@MiXtApEMesSiAh22 thanks, it's a Squier "vintage modifed" jazz bass. both of the pickups sure are there, but the bridge one gets out of frame a lot.

I tuned to drop D then every string up a quarter step.

Must have been recorded on faulty tape machines. Live, they tune to 440. If it were me, I'd use a capo to raise the pitch to drop Eb.
