  • Yeah very nice...

Is it me, or Dave is almost doing the same thing over and over...??

  • Awesome performace, dude! You have a "toy" with incredible sound.

  • weckl*

  • yeah man! sweet playin, i love weck stuff, one of my favorite musician for all time. i guess frank also on on this track kickin all butts. thanks, just checkin td around.

  • you look more like a slipknot-person ----- and you proved me that i should never judge a book by it's cover.. :)

  • Great job and great style!!!

  • It isn´t worth 7000$..... Check out the 2box Drumit five..(3500$) featuring triple zone cymbals, mesh-heads, 4GB internal memory, alternating sample, 128 layers of samples, dual trigger pads.....

    CHECK OUT THIS VID

  • Great Job and the Drums sound Awesome if you dont have and endorsment you should get one

  • sweet funk... nicely done dude

  • the snare has a position Ctrl which you can turn off or on.

  • Snare drum must be hit at the center of the head

  • Great feel and rhythm, but nobody can emulate the energy, phrasing and emotion of Weckl.

  • what a crap intro

  • Great drumming and terrific sounds. I like that you can use the rims and get the sound of rims. Should mention how cool it is that you have three camera angles and switch between them all and keep the video in sync, which seems to be hit and miss on youtube. Nice work overall.

  • after an infected mushroom's intro I do not want to listen to your drumming man hahaha good playing anyways keep it up

  • hell yeah man, great tune, perfect cover song! Dave weckl is a legendary drummer, put some more up!

  • how much is this drum set ??

  • Great Job man!!!

  • nice drumming, but sounds like porn music. I think Dave Weckl may have seriously gotten some contracts going back in the 80s in regards to selling his music on porn.

  • HOw do you feel about traditional grip?

  • INFECTED MUSHROOM INTRO! cool!

  • Nice smooth technique and tight playing man, well done. Love weckl's play alongs.

  • I love my V-drums. I use them for my rush tribute band.

  • nortes ? hahaha you cheating faggot hahah

  • that was perfect man good job it was very clean

  • 4000$

  • i have a v-kit its pretty cool

  • Man, you groove really well. I can tell you feel it.

Is there a reason why you play the drums so close to the edges?

  • I love the fact it has a drum line kit in there. How can I tune my dm5 to sound like one?

  • i'm so jealous that you have them drums... I soo want them =,-(

  • @aimanbaghiani In my opinion, DON"T waste your money. Once you start having triggers go out, it IS EXPENSIVE!!!. Plus they are cold, there is nothing like playing a real acoustic set. They don't give you the feedback like a REAL set does.

  • Puta timbre em!!

o da batera é muito fiel!!

    legal!!

  • Show off!!!!

  • FUCK!!!!!! Give me those drums!!!!! I don't have the money for it so GIVE IT TO ME!

  • camera angles were a nice touch, well played.

  • Nice Played, anyway what is that on your right? right next to floor drum?

  • Nice groove

  • I play in a Praise & Worship band and our church is looking at the Roland TD-20 to own. Thank you for the demonstration. Well played. I think we're sold.

  • i played my TD-6 in a church band, you are going to need alot of amps and subs to be heard over the other musicians, depending how large the room is, i had 2 guitars, bass, keys and vocals, lots of sounds from the band, check out the roland amps and subwoofers

  • TD12 is also another very good option for church band

  • nice playing man! great job!

  • are you trying to like like dave weckle himself with that shirt???????,...........,jajajajajajajaja

  • awesome!

    and Roland TD-20's are AMAZING!!!

    :D

  • woow !! super kit and good played ;)

  • Hey man, nice groove!!!!

I´m just starting with drum (1 year ago) and it´s nice to hear good ones!!!!

I have a Roland Td3, but I´m improving it with some cool stuff.

Please check my video and give me some ideas.

  • Nice snareeee man... =) ...

  • Yeah Groove!!!

