So adorable. I think people who interpret dog howls as pain are well intentioned, but are anthropomorphising howls as cries of pain. Border terriers so SO cute.

My Border Terrier does this if we play the recorder or a harmonica. He also does it when he hears a police car siren,ambulance or fire engine siren. I have two Border Terriers and they both do it.

Its in the breed. Apparently they were bred for running with the pack and copy the howl from the hounds. heres mine, (jack) hes really rather talented! :)

That was actually some good singing I heard there, especially the beginning. I used to sing this song and those high notes are more difficult to sustain than people think. Definitely some talent there. The human wasn't too bad either but could do with some coaching.

I had a border terrier :) but he passed away a year ago. he was called Corrie and used to sing along with me too :)

Loved this little singer. I rescued a dog who looks like Badger but is lighter in color (Lucy). Never heard of a Border terrier until recently. He is adorable.

this video made me laugh so much. i love the squeaky sound he makes! how old is he? my border also sings, she has abit more confidence than badger and everytime i practice my piano you can't shut her up she's such a show off! do you know what it is that makes them do it and if they do actually like to do it? until today browsing videos i honestly thought it was only mine that did it! what a nice surprise!

Well - I got badger to sing by singing really high and fairly out of tune. I first knew he was a "joiner" when I was playing a nature recording of wolves howling and he ran in the room and started howling too. Then I started howling like a wolf and he would join in - next I started singing Christmas Carols and voila - Badger the singing Border Terrier! good luck!
