  • @Carnageloser7 I think it is, unless he's thinking about his daughter in a teddy.

  • This guy does the voice overs for the Budweiser commercials. We salute you, Halo guy.

  • in covenent ships

  • ist keyes is dead

  • I like this terminal cuz it goes with the book, which is somthing Reach failed to do (which is the main reason why i dont like Reach)

  • @KOAHUNT3R right? idc what anyone says, Halo Reach the game is NOT CANNON AT ALL. The Fall of Reach was better 100x. Spartan 3s (which nobel team is besides Jorge) were not around until the events of mid halo 2...

  • @Hershey2553 Yeah I agree with you. I liked the book far more better. In honesty, I'll go with Reach's campaign up to when the Covenant armada arrives, that is where they should've followed the book. Reach fell within a day, not a month like the game had it. Though you are mistakened with the Spartan III's timeline. Ghosts of Onyx's prolouge explains Spartan III's on a mission in 2545, 7 years before Reach fell on August 30th, 2552

  • @KOAHUNT3R oh thats right im sorry i forgot about that mission. But Halsey didnt know of them until the events of Onyx YET she converses with them in the game

  • As a military member the only information you are allowed to give is your Service number, name and Rank. POW SOP

  • I always felt terrible about the team that went into the swamp. Mendoza, keyes. At least johnson made it out alive.

  • R.I.P

    Cpt. Jacob Keyes

    2495 - 2552

  • yeah, at first he realizes something is trying to find Earth, so he distracts it with unimportant memories, then when those run out, he slows it down by repeating his SN, but then it starts going through his real memories and breaks through, and he starts to forget what he was doing, then is absorbed. its all moot though since the proto-gravemind gets blown up before it can leave halo. but this terminal makes me wish you could play as Keyes strike team in the swamp

  • For some reason, this video motivates me to memorize my social security number. I despise governments assigning random numbers to citizens, but if it can help you cling to your sense of identity when all else is lost, then hell yeah!

  • Greatest character in the Halo franchise...

  • you gotta hand it to Captain Keyes he fought the proto grave mind to the end. He really is a tough son of a bitch.

  • For those who haven't heard yet, this was a scene from the book The Flood. The proto-Gravemind is sifting through Keye's memories and discarding/erasing them. A lot of these memories aren't being conjured up by him, it's the Flood digging through his thoughts trying to figure out where Earth is. They pull up beautiful/painful memories and erase them to punish his resistance, and violent memories to weaken him. Knowing the context makes this scene a lot more intense.

  • what a shame... keys you were such a leader!

  • this is gravemind, that is making keyes forget who he was because me and a friend of mine are trying to prove to another friend that this is indeed gravemind. please help?

  • @ginganu1234 Its not the gravemind you know from halo 2 or 3. It coudve been but it was destroyed. That was aproto gravemind and couldve become a full fledge one and there wouldvv'e been two.

  • hmm whats worse, being consumed by the flood or turned into a necromorphe?

  • Halsey looks sexy in that purple dress!

  • @BuddermilkPwn3dU Thats not Halsey..

  • This is really cool, i got beat halo CEA abunch of times and its really cool to actually see what happened to keyes before chief punches his face

  • He repeats his serial to cling on to what is left of himself. The book was great, but seeing it like this was even greater.

  • @OmegaAnimech good response but he actually repeats his name and servise number to feed the proto gravemind information that wont lead the flood to earth

  • @Lekgolo549 does the book tell you if he does, legitimately, think that the covenant captured him or does he think that in hopes that the gravemind will direct itself against the convenient before the humans?

  • @damobeck1 He's aware that whatever has captured him wants Earth. In an effort to keep Earth a secret, he uses his neural relay to draw on information - his name, rank, and service number. Everything else is stripped away as the Proto-gravemind attempts to establish itself in his mind. He held out just long enough for Chief to put him out of his misery.

  • @Lekgolo549 Hah, your username is Lekgolo, the the hunter worms, am I right? I used to know EVERYTHING about the Halo series. Then I started playing Bethesda games for the longest time, so I forgot some of it.

  • @12Insomniac Yea thats correct

  • Jenkins was the only known human other than Keyes to stay stay conscious and partially in control after infection. He eventually got captured by ODSTs after trying to get himself killed by them.

