Even today, the Casio CZ series is still one (and unarguably the first) of the top digital synthesizers that come close to mimicking analog synths. The only drawback is that there is no resonance filter sweep controller wheel or slider. However, there are a couple of solutions. A relatively easy one is to add an effects unit which has a patch for that. Another one (for experienced CZ sound programmers) is to program velocity sensitive sounds and strike the keys accordingly when playing.
