Russia - but as we know state control failed there didn't it).

  • Yes, I believe everything should be funded by the state, and no I don't want the state to turn into Korea or Cuba, which would not happen anyway, what a weak and pointless argument. Open your mind and broaden your horizons.

  • More insults rather than reasoned argument. Why exactly would it be different in Britain exactly ? - I notice you are now changing your argument to everything 'funded' rather 'controlled' by the state. Are you just bumming off the state - is that why you think it acceptable to argue that its ok ?

  • The tories took a hatchett to the Armed forces in the 80' and 90's i should know my father was a Royal Marines Commando as i myself am now. H esaid when he was in the Falklands cos of that (in his words) evil BITCH Thatcher they had to sling together a tatty force to send to the Falklands. A war that she could have avoided by simply leaving HMS Endurance in flaklands waters. She did it for her own motives. EVIL WOMAN.

  • Can't really argue the military thing with you as I don't know much about it - but are you saying Thatcher deliberately enticed an invasion by moving this ship - do you have any sources for data on this ?

  • Did you never see the interview on tv where and ordinary woman had Thatcher squirming and shifting in her seat simple by saying "why did you remove HMS Endurance from Falklands waters when you were warned that doing so is inviting aregentinian invasion" Thatcher was stammering like a buffoon as she knew she'd been caught out. It was all for her own image. like i said. EVIL woman for an EVIL party.

  • No never saw it but interested if you have more info.. but I have to say that what you describe doesn't sound like proof or even evidence of your assertion - just sounds like you are attaching MT's discomfort at being attacked to some supposed guilt for a your alleged crime - bit flimsy init ?

  • Tories didnt SOLVE those problems when John Major left office this country was still in a mess. People were not thriving they were struggling. My dad had to standby and watch as the called for closure of a friend of his business which was VERY SUCCESSFULY making good money. They are liars, cheats and will destroy this country. one word that sums them up wonderfully = SCUM

  • Er actually they did solve these problems - unemployment, business failures, interest rates and property reposessions were all solved - and when Labour stuck with Tory spending plans everything stayed good. Trouble is now Gordon has gone mad with spending the torys will have to clear up the mess in the next govt and no doubt will get unfairly blamed for the mess again.

  • I'm worried that the current Labour govt is equipping you with a gun - you sound completely mad. I think you are crazy if you think a govt is responsible for closing a succesfull business.

  • Its a fact that during the last Tory reign there were massive closures of businesses both small and large established. Or do you care to tell my fathers friend that they didnt? Record property reposessions.FACT. And inflation at 15%. Yeah good advertisment for how not to run the country.

  • I don't think anyone denies that there was big change during the Thatcher years - but remember there were also record numbers of new businesses created and Britain ended the Conservative years in the 1990's a much, much better country than it was in 1979 by any sensible measure.

  • Yeah new businesses to favour the rich. Dont treat me as if im naive as to believe Tories are for anyone other than those rich enough to afford their kind will. The average and poorer people will truly truly SUFFER unbelieveably if this country lets that selfish lying idiot cameron in. If they do a good advertisment for the uk will be "Britain...twinned with Etheopia.

  • What are you on about ? I don't think you are niave - just a bit prejudiced and one of that thankfully diminishing group of people who think that some kind of eutopia (not ethiopia) can be acheived by banishing the profit motive and consigning the masses to poverty.. If you feel alienated by wealthy people it's probably that they just detect your prejudice and find it rather sad.

  • I'm a lifelong labour voter but that was VERY good. And Labours "Dave the Chameleon" thingy was truly awful. David Cameron is gifted. We've got some serious opposition - oooer!

  • Fantastic!
