still an amazing film but not to sure if it shows McEwan's fragmented narrative structure in terms of chronology.

i think it's that part right before he actually dies. and he's in that dream part. and we find out what she said to him when she ran out to him when he was getting arrested. i THINK that's it..... but i could be wrong

'I love you... come back to me' is when he is being arrested. Before he has to go to war after Briony tells on him.

I was surprised that so many people like this movie. I thought it was poorly written, the whole story hinged on Briony's testimony and she would not have had such influence in real life, and then, it looks like Cecilia and Robbie are going to be together, and then, bleah, that turns out to be a fantasy by a now elderly Briony.

The book was even worse. It's page after tedious page about what Briony is feeling and precious little dialogue. I thought it was so boring.
