There's a lot of hate for this video. The Doors is probably my favorite band at this point in my life, and I love Jim as much as anyone else here. This isn't a rendition I love, I probably won't be listening to it again. Everyone is acting like it's some great offense though. It's just a piece of music, what The Doors have done will never change. You're letting something that isn't an issue get to you. This is not the same doors as most people know them to be. But I will tell you what this is not that bad. Nobody will ever replace Jim Morrison at all, know matter what. I am glad to watch some of the classics live. I missed out on the 70s so I never had a chance to see the real deal and this is close to it as its gonna get.

You know. I do respect Manzarek and Krieger. But you know. Jim had died a long time ago and this isn't it. Those 4, Jim, Mazarek, Krieger and Densmore where the Doors until Jim died in 1971. You can't do the Doors with two memebers, nor replace the other two. It never be the Doors again.That;s the way I see it.
Like with Woodstock. There was only one Woodstock. Woodstock95 was't it neither.

I am glad that the other members od the original doors get to play theur
music because they made Jim better. It is disappointing to not hear Jim's voice
though. No disrespect to Ian. I also took acid in my 20's during that era. One
time only and it changed me forever. But not everyone has that kind of :God
is Love",etc, life altering experience, but I knew once was all I needed. I just
miss Jim Morrison's poetry and performances.

Why do people think it's sad? They aren't replacing Jim, they're keeping his music alive with the help of a man who is not entirely of the Earth himself....Ian Astbury sings Jim like he IS him, not like he's pretending to be him...so obviously he feels this in the core of his psyche & yes Ian may be a little too arrogant for my liking when he calls the likes of Eddie Vedder & Trent Reznor fakes, but Jesus! You can NEVER replace Jimbo but when you're talented musicians like Ray John and Robby and a tregedy like what happened to Morrison happens you're still an artist and im sure they werrent ready to stop doing music hell they were only in their 20s when Jimbo died. best thing to do is move forward in Jims memory. But i will say this Scott Weiland is the only singer who did Jim Morrison justice vocally in my opinion.
