Thank you so much for your tutorials! They are superb! I have a question concerning levels though. Is it possible to save custom levels settings so that I may use it in other files? Let's say I'm working on a series of images and instead of manually adjusting settings for each levels mask all over again, can I use a saved preset levels mask instead to save time??

Well, I love Paint too, but It's like a completely different program. Paint is the better choice for painting images, photoshop is the greatest to edit images and photos.

Holding down Alt doesn't just work with Levels, but every other adjustment, too.

Your referring to Auto Levels, Auto color, and Auto contrast right? This explains why auto levels didn't work right once I manually attempted to adjust levels

No, I'm referring to Curves, Color Balance, Hue/Saturation, etc. Just add Alt to the shortcut command to bring up the last configuration used for that adjustment.

Why wouldn't you just create an adjustment layer? then you can adjust far more, including an opacity of your new levels... and, surprise surprise, because its a layer, you can turn it on and off... just a thought

Cool tip. With something like levels though you could always just make an adjustment layer/not apply the levels adjustment directly on the image.

or you could use a smart filter, and hold down option and over between that and the layer your working on to lock it only with that layer, and you can go in infinitely to edit and it wont affect the other layers in the image...
