I don't agree with Griffin but this was the longest I have heard him speak. I was supprised at how thought out his positions are and I can see why he thinks what he thinks (I disagree but can see the logic). I also think he has read Moore's Utopia after hearing the section on crime and punishment.

Agree with him on Islam but the idea of British isolationism would never work and would do more harm than good and would almost certainly damage relations with other countries ultimately leading to war. He has some good ideas yet is also so close minded on others. Hanging is stupid, life imprisonment is a much better punishment as prisoners spend the whole of their life knowing that eventually they will die and they will live in prison until that day.

@LeKtiCJ It could go either way and although I don't agree with isolationism I doubt it will lead to war. For example, North Korea is perhaps the most isolationist country ever to exist yet it has been in no major conflict since the Korean War.

@Malusregnum I get what you mean, it depends whether the punishment is exactly that, a punishment, and lifetime imprisonment is a much worse punishment than hanging, or whether its to remove the threat to society which hanging solves completely, I feel lifetime imprisonment is the best "compromise" it's worse for the individual (although prison's a bit cushy, needs more rape ;) ) however it doesn't completely guarantee safety to society but how many escape? Almost none I'd imagine.

The problem with Griffin is that he always faces a barrage of abuse/bias that he is made to look like he is attacked. The best way to deal with him is to just let him talk and put reasonable, telling questions to him objectively - those will weed out the rather unpleasant elements of his policies. Agree with him on Islam but the idea of British isolationism would never work and would do more harm than good and would almost certainly damage relations with other countries ultimately leading to war. He has some good ideas yet is also so close minded on others. Hanging is stupid, life imprisonment is a much better punishment as prisoners spend the whole of their life knowing that eventually they will die and they will live in prison until that day.

@Malusregnum I get what you mean, it depends whether the punishment is exactly that, a punishment, and lifetime imprisonment is a much worse punishment than hanging, or whether its to remove the threat to society which hanging solves completely, I feel lifetime imprisonment is the best "compromise" it's worse for the individual (although prison's a bit cushy, needs more rape ;) ) however it doesn't completely guarantee safety to society but how many escape? Almost none I'd imagine.

The problem with Griffin is that he always faces a barrage of abuse/bias that he is made to look like he is attacked. The best way to deal with him is to just let him talk and put reasonable, telling questions to him objectively - those will weed out the rather unpleasant elements of his policies. But, just like every other area of society, there are extremists. Christian extremists, Jewish extremists... it's not just the Muslim faith that has extremists. The issue with religion is that everyone has a different perspective on it, and so you get some worshippers who take thinks more literally etc.

I think he handled that well. So long as he keeps to these policies PRECISELY, and doesn't become radicalist and fascist to an evil extent, I'm fine with it. I believe this would do the country more good than that ridiculous joint government or certainly labour ever could. However, i believe there should be a more neutral party than this. Become less apparently radical and unpopular, I'm all for the BNP.

I hate this bigot, but as much as i hate to say it, he is right about respecting womens rights and his hate of the Qu'ran, although I feel his motives for it are wrong, as he is openly racist. True, the bible has passages that oppress women, but in the western world that is not applied. In muslim communities it is openly and freely applied. That is the difference.
