@TokyoAkiHara Your right it does seem like a suitable ending for the series but for me when I watch a series I don't want it to end. much like in "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" Kyon complains about how annoying haruhi is but as he explains to himself near the end of the film he says he enjoys it and wants every day to be like a day at the SOS Brigade. so when i watched the second series I was confused on to what was happening but i enjoyed watching the episodes. i'm a bit of a fanboy :P

Unfortunately, this is the ending, but the Japanese version. DVD's ending is when Kyon tried to get the heater.

I love this order much better than that other ending. Ugh...the other ending was just too open ended for me. This ending made a LOT of sense. Isn't it supposed to be The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi, next?

Scream is right. Here's the spiel for those who won't look it up:

TMoHS has two episode orders, as Tokyo and Scream already said; one being Haruhi, the broadcast, and the other being Kyon, chronologically.

This is the last ep in Haruhi's order, but ep 9 in Kyon's. And for lankykinghasreturned, this was the last ep; there is still no official "second season" as of yet.

This is also my preferred ending =) they wanted the series to end it here, like the last page or a bookmark.

As i watch this again, i prefer this as an ending. Episode '13' in Kyon's order was quite slow moving as an episode, let alone the 'last' episode of that order.

This was definitely one of my favourite episodes in the series, so much action in it, and the kiss made me so happy! Definitely a great episode to end the series instead of the other way around.

There are 2, YES 'TWO', last episode counts. One in broadcast order and one in Haruhi's order and a DVD order of episodes (the DVD's last is the same is Haruhi's).

To make it simple this is the last episode that was aired on TV, while the 'last ep' your talking about was acted as Ep.9.