  • I have a TD-20 and now they want to charge me £250 for an upgrade. Robbin shits. why charge so much. I have listened to all the vids on this kit but when you buy it it sounds nothing like what the pros sound like. Why because you either hear it played back via output socket to cam corder or through a great big system with multi mixing desk with an engineer. Try playing this kit live with the drum module PM30. It really does not sound that good.

  • Great Drums But Does Anyone Actually Listen To This Elevator Music Shite?

  • Shows how much musical knowledge you have. Weckl is phenomenal as well as Kennedy from Yellowjackets. This guys got some great taste and some awesome grooves.

  • Ooooh! You really showed me!! You Fuckin Douche!! This is elevator wank shopping music that no-one who was actually in love with music would waste a second of their time listening to kay? This wank, satriani, steve vai, all to do with athletism and macho-ness and nothing to do with music Kay? This is music for reading and playing not listening to kay? You you get me now you cretin?

  • How old are you anyways? Does your mommy know you're on her computer insulting knowledgeable adults? Now now... If you were here in my front yard, I'd have to smack the shit outta your rude ass! Go home now little boy

  • Don't Insult gadge1275 he was only giving his true opinion on the td-20!! Haw.Haw.

  • zukev1 is right! You really dont know what you are talking about. I would go back to school if I were you.

  • dude... chill the fuck out. You can't argue taste. This is good music. Sos alot of other stuff out there. Get over yourself

  • dude...where's my brain?

  • I dont think that there is such thing

  • what have you got to say for yourself you fuckhead?

  • I'm already saving up for this kit and this video helped seal the deal. It proves that with the proper EQ you can make the electric drums sound just as good, if not better, than most acoustic kits. He still maintains all the control on the snare, ride, crashes and everything. There's still tons of dynamics and every little thing you do is picked up by the pads so you can build up rolls, etc. so well. I love it. Great video. You should work for Roland.

  • I agree with you , this video helps a lot ... the mix is just perfect , like a studio drum kit, it is just amazing.... but nothing compares the power that you get with an acoustic drum kit ( and for the price of the TD20 you can get a top series drum kit in every brand)

  • very nicely done!!!

  • I wish I had such a kit at home :( Nice playing btw

  • Niiiiiiiice!

Love this shiznit! I've been swithering what synth kit to try save up for and it's looking more like being Roland every other day now!

  • Can't get any better kit than the Roland TD-20s you won't regret it.

  • Great playing. thanks for this

  • really good feel great video i've seen some people do decent weckl covers on youtube this is definitely one of the best ones out there

  • hehehe, I thought you would play over the infected song ^^

  • Most other V kits, i dont know why, but when i see people play them, you just look at the kit, cuz somehow, it doesnt always fit in. but on the TD 20 you look at the playing more, because the kit just fits in so well with what your hearing. Your playing is fabulous bud.

  • I freaking love this song. You got the groove man.

  • ok thanks alot, nice playing!

  • how did you take the original drums out of the song?

  • It's actually a track without a drums. You can get Dave Weckl's book with all the tracks and notation from his "Rhythm of the Soul" album! It's called "In Session With Dave Weckl Band". Just check the internet, o go to your local music store!

  • Nice!

I just ordered it Thanks man

  • @jazzrena keep up the great work man! impressive drumming :)

  • @begood808 Where do you live ...on the moon????? 12 years ago was made this play along nook+cd method...for drummers (without drums), for bassists (without bass) and for keyboard players (without keyboard)

  • Comment removed

  • Great job! How did you take the Original drums out? or is this a midi file?

  • Very nice playing! Cool!

    peace.

  • excellent playing; kit sounds great. big fan of weckl also...what are your thoughts on the new V pro tour td-9 kit out there???

  • fuck off Atedaze8.

  • Nice playing!! You got the feel and groove of the song. ;) *claps*

  • BRA!Du är nästan lika duktig som jag och dessutom har jag en snyggare tatuering.5+

  • hey man. fantastic groove. what setting is your sound module set too? is it a custom kit because i dig the snare sound.