They restrained him and tried to interrogate him but he couldn't speak. The infection form controlling him snapped his arm in half to try and use the jutting bone as an weapon. He could feel everything.

Who's to say what's left of fully-infected Marines.

  • @Terrab1A7 who says they all dont stay concuss when infected, and the flood just controles the bodies

  • man I feel bad for him now, awesome terminal

  • this is so sad. poor Keyes

  • my god it hurts to watch how this happened it was bad enough to read about it but GOD DAMM!!! no one deserves that!!

  • you sea he keeps repeting his service number and name to keep the corordinance of earth out of his head the fact that he keeps repeting it shoxs how strong he is rip CPT. Keys

  • Every solider felt like this in the Halo universe, on both sides of the Human-Covenant War. It's really sad.

  • that was the most emotional part of the book.

  • im still reading this book and its EPIC

  • EVERYONE Ill answer you question!

The flood why did they attack earth, well I'm pretty sure the coverdant opened a portal that sent a coverdant ship from High Charity to earth that was infested with flood thus soreading the beings to earth...

If you didn't now the Gravemind know every thing about the UNSC because of keys

  • @Timasuarus007 but keyes and his flood host was destroyed. Also the covenant was not in control of High Charity (I think) at the time, it was the flood.

  • @john1112371 Yeah, I didn't say the coverdant controlled it, it was overun by the flood

  • @Timasuarus007 well you said the that the covenant opened a portal to send a ship from high charity to earth. The covenant didn't do that (i think)

  • @john1112371 No cortana says 'They did something' then a portal opens (In halo 3)

  • @Timasuarus007 Please specify the word "they"

  • @john1112371 As in the coverdant

  • @Timasuarus007 Er... you mean Miranda says that, Cortana wasn't present when the Excession activated.

  • @ajw34307 Oh, yeah, I mean Miranda since Cortana was cutured by the flood at the time

  • @Timasuarus007 the flood from halo 1 died thus the gravemind died with keyes information it was the flood from halo 2 who assaulted earth

  • Thats a gravemind right? I like this terminal. The others make no sense

  • @BigRedChester Lol dude they all make sooo much sense

  • Gravemind : All your memory are belong to us.

  • i reckon that the flood are attacking earth an there main planet is the one that the chief is by (will eventualy land on) and keyes has been taken over and he is the main leader of the flood (maybe there more intellegent than wot we thought) and the covenant are fighting it is awell tryinto fend them and whilst your on the planet the covernant are attacking you (bit like in halo 3....... sorta) an yeah but thas just wot i think the story will be like probrably wont be but maybe

  • @SuicidalXboxers no, just no.

  • @SuicidalXboxers How the hell could Keyes become the leader of the Flood!?!, Chief punched his skull in, and blew of Halo and killed most of the Flood there.

  • @TheGTIAMHIJKLM15 He didn't the gravemind is from another halo

  • @admiralhugo40k I know that, I was replying to SuicidalXboxers who thinks in Halo 4 Keyes will be the leader of the Flood on the Flood planet Chief is headed to in the Foward Unto Dawn. Which is a really fucking retarded idea, and he says he played halo 3

  • Face the true horror of the Flood.

Most don't understand what makes the Flood so menacing. It does not kill you; it consumes you.

  • Yes, this was on one the book HALO: The Flood... it describes things better than the original campaing did... but that was 10 years ago :)

  • oh my god i rmb reading about this

  • i miss keys,he was on reach and halo

  • Straight out of the book, I love it!!

  • i remember this from the book the flood

  • Pretty emotional stuff :/

  • Epic

  • With all due respect, this terminal video feed just made me shit my pants, it was so creepy.

  • i think that was Dr Halsey in the scene with the women in the pajamas

  • They got to make a movie!!!

  • Amazing stuff

  • Goodbye old friend...

You held up the best fight no one else could have fought.

  • "The thought of retreat is invisible to a soldiers heart. He will not struggle to kill those whom have taken the lives of his brothers. He will fight on, until he cannot or until his target is destroyed. For his last breath on the battlefield is a trigger squeze or saving his comrades. Not one will hesitate, to bring sacrifice and honor to his brothers. For he will lay down his life for those in danger, or be known as a coward." - Captain Jacob Keyes.

  • is 1:45 the Sydney opera house?

  • @Alexthapanda Yeah it is

  • i just remembered this part was in the book, i was wondering why it sounded so familiar when i first found it.

