  • Greatest song ever written... until that weak-ass breakdown, but it rights itself soon enough.

  • @ThisGuyOwns Agreed. What the hell was he thinking with that lame breakdown? Rest of the tune is pretty badass, though.

  • Anyone else think the bridge in this song sounds a little out of place? anyway Always loved this one

  • My ex tells me "There is a difference between stoner hippie music and real music ma'am." lol what a jack ass, I'm sorry but Sum 41 doesn't count as real music either especially if Terry Reid isn't.

  • @NotAsPerfect Your ex is an idiot. Real music is the stuff from the 60 and 70's Sum 41 is new age CRAP!

  • @jeromeT1020 Real music is anything that is good music don't matter when it's from...But sum 41 can blow me.

  • @MrMickthemonster I agree, that being said most of the real music is from the 70's and earlier. Most of the 80 music, some of the 90's everything after that is pretty much crapola

  • @jeromeT1020 Yup! =D

  • beautiful song

  • if i was gonna die and could here one last song before i did i would listen to this with some jack

  • dosn't matter how you get here, long as you got here. Your listening to the GOOD shit now!

  • @ThereWillBeDeath

    Hell yeah

  • what a song! Hairraising stuff

  • here becouse of devil's rejects

  • Don't l;et them sow a seed of memory let every man be aware of being free, some say the immortal run the country let every man be aware

  • This song is a hidden gem. Another great song by him on this same album is "Faith to Arise" Did you know that Jimmy Page asked this guy first to be the lead singer of Led Zeppelin....he turned it down because he wanted to play guitar and he reccommended Robert Plant.

  • so fucking perfect song!

  • Here because of The Devil's Rejects. Great song

  • Wow, you've posted all 8 of the songs on this album, how wonderful. Thank you so much. I've really enjoyed listening to this old favorite. I used to have this album back in the 70s, but lost it somewhere along the way.

  • If you have not seen "The Devils Rejects" but still know of the genius of Terry Reid, I applaud you. However i do recommend seeing this film as when this song comes in at the end it fits so perfectly!...Peace x

  • One idiot doesn't know great music when they hear it! SMH

  • i have been hooked ever since i heard this on the devils rejects!!!!

  • This song goes so freakin hard!

  • devil's reject did not send me here but i am glad to have discovered this beautiful music. this is just great to listen too

  • thanks god i watched the awesome classic movie devils rejects !!!

  • Thank God for The Devil's Rejects!

  • I have to admit, I was only made aware of this great song because I sat thru The Devil's Rejects. The only good thing about Rob Zombie movies is the music. Agreed?

  • I have to admit, I was only made aware of this great song because I sat thru The Devil's Rejects. The only good thing about Rob Zombie movies is the music. Agreed?

  • Thumbs up if "This bad ass song" sent you here

  • I don't know WHY so many hate the bridge of this song between 2:30 and 3:05. I agree that the key and tempo changes SHOULDN'T work, yet it DOES for me. THAT is the BRILLIANCE of Reid. I offer another of his songs, Dream, from the River recording. He does something similar on that bridge between the 3:00 and 4:00 marks and pulls THAT one off as well. THAT'S songwriting and singing Genius to my mind.

  • @Ishmael932 AGREED!!!

  • who's up for tracking down the one dislike??

  • I've never watched the devil's rejects but i sure have heard of terry reid :D

  • I've never watched the devil's rejects but i sure have heard of terry reid :D

  • Oh how terrible. I thought I never see a dislike button here. :(

  • I would love to hear a remake by Opeth. Mikael Akerfeldt has a voice that would go perfect with this song

  • You need to be deep to really appreciate this masterpiece.

  • @gasmask408 true true

  • i like this song from devils regets, im really feelin it

  • @killahkey i mean rejets(lol)

  • @killahkey rejects? ;)

  • @killahkey I think the title is better as "The Devil Regrets" :)

  • if it wasnt for him robert plant wouldnt have ever been in led zeppelin hes the one who introduced the two

  • Had not heard of this guy until I read the history of Deep Purple. There, I learnt they wanted him to replace Rod Evans, their first vocalist, when they wanted to go for a heavier sound. He turned them dowm down, mainly due to prior contractural commitments. He had also turned down a recently formed group by the name of Led Zeppelin.

  • this song has gotten me through some of the worst moments in my life. if you're reading this, I hope it can do the same for you when nothing else keeps you safe at night. smiley face ;)

  • @malfunkshun91 damn rite it does thumbs up

  • wow..i found this song through having Rumer on my facebook page and her posting terry Reid as a favourite artist.

