The rescue tape and evidence was not allowed to be shown to the jury and Tammy was convicted of theft. She did community time instead of jail because the judge didn't want her to 'be a martyr' for animal welfare. The DA refused to file any animal cruelty charges against the negligent owners.

I keep trying to find up dates on this whole situation. I'm a dirt poor, disabled vet, but I would give up a meal or two, just to send a couple of bucks to help with her defense. I would have done the same thing. Well, I'm a bit crazy, there might have been some arson involved if I was there. But the dog would have been saved.

This is an outrage i applaud Tammy for sticking to her guns i was recently in a situation similar to this although this was in the UK where i live, a neighbour had a cat who quite clearly was suffering and dieing of cancer she would come into my house everyday i did try to speak to the owners to get help for the animal but to no avail,they told me they couldnt afford the vet bill. I offered to pay and was told quite rudely where to go. I contacted the RSPCA explained the situation.

I wish I had a Tammy where I live. My neighbor's abuse their dogs and don't hide it. The once had hound dogs that they starved and when my parents called them in to both the sheriff and animal departments they were let go. I saw the same owner hitting his chained dogs with a black pipe. Now when we try to report them we get the run around. Currently there is a pitbull mother with puppies and I can count her ribs and spine. I need a tammy.

Our cat that me and my friend got one day, the landlord got the cat for her son's two little girls. After they left, the landlord toss the cat out into the POURING rain left for dead. Me and my friend got the cat, and rescue it. Cat was full of worms, under weigh, fever of 105.1, and stress. It took 5 WHOLE months to cure the cat. The landlord then months later KNEW we had the cat and told me i could keep the cat. Lord knows the landlord is a bitch but now years later the cat is happy. :D

My neighbours left their dog in the garden for days. No Water, no food. It was terrible. I have pictures and video. I fed the dog through a hole in the fence. After a while, I made the hole bigger and left my gate open. The dog disappeared. I figured it had a better chance on its own and would probably be picked up by someone who cared a lot more. I could not keep it as I have a bull terrier, or I would have done the same thing as Tammy.

I keep trying to find up dates on this whole situation. I'm a dirt poor, disabled vet, but I would give up a meal or two, just to send a couple of bucks to help with her defense. I would have done the same thing. Well, I'm a bit crazy, there might have been some arson involved if I was there. But the dog would have been saved.

This is an outrage i applaud Tammy for sticking to her guns i was recently in a situation similar to this although this was in the UK where i live, a neighbour had a cat who quite clearly was suffering and dieing of cancer she would come into my house everyday i did try to speak to the owners to get help for the animal but to no avail,they told me they couldnt afford the vet bill. I offered to pay and was told quite rudely where to go. I contacted the RSPCA explained the situation.

Unfortunatly in the courts eyes animals are considered property which is totaly fucked up. What I want to know is why on earth someone would get an animal if they don't want to take care of it, and how does that judge still have a job?!? I wish I had a Tammy where I live. My neighbor's abuse their dogs and don't hide it. The once had hound dogs that they starved and when my parents called them in to both the sheriff and animal departments they were let go. I saw the same owner hitting his chained dogs with a black pipe. Now when we try to report them we get the run around. Currently there is a pitbull mother with puppies and I can count her ribs and spine. I need a tammy.

The legal system that protect animal abuse, is an ass. if a person sets fire to his own house, and a neighbor runs over with a bucket of water, and puts out the fire, then the water damage is the responsibility of the neighbor. In fact, the neighbor is obligated to protect the property. So the dog is living property being destroyed, protect it. If we do not demand protection for animal, can we protect one another.

If the owner didn´t have money to feed the dog or wanted fo feed it then why did the dog became so "popular" when it was saved by someone? Our cat that me and my friend got one day, the landlord got the cat for her son's two little girls. After they left, the landlord toss the cat out into the POURING rain left for dead. Me and my friend got the cat, and rescue it. Cat was full of worms, under weigh, fever of 105.1, and stress. It took 5 WHOLE months to cure the cat. The landlord then months later KNEW we had the cat and told me i could keep the cat. Lord knows the landlord is a bitch but now years later the cat is happy. :D

My neighbours left their dog in the garden for days. No Water, no food. It was terrible. I have pictures and video. I fed the dog through a hole in the fence. After a while, I made the hole bigger and left my gate open. The dog disappeared. I figured it had a better chance on its own and would probably be picked up by someone who cared a lot more. I could not keep it as I have a bull terrier, or I would have done the same thing as Tammy.

As do all who stand up for injustice against animals -including our race- in the face of ignorance, abuse and uncaring assholes. All those involved in the incompetence that was used against this brave woman will get what they deserve through our continued action.

Respond to this video... "Oh, God..." ;( Why can't people understand that DOGS RELY ON US! How dare you people beat&abuse them. Seeing these cats, dogs, etc. Abused&Abandoned is terrible. I'd devote my life to saving their lives. STOP BREEDING DOGS&CATS! SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS!!! If you can't provide for them, don't provide at the most the torture of living. -_- HOW DARE you people. I do sincerely hope everything is settled and well with Tammy! The world needs more of heroes just like her! risking and giving up her freedom for an animal is phenomenal!!!!
