  • Manchester shay tard :)

  • i believe he messes up on 3:29,

but you can't focus on the bad

  • I gotta buy a new guitar...

  • Where the hell was the camera goin at 3:06?????

  • will never understand how someone can dislike this

  • this man has talent beyond all reason,

    6 people are simple minded

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if you think this is better acoustic :D!

  • Dang can this get any better?

  • watch?v=OeyZGRpwTb8&sns=em

  • this song reminds a lot of a notorious story in the bible. Cain and Able

  • @fireabreather831 you propably saw year one

  • Beautiful.

  • i like the tags :P

  • what tuning are they playin in?

  • @mattkaegebein they normally play a half step down so that's what I am assuming.

  • kinda sounds a little pink floyd-ish...i like it

  • @twizted013 that is one of the first things that came to mind

  • Great band !!!!!!

  • I don't think this song works unplugged

  • Gänsehaut pur!

  • I'm in love!

  • crying

  • i wish this song would be played by apocalyptica on cello. perhaps some time..?

  • It's hard to believe that people allow themselves to be brainwashed and dumbfounded by pop media when they can find beautiful music like this, maybe the simple masses should wear uniforms

  • fuck me 666 likes and 6 dislikes what the fuck!?!?!?!

  • @walli26: fuck, I'm number 95001. Damn you

  • 95000th VIEWER!

  • When I heard Manchester Orchestra for the first time, I was really surprised about his very high voice, for such a body.

    Lol :/

  • 6 people accidentally clicked dislike while trying to turn up the volume.

  • and so the obsession is renewed..

  • A man who can sing crazy

  • @qwertyatesantaclaus I agree with you to an extent, you're right about andy being more vocally and instrumentally talented, but a couple things that you're failing to mention: cage puts on a way better show live than manchester, and matt schultz has every bit of intensity and raw emotion as andy hull has when performing. Don't hate on cage bc just like manchester both bands are not sell-outs, and both bands perform the most truthful music we get now days from rock. Leave it alone they both rock!

  • @Re1tzstro i agree with yoiu... i went to go watch manchester orchestra because im a real big fan.. but there was more energy with cage the elephant.well... their songs were filled with more energy and the crowd responded in the same way but manchester had the crowd moving too. his studio versions of the song are a lot mellower than they are live which suprised me.. he had SO MUCH energy in his performance. and i got a picture with the keyboardist :D at in-n-out :D effing awesome

  • Ok They're not that bad. I didnt like this song but now I remember hearing Ive got friends and liking it. So no beer bottles please.

  • @CliffyB81 check out shake it out and now that youre home too, those are great songs

  • This kinda sucks. Im going to see Cage the Elephant and these guys open for them. Thought I would check them out.. So far I dont see why this is that good. I hope they dont get bottles thrown at them cuz this sux

  • @CliffyB81 you obviously have zero clue what you're talking about. There is a reason why 72,000 people have viewed this video, and only 6 morons disliked it. Also, throwing beer bottles? What white trash town are you from? Get real and grow up

  • why didn't they mic the guitars up?? being picky, but it would've sounded far nicer...great performance though

  • @leonface The microphones are Directly inputted :) (Jack input)

  • @RyanHattonMusic nah, you're wrong there

  • even sexier acoustic

  • i like this band and particlurally the singer but i must admit they remind me a lot me without you

  • @zullone Your opinion is false.

  • anyone else think that the acoustic version is better than the album version? such a powerful voice!

  • Amazing Talent!!

  • whats with the monotonic crowd. i would rip my clothes off for these guys !

  • He's amazing, honestly, my best find in quite a while.

  • oh for fucks sake. now everything else i try to listen to sucks.

  • @Negend calm down...no one else cares about anyone else

  • yeah i bet you do, but can they play beautiful passionate raw material this good... ?

  • just way to good

  • just way to good

  • If i would have been there listening, i'm sure would have kicked me out for jizzing all over the walls

  • How the fuck could they just clap!!! I would be shouting my face off after a performance like that!