  • Slow but incredibly powerful vibe about this song

  • 0 dislikes = this man is a genius

  • I wanna be this song!

  • Jimmy Page offered him the job to be lead singer of Led Zeppelin and he turned it down.

  • I heard of him moments ago by looking at a doc. about groupies. Shame on me.

  • thumbs up if "The Devils Rejects" sent you here

  • @callumchandler Rob made me know him <3

    Proud of it !

  • A man so cool, he turned down a chance to be a part of Led Zeppelin. I believe his exact words were 'No thanks. Ask Robert Plant instead. You see, I'm da boss."

  • No dislikes... this proves that this song is better than perfect

  • Love this song but it would be so funny to click the dislike button. I don't get why people care about some asshole like me clicking dislike. Even if I was stupid enough to actually not appreciate the song, you might as well go out and get angry at some holocaust deniers or something

  • fuck yes no dislikes lets keep it that way. any fag who wants to press the dislike button - just type in the shitty stuff you want to listen to, crap videos arent hard to come by.

  • Sometime's when I play this tune and see Terry in his current state off to the right, it makes me feel very human...and the music becomes timeless...

  • This is serenity through music...always lean on music when help is needed.

  • truly a godo i heard this song 12 times all days of my life when im going to my work take a bus put my earphones and start to fly im dreams love this man truly a god come to rio de janeiro terry we love you hereeee

  • I actually cropped the "outro", created a loop, and it's now my ringtone! KILLER.

  • I love all of his songs...amazing artist!

  • For the lemmings out there... you do realize Terry Reid was relevant before "Devils Rejects"... the man is a rock icon with the greatest that have ever played. Thanks Rob Z for reintroducing us to Terry's music... but he was great when you were a stain on a daiper Rob

  • @dbcoll1957 It's been great knowing his beauty before his songs hit the movie, but yes, I'm happy the beauty is showing through once again. :)

  • I too heard this on Devil's Rejects and it's one of the very few times I've actually sat through end credits, this song is just perfect and dare I say beautiful. I don't care what colour you are, anyone who truly loves music can't deny this lost treasure. Thanks to Rob Zombie and my love for twisted horror movies lol!!

  • good song.

  • wooow. im 20. black. and ppl think im crazy for liking and listening to songs like this. i heard this on the Devil's Rejects and i LOVE IT.!! i just love good music like this. amazing artist :)

  • @iBrutallyHonest I don't think you're crazy for liking this... I think you're blessed. Look up Mickey Newbury (Willow Tree).

  • @TheNickSmithey ello :) i listened to the song you suggested... ooo very good.. :) thank you for recommending it :)

  • You cannot compose a song more perfect than this.

  • @eriklivesinnj yea...well idk if "better" but many many are just as good if not better their all opinions of course, like check out " Rainbow Eyes " by Rainbow

  • @eriklivesinnj you are correct sir. i love u as much as i love this song

  • @eriklivesinnj Cut the part from 2:30 to 3:05, then it's perfect

  • @MH95Sensei LOL ya, that part really does kind of kill the mood.

  • @MH95Sensei LOL everytime that part comes up in the song when I am listening to it on here, I just click your comment to skip that shit.

  • @MassTransit999 Haha need a remix :P

  • this song is constantly in my head

  • Same here.Heard this on Devils rejects,Never heard it be4,Fukin luv it,,,,,,

  • Not only did Jimmy Page ask Terry to be his front man(understandably so!), Terry suggested Robert Plant to Jimmy.

  • Wow, zero dislikes. I'm impress! :D

  • @GoregeousLey And no mention of that annoying mop headed teen sensation that's sweeping the world (seriously folks, don't mention his name, his like voldemort now).

  • ... don't know anything about Mr. Zombie, I seem to remember from the 90's as a kind circus act... ?

Graham Nash with the production credits and the late Ben Keith on pedal steel (who probably played the single most recognized pedal steel guitar part in history on Neil Young's 'Old Man')... I'm lovin' this song... such a fine example of everything that was great about music in the 70's.

ps- resist corporate control of the internet at every turn so that this music can be available to all!

  • rob zombie comment

  • Some music is like sex for your ears.

  • Did everyone know that Terry Reid was originally asked to be the lead singer of a certain band back in the day??? A little band called Led Zeppelin!

  • @Livin4march oh yeah, i wonder how that would've turned out, he was also asked to be in deep purple.

  • @Livin4march Ironically enough, that's EXACTLY who he reminds me of.

