I like how he finds what he calls "the music of today" in the street, but what he says at the end about pure expression of heart and not technique is pretty hypocritical.. His work is clearly very much based on a traditional framework for tonality, common chord progressions, melodies.. And how were these people supposed to express their own individual feelings? It would be chaos, which it isn't. It's neat and organized, logical and somewhat technical.
It is a deep and potentially very profound. Individuality and self expression fueling the universal language of the heart, of the world, of music. It is a very cool thing. Thank You Tan Dun for this very beautiful piece.

One day after school, A kid named Dustin Paulo was walking home from school. He got picked on by people beaCUSE HE WAS fat. One of his classmates Kevin Bourne Stabbed 13 times in the shoulder. He died right away. He told the cops that a man attacked them. They belived it. The kid who killed him was taking a shower one day and he felt a hand on his shoulder. He Screamed and his mother went up and found nothing there but peices of hair. A rumor started about Not posting this 5 times in one hour
