  • This song still gives me goosebumps like it did the first time I heard it.

  • I was where my Campy high flange wheel went.

  • I doubt anyone involved in this video reads these comments, but this was a beautiful piece of art that captured a time in people's lives perfectly. Thanks.

  • where to download their songs.. i can't find em!

  • @lanpili itunes

  • Great vid. Great song. Great Band.

  • this song is one of the many reasons that The Velvet teen will always be my favorite band of all time. Everysong has so much passion and every single cd got better and better.. even Cum Laude! which was a completely different sound for the band, they still maintained the passion and emotion that lives in every song. im so excited for the new album. this band will always be in my heart for as long as i live. its incredible how a band can write what you cant bring into words. thank you TVT<3

  • @jacoboDrew Im so glad there are other out there who love these guys to the lunatic level that I do.

  • @TomboyintheCity hell yeah dude. i've got the gyzmkid ep guy tattooed on my forearm. reminds me every day of how they're music has changed my life.

  • Rest in Peace, Logan. Your music is amazing, in all it's incarnations.

  • difinitely one of my top ten favorite bands ever. They are flawless.

  • There is no "the best music ever" or "better band", you can only be objective when talking about a band's technical performance, everything else is merely subjective. Musical taste is all personal.

  • one of my top five favorite bands

  • Nah, Cum Laude is better.

  • Great song, Great meaning

  • this is the best music ever

  • I like this..

  • i like this

  • saw them at the gilman yesterday... i've seen them 5 times now and they never play this song...

  • serious! No way, this band will ever play the UK where I'm from but I would have felt for sure that this would be on the setlist. you know why it isn't?

  • well then. the video made me kind of sad. when i heard this on the current, it was a little more uplifting. but, with this the lyrics made more sense and stood out. Rated: worth watching if'n you gots time, but definitely worth listening to.

  • That was done on purpose. They weren't lip syncing in the shoot, they're just playing some songs for their friends.

  • Um... That was the point. To show that life continues on like always. S-M-R-T.

  • haha....that's so cool....I happened to have one of their cd's, just started to re listen their music and realized that it's so good..like them

  • Mary S says while they were shooting the bar scene in the video, she was nervous and Logan Whitehurst went over to the piano and started playing Scott Joplin rags perfectly. For some strange reason it put her totally at ease.

  • thats the new drummer casey who played on cum laude...logan was the one who died he only performed on the preceding records

  • THERE DRUMMER DIED

    that hit home....

i started listenin cause im a drummer too and his grooves were so different and very difficult he played and a level that was crazy hard like tokyoto and gymzkid wow any drummer will tell you that guy had talent

but i guess everyone else knows that and im just getting there but that terrible none the less awesome band

  • @Kaoz314 I know what you mean completely. I'm a drummer too and it's just awful, you know how talented the guy was. rip

  • @Kaoz314 Logan was long gone when Tokyoto was recorded all respect

  • @Kaoz314 tokyoto and gymzkid are from casey, the new drummer. still, there is only one logan and he is always missed.

  • @Kaoz314 Tokyoto and gyzm kid are done by drummer Casey Deitz. I believe Elysium was the last album that Logan Whitehurst, their original drummer, had recorded. I love both drummers. They are very different but they both make me feel this crazy awe in a way that no other music ever has. RIP Logan

  • @Kaoz314 logan, the first drummer died. he was amazing, but he's not the one playing on tokyoto and gyzmkid. the man you want to seek out for that style is casey deitz. deitz is beast.

  • Long live The Velvet Teen!

  • The original drummer (Logan Whitehurst) died of brain cancer and the bass guitarist/back-up vocalist (Joshua Staples) left to work on another project (The New Trust)...

  • Watching this great video makes me happy and sad. Happy, because The Velvet Teen are so great and Sonoma County's music scene deserves a breakthrough onto a larger stage. Sad, because Logan Whitehurst was such an essential part of the band, from his stunning artwork to the way he looked while drumming.

  • Touching video. Also probably the best VT album. They sound so much like Radiohead on this one that in anyone else's hands it'd be blasphemy, but the songwriting wins through.

  • Yeah. No offense to VT fans, but because of the reminiscing Radiohead sound, it's hard for me to get into them.

  • I suggest you listen to Elysium, then Cum Laude., it'll help =)

  • PETALUMA MARY ROCKS

  • I love the song, I love her face. The B&W footage reminds me of "Wings of Desire."

    Awesome!

  • my favorite song by VT but i guess i thought the video was going to be different. I think they should of shifted into color at some point to add a cool effect

  • lush song

  • I love Mary S. the star of this video.

  • Another great song by VT! Right on!

  • God, Judah Nagler's voice is so beautiful. In this song especially.

  • I love this video more each time I watch the whole thing. So much. I love the Velvet Teen

  • i dun get it. but it would be nice to see a video for a captive audience.