  • "Rave dreams, that are Kindle from ashes"<---------- 3:20--3:27 did he say that? X_X

  • im gunna change things up, cuz i cant stand rob zombie(as a musician) i found terry through the fantastic covers by the racontuers

  • Terry is the man! PERIOD! This and many other of his tunes grab me! What a voice ... a man and his music ... ahead of its time. This is real music! And no .... Robert Plant emulates Terry Reid! What a freakin voice! Terry you are the man ... will be hoping to see if you'll be touring soon so I can catch you preform! STOKED!

  • this song and to be treated right is terry at his best!!!

  • i guess everyone who saw the devils rejects felt that it had a bittersweet ending that was so perfect and the music made it twice as epic and intense. going from the craZ solos of free bird and then straight into seeds of memory. best ending to a movie ever and thats largly because of the music

  • good music

  • I wish this song would last forever.

  • THIS IS WHAT REAL MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE

  • dj clay pen and paper remix

  • I seem to be the only one who didnt hear about this guy till now haha. This song is so surreally chilling and epic, an absolute masterpiece

  • my brother showed me terri reid years ago when i was younger. i loved. zombie made a great choice in putting his songs in his movies

  • I never heard of Terriy Reid until The Devils Rejects came out. I too played the end credits over and over and over. Thanks Rob Zombie for opening my eyes.

  • @schultz1963 If any one cares, I think this guy is a musical genius.

  • @schultz1963 I'm the same. Rob Zombie also made me explore the Allman Brothers more, which is another great band.

  • @schultz1963 i agree i did the exact same thing i love alot of songs from that movie!!

  • @schultz1963 Same here man....i bought the Reject's soundtrack off of itunes solely b'cuz of this song.

  • @schultz1963 right on man! right on!

  • @schultz1963 that combined with the free bird end blaze of glory made me cum.do you agree?

  • Damn good! Sometimes I feel as though I was born 20 years to late...

  • even though this is a total departure from my normal taste in music i have to say this is amazing and Terry Reid has one more fan.

  • Rob Zombie picked the PERFECT song for then ending of Rejects. Thanks to Rob I found Terry Reid. Theyre both amazing artists lyricaly and vocally

  • Beer in one hand, lighter in the other.. "Woooooooooooo" Rock on

  • Which part of the film is this bit on?

  • @JoanJettRocker1 the very end credits

  • @JoanJettRocker1 the end

  • Perfect song to close out with the beautiful overhead view of those mountains

  • One of the most underrated songwriters of the period.

  • JUSS FINISHED WATCHING THE DEVILS REJECTS, I FUKKING LOVE THAT MOVIE, I WOULDVE NEVER FOUND THIS FUKKING KICK ASS SONG IF IT WASNT FOR THE DEVILS REJECTS \m/

  • maybe just atab underrated...

  • haha i kept rewinding the end of devils rejects for this song too. he sounds alot like robert plant.

  • @dickiejuice haha he was actually the first pick for led zeppelin, but he turned the offer down

  • @bringbackthe1960sppl I heard his manager turned it down for him. Something about a breach of contract or some shit like that. Management sucks.

  • Imagine a Lion's gate horror movie about Sabretooth(Victor Creed). No Wolverine in site, just a seven foot -rasor clawed killer. Thanks Rob and Terry.

  • Excellent musician and song....I have not heard this in many many years to the point of forgetting about it since I was a kid in the early 70's.Thanks for posting this !

  • Little known fact......Jimmy Page wanted Terry Reid to be the lead singer for a group he was forming called The New Yardbirds, but Terry Reid was on tour at the time and couldn't do it, so Terry Reid introduced Jimmy Page to Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin was later formed. Basically, Led Zeppelin wouldn't exist if it weren't for Terry Reid.

  • he was the original choice for led zeps lead singer

  • If rob zombie never done Halloween in 2007, I should be at this age with a shirt of lady gaga. So I appreciate that you have created Halloween, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's rejected and Halloween II, because the music has shown me, by buying my first KISS album.

Rob Zombie thank you for everything.

  • I'd also like to publicly thank Rob Zombie, of all people, for introducing me to this man's music... it's like.. where the FUCK have you been all my life?!

  • good song to smoke and hear

  • i never write anything about songs but this just really deserves a comment..... very beautiful song i too was rewinding the ending of Devils Rejects just to listen to it

  • Good music I too heard it on Devils rejects. To bad this guy wasn't bigger. There are far to many people who have never even heard of him. He almost has a neil young type sound in this song.

  • Ive always like Terry Reid and im so glad that Zombie "brought back" these amazing classic tunes for all to hear and enjoy. Simply excellent.