  • this was also in the book adaption of Combat Evolved, aptly named The Flood.

  • i love how he fights it to the very end, it just shows how strong the will of a UNSC Captin is.

  • just like th book!!!!!!

  • Damn O:

  • Awesome.

  • That was fucking terrifying.

  • Keyes, Jacob, captain, service number: 01928-19912- JK. You, will, not, have, me!

    We already do...

  • This depresses the fuck out of you

  • 2:00 is Dr. Halsey. The woman in the dress

  • think this is scary look up wallace jenkins. i rekon he had it worse

  • and this is why the flood haunted me since 2001

  • Now I really want to kill some flood in Anniversary.

  • When i read this in the book I was trying to imagine how it would look, not to mention feel when fighting to keep your identity against the flood. All I can say after finding that terminal is job very well done 343i. Job very well done indeed :)

  • I remember reading about his final moments in "The Flood", he went out like a boss!

  • The flood are freaky, i hate em, they are much stronger in anniversary, i was struggling to get through them on normal lol

  • he..pooped himself.

  • everytime i watch this it makes me feel really sad poor captain keyes

  • @BountyHunter274, Both, I imagined it in the book but not like this...

  • I read about this in the book. Lot creepier than I thought.

  • Oh god that's scary....

  • I like this one since it actually shows just how violent and scary the flood taking over somebody can be.

I felt in the Halo Trilogy that the flood weren't scary enough and never really considered that everytime a soldier died and transformed it would be this creepy.

  • God, I remember reading the book...it was freaky to visualize then and it's freaky now.

  • @scrin992 what book i need to read it now

  • @scrin992 Halo: The Flood

  • @scrin992 but wheres the part of Him Killing the Person and Whos The woman?

  • @MrCcbcc The woman is Dr. Halsey, whom he had a short relationship with and was Miranda Keyes' mother (though Miranda and Halsey had a falling out later on). I believe you are mentioning when Keyes is forced to remember his first kill...do not know why it's not in there.

  • Hey, was Keyes getting some action from Halsey at 2:19?!

  • @czj617 Yeah, well Halsey was Miranda's mother.

  • 2:21 Is Dr. Halsey :O

  • Sad, but good to know he went out swinging.

  • Like something outta Lovecraft.

  • this was so freaky poor captain keyes

  • that's sad I wanna to kill some flood now! I going to kill some flood in anniversary again!

  • That was sad :(

  • That one was lil freaky haha thanks for uploading these :)

  • @MarcMTX this was my favorite of the terminals Jacob Keyes was one of my favorite characters i was pissed when i saw that he was taken over by the proto gravemind

  • @Lekgolo549 HARD! =P

  • @Lekgolo549 proto? And omg i was almost crying when he's struggling to remember and the bastard evil thing is invading and erasing his precious memories, but then i thought well he's a gonner anyways but sucks the flood is stealing his memories, and that how the flood reaches earth (in africa) because it found out where earth was from his mind??

  • @david1991rules4life The Proto Gravemind is basically the stage before the Gravemind. When numerous Flood forms combine with one another it is created. Once the Proto hits critical mass, it becomes the form we see in Halo 2 and 3. Typically, reaching the Gravemind form is a very lengthy process.

  • @NASTAR01 oh i see

  • @david1991rules4life Also, the Flood did not learn of Earth's location through Keyes. 'Chief was able to take his neural implants, and therefore those memories, before the Proto Gravemind could access the whereabouts of the planet. The knowledge was probably gained after he invaded High Charity. Perhaps once the Prophet of Mercy was infected, or any Covenant really.

  • @NASTAR01 how do you know that? the terminal even shows keys trying to stop him from taking earth and then gravemind says your memories will be mine, forget. etc

how do you know master chief spartan john 117 took the implant to those "memories" for earth b4 hgravemind found out? you read the book?

  • @david1991rules4life It's never specifically stated in the games, or the book, but it is noted in the Halopedian (the online source for all things Halo) that Keyes was able to suppress that memory long enough for Master Chief to arrive and extract his neural implants. I believe if the Flood knew of Earth's whereabouts during the events of Combat Evolved, they would have launched an attack on the planet sooner. It was only following the attack on High Charity that the Flood struck Earth.

  • @NASTAR01 ok then, makes sense. :)