  • MO's album "Simple Math" is SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! It has been streaming on repeat on my computer all day! It's so addicting!

  • Andy hull. Ohmygod. Speechless once more

  • This guy has an amazing voice... its haunting. WAY Better than album version

  • Comment removed

  • this is way better than the actual version on the album. this is one of the best things i've ever cussing heard.

  • Comment removed

  • Great voice, maybe even better live :)

  • those people were not impressed enough!

  • Camera guy at 3:07?

  • @andrewnaquin he taught he saw the heaven.

  • @andrewnaquin

just checkin to see whether there was a halo above andy's head...

  • @andrewnaquin That's why he's a camera guy at a radio station.

  • @andrewnaquin See what happened to the cameraman at 3:07 is that the music was so mesmerizing that he passed out and they immediately replaced him at 3:09 for a cameraman who usually listens to Pitbull.

  • @andrewnaquin Probably jizzed

  • @noredak Proably the greatest comment I have ever read.

  • Love it. <3

  • i hate that they had to back up the release date to may

  • Just over half an hr thenother night at xoyo he said this album will be a lot heavier. :)

  • Spoke to Andrew for just over ha

  • Is it me or is Robert playing Kevin Devine's guitar?

  • My summer's concert to-go list is going to be ballin'. I have a feeling this will be the root of its greatness...

  • The two people who disliked this suck at math.

  • They have very similar timbres to their voices but they have different intricacies in how they sing. What syllables they emphasize, which the accent for Mumford and Sons is part of this. They do sound similar but they still have their differences. Both are very good live too. And hey what's with the fifth grade insults. Grow up and just enjoy the music.

  • Great, great voice. Really raw and drenching in emotion.

  • If the whole album is this good, I'm going to explode.

  • may 10th!!!!!!!!

  • you all need to relax yourselves. mumford and sons are perfectly good. but no they sound nothing like Manchester Orchestra so it wouldn't really be far to compare them anyway.

  • @arcticvultures actually yeah mumford and sons is awful... manchester orchestra is great. don't compare your shit with them

  • @streulpita Andy Hall fan boy. :// Orchestra gets worse every album .

  • @HannahHavco i did not like that last one but i think this one ( from what i have heard ) will be good. lets hope!

  • @arcticvultures no he doesn't at all you ignorant fuck. mumford and sons singer is shit. andy hull is a god you must have hearing problems

  • @streulpita Your calling him ignorant as fuck yet you say mumford and sons singer is shit? Shut the fuck up. You stupid fucking hypocrite.

  • Doesn't he mean may? Is comes out in may.

  • @dubstepdisco It was originally going to be released in march

  • i love his voice... <3

  • can't stop listening to them.

  • Fantastic song -- the magic just keeps getting more powerful.

  • Manchester Orchestra has been incredible since I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, but I think this will be the album that makes all the critics who doubted them finally recognize that this band is a force to be reckoned with. Just a prediction.

  • approximately 1% of people who watch this video dislike it.

approximately 1% of people worldwide are schizophrenic.

    checkmate.

  • @trentcaleb the probability of the schizophrenic 1% disliking this video is even smaller.

  • @trentcaleb I am schizophrenic. Manchester Orchestra is one of my favourite bands. Don't make generalisations. :-D

  • @trentcaleb say that about rebecca blacks song friday.

  • @trentcaleb schizophrenia is no excuse to be stupid enough to dislike this ...

  • this song is amazing and beautiful and everything that is right about the music industry

  • His voice does not fit his body or face..or anything..lol. But amazing none the less

  • How can someone dislike this? I just thought I'd let you know, the ONE person who disliked this, that you are insane.

  • ugh this song is so great. i literally cannot wait to hear the rest of the album. this song is free on their website so get it now!

  • The truth cannot be fractioned.

  • I cried.

  • one person can't do simple math

  • Only dislike... Bwahaha suck it hipsters

  • @Endlesstom331 At least I have a good taste in music.

  • @Endlesstom331 i really dont think that MO is considered to be hipster music. but way to take a stand i guess.