  • Thanks a lot! For this song I used Groover kit (I think it's 16 on the brain). It's quite tight and nice sounding kit. Also you get x-hat on second tom, which I like to use a lot!

  • ...la cosa piu bella di questo brano è l'entrata e tu non me la fai??!!....ma vaaahhhh

  • Nice job bro, you have great feel and I love this song.

However, if you can, add some prescence to the bass drum, or make it a little louder in future videos.

  • Thanks very much mate! Appreciate that. I will take a note of this in future recordings. It was my first of this kind and I wasn't very happy with TD-20 sound when it outputed to mixer (in my headphones it wasn't very bad, to be honest). Hopefully it'll be better next time. But thanks again for the comment!

  • Yeah no problem bro.

I really dig the sound of TD-20s, if I were more of a drummer I'd save up for a set..

  • Wow!..great groovin' mate.

I just wish those td20's were more affordable becouse boy they are so much fun (i had td12)and u can learn stuff very very fast..oh well thats life.

  • very good grooving, congratulations, please look also my demo-test. ciao

  • excellent playing. thanks

  • Very nice. Amazing how 4/4 can sound so complicated!

  • great job!!

    lol, it sounds like

    somthing strait outta

    starsky and hutch!!=]=]

  • Buenisimo video!

  • Great work and very Nice Groove, 4 stars!!! but i think Acuistic drum own

  • excellent

    very tasty and soulful

  • I don't know if you have used the TD-3, but are the drum heads on that kit similar to the mesh snare on the TD-3, or are they a different material? I have a TD-3 and I hate the mesh snare.

  • I haven't tried TD-3 mesh snare. But I think the material is the same like on mine, just the thing, that it's smaller. And that means tighter head! That's why you probably didn't liked it. Mine is 12' and it's really comfortable I have to say. Bigger diameter means, that mesh head can breath more freely and it's not that tight! I had Roland TD-12 before though, and can tell you, that I didn't really liked them mesh heads as well! I changed that kit after month of playing. Hope it helps.

  • nice groove man!

  • Nice groove. Really! That's an easy tempo to rush... and you grooved the whole way. Great job play Weckl's part also... not as easy as it sounds.

Would be cool to see another 'take' of you playing your own arrangement. Would be nice to hear more of your style. Something to consider.

    Keep up the great work!

  • very good job man!!! nobody have ticpoy at the 100 por 100!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the tune. Great work mate! We have the same kit at work and I can see ours needs a bit of setting up just by watching you vid. ;)

  • Maybe a stupid question. Does anyone know if you can swap Yamaha DTXtreme pads for Roland mesh pads?

  • is that "heavyweight" by IM I hear in your intro clip?

  • excellent playing btw ;) 5/5

  • hey thanks for the info...

    and great playing

  • how much space does a standard roland td 20 take

  • Well... It's almost the same space as acoustic drumkit. Just the bass drum is not that big. But the rack is quite big! So if you really tight on space, you might consider TD-12 instead. I had it before TD-20, and can say, that that one is more compact.

  • love that snare sound...amazing... great video and plying btw

  • Hey. Killer cover. Very groovin'. Almost as good as THE MAN himself!

But I'm curious. Where did you get the musical accompaniment track from? All that music to play along with but no drums...??? I'd love to score those tracks to practice along with myself.

    Thanks.

  • yes man!! good job! and good play! you are a good drummer! hi by swiss¨!

  • could you tell me which program do you use for editing?

  • If you're asking about video editing, so I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. And for audio editing I used Cakewalk Sonar 7 Producer Edition.

  • i love the intro of your videos dude

  • Thank you guys, really appreciate that!

  • best cover i´v seen dude! congrats! u really nailed it!

  • Way too goovy, awesome job!

And what a sound from the TD20.. Just fenomenal.

    Mikey
