  • Bob was a true rock star and a brilliant composer in his genre..great to see him again. I still love Walk the Stranger and Covering Pressure!...too sad about the drugs and mental illness.. ........and Melissa rockin' the keys ! :)

  • Is this the same Sylum that sang "Mirror Images" and "Class Visual Freaks"? I live in the US and the last time I was in Canada(Smith Falls)I was in Zellers, 1992, and saw this tape. I bought it, based on the cover, and loved it. Such an absolute shame that USA doesn't pick up more on Canadian music.

  • Great to see Sylum again after so many years. Always loved what Bob was doing. It truly is sad that when his time came to break he didn't get the support or guidance he needed to share with the world what we all loved about him. He used to call himself a level 9 Alien - us normals were far less. Miss the witty banter LOL. In today's wireless world he'd be able to get his music out there, so anyone who has clips post them plz. He'd love it!!

RIP Bob - good times were had by all.

  • Does anyone know what happened to the video Much music produced for Sylum in 1985? I have searched everywhere, if you have any clue please respond. Thanks. The song was I'm impressed

  • Yeah, Bob would talk very fondly of his Waterloo "Claw" days.

    Cheers.

    I'll post some more soon.

  • Wow, nice to see some of this old history, Bob Sylum better known as Bob Walsh, first started playing in a band called Claw in Waterloo, Ontario in 1970. At this time he was just starting to learn how to play bass. Check out some members he used to play with from that time on YouTube "Heinz Peper Band" Thanks for posting this charm.

  • Any more footage??? Love and miss you all !!!

  • Wow; never thought the smirking Boffster would appear here. Sylum has been such a guarded secret for so long. I guess since Liz wrote her book and Anvil is hot, must be time to break out 'I'm Impressed'. Never did get to see if that poet dude from the Exit post-apocalyptic cabaret made it into the video...

  • Jennifer, Actually Tim was the drummer. The interesting fellow singing in this video was Bob Welch. I knew him quite quite well in his Sylum heyday. Did you know he was an avid tennis player? Sadly, Bob took his own life many years ago, but I will never forget those Sylum shows. What ever became of "Misty Morning", the female keyboard player wrapped in plastic strech wrap?

  • @EASYRYDER56 Huh? Tim played guitar, the band was named after the singer Bobby Sylum. The rest sounds accurate............I'll never forget seeing Misty Morning stripping at Cheaters, I was like "I know her from somewhere"

  • Man,I followed Sylum to every club in Toronto, they were maybe my fave band. When the album came out I was so pissed, few songs I even recognised or liked.I've been searching for Sylum on here since joining utube.

  • Wowee wow wow....

  • Would that be Tim Welch?

  • Yep

  • hey Tim-long time...how are you?