  • @DGog224 well kind sir..to each his own. I would like to someday take you out for a nice steak dinner.. I'm just kinda dissapointed with their direction lately...there first album had such promise

  • @Endlesstom331 nice. i love steak. their first album is definitely their best, i'll have to agree with you there.

  • Impressive. It's such a pity that I can't tune any british radio from my non british IP...... T_T

  • It is a wonderful thing that there are no dislikes.

  • manchester orchestra, lupe fiasco, saigon, and city and colour all have new albums this year!!... fuckin great year for music

  • Justin Bieber exists, so there can't be a God.

  • Release pushed to May 10? Boo. It's going to be a long two months.

  • so glad that radio 1045 is my hometown station

  • I really want Manchester Orchestra to tour with Kevin Devine and Bad Books :)

  • @cheliotmeowot ??? Where Have You Been?

  • @tomps43

    @stayseesdeserts

hahah I know what Bad Books is. I don't think you guys get what I mean. I'd like to go to a show where Manchester Orchestra plays their songs, Kevin Devine plays, and then have them both get on stage together and play Bad Books songs. Cause I feel like if Bad Books toured they would have a different band open. Does that make sense?

  • @cheliotmeowot oh yeah, most definitely, it would be a pretty alright show. :)

  • @cheliotmeowot - bad books is a kevin divine and part of manchester orchestra collaboration.

  • I am simply amazed by how beautiful their music is.

  • Andy Hull, you are my idol

  • have an awesome beard and an awesome band *check*

  • Truly an amazing band. Simply put!!!

  • Liars! May.

  • yea. that was awesome. wow.

  • i was the 100th person to like this video...even though i loved it

  • I've been a fan of them since their first album and I fucking love this song. I cannot wait till Simple Math comes out. I think Andy Hull is the Bob Dylan of his generation.

  • I couldn't love anything more than this band.

  • YAYAYAYYAYA so good, I want the CD now please.

  • HOLY CRAP they wrote a song including math problems and it turns out its a masterpiece!

  • i think i just peed my pants.

  • May 10th.

  • Someone please explain to me how Brand New sounds like them.

Also, Manchester doesn't work nearly as well acoustically--they do it too much, considering how much better they sound electrically.

  • @mwtillotson dude, you suck

  • @thatdudeonutube

    Cool story bro.

I've been a Manchester Orchestra fan for quite a while and I've seen them live. Hull is an excellent songwriter, but he is an unimpressive guitarist and they shouldn't rely on his playing when done acoustically. All of their acoustic stuff ends up with nearly the same sound anyways. They're just not that good acoustically.

But plugged in? Sign me up.

  • @mwtillotson I agree a little. But if you listen to Andy's acoustic stuff it is quite incredible... Listen to Fourteen Years of Excellence. <-- Thats good

  • @mwtillotson i disagree, i actually think is acoustic stuff is pretty amazing, especially on the second album of right away great captain... or the live album of MO that you can get on itunes = )

  • @mwtillotson sorry dude but i totally disagree! he is an amazing guitarist! acoustic and electric is pretty much the same thing, it's not like it's a different insturment and he is very good at both, Brand new is a totally different kind of band they have more rage and in their acoustic songs like handcuffs or play crack the sky they don't have to use complicated chords or tabs to get the kind of sound there band produces

  • So Im thinking "Simple Math" Will be equal to Brand new's " the devil and god are raging inside of me"

  • I don't know if they'll be able to do anywhere near as good as Mean Everything to Nothing, because that album is honestly one of the best I've ever heard, but I'm definitely assuming this album is gonna be awesome. I can't fucking wait for it.

  • i created an account simply so that i could like this video

  • I have a feeling this album will top Mean Everything to Nothing

  • doesn't come out till may anywhere

  • It doesnt come out to may here in the uk !!!

  • AWESOME SANDWICH!!!!!!

  • Can't w8 !

  • What am i going to do with myself until then.

  • they just keep getting better

  • Man Orchestra is such a brilliant band of musicians. Why is it that people over 30 don't like them?

  • I need this CD to be in my hands NOW
