Since I didn't read the drop down box of lovely information, I was watching 7 minutes of this movie and having absolutely no idea what the hell was going on. Deciding it was either a) badly filmed or b) I seriously overestimate my ear at accents.

It makes much more sense now that I've watched the whole 19 minutes of it :)

I think if you know what to look for in a smoker, you can tell he isn't smoking for real. But that's mostly because, 1: the cigarette never gets shorter, and 2: he never exhales any smoke. But the rest of his acting like a smoker is pretty good lol

Ok then thought I'd post this up to clear up some things for you all!

1: Colin was not a smoker and it was funny as hell when they were shooting!!

2: The video was made for a graphic design company as a publicity dvd...this was made when the office had come out in the uk. The characters are all based on real people in the company and it was to take the piss out of themselves.

3: Colin was still a student then studying at the local uni doing his 1st year of a drama course.

4: He's a nice guy!

Totally agree, I have met Colin personally he's such a handsome and nice guy. He has actually smoked in real life but he said very lightly due to the fact that he was going to be working on Merlin so he quit.

You can so tell he is not a legitimate smoker. I do not smoke myself, but I live around smokers and the time it takes for him to inhale then exhale is too quick. Majority of smokers keep the smoke in their bodies for a longer period. I may be mistaken, but I am quite sure I am right.

No defo not lol! It is really complicated but VERY basically British people started moving to Ireland (waaay back in history) and then over time British government began to rule Ireland. Obvs some people, mainly the natives, were angered by this and wanted Home Rule (independant government). Hence years of arguing etc. Finally they got Home Rule from Dublin but NI would remain part of the UK. It is WAY more complicated than that but essentially that's how it happened lol. Hope it made sense!

Gud stuff! :D Awful stuff happened after that but that's a diff story lol! Northern Irish people aren't British though. If you look at a UK passport and the intro to the UK at the Olympics it says "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". But that's such a long title that people shorten it to UK or Britain which is why there's the assumption that NI is part of Britain.

It /very/ much depends. 30 years ago it would've been /safer/ to say "Northern Irish" or not answer at all lol. But it really does depend on your beliefs. Personally I don't think it matters, if people ask me "what nationality are you" I just say "I'm from Northern Ireland" gets rid of all that crap about 'whose side are you on' type thing. The way I see it things are the way they are and they're unlikely to change. But to be fair things r a lot better now and the majority just want peace. x

Lol there was 20 or so years of terrorist attacks over it but tbh there was a lot more to it. Anyway it's over now. It's rather nice over here now (despite the weather and the lack of Colin Morgan most of the year). There was a really nice story about an attempted attack spring last year actually, these two guys ambushed this postman (apparently to hold him hostage and something) and these two women saw it and stood up to them and then the crowd grew and the two guys just walked off. So class!
