Here it is 2012 and, I'm buying this phone with the straight talk plan. That alone should tell you that this phone does not suck. Sure, it's not a iPhone, and that's the point. It doesn't have to be. It's a good smart phone, with a good company. If you want more, and you aren't good with money, then may I suggest going to an Apple store.

yet again your wrong, 2.5 is nokia's jack size unless its an n-series device where there is a 3.5. You cant have different standard sizes thats why its called standard, DUH??
@180rup Arguable there are alot of phones that use 2.5mm so it's standard for most phones of this class and it's not really a problem you can find those headphones pretty easily if you ask for phone headphones, so i guess that would be standard for phones 3.5 mm is Mp3 most phones just stick with that kuz apperantly it's "easier"
i just bought one but my sim card is not valid cause it's from a different provider. i have a optus sim card but i bought it outright from a vodafone store and now i need to unlock it which is annoying but i would have to wait for it to be ordered in otherwise.

Why is this idiot reviewing the phone when he doesnt know what most of the stuff IS. 1st the radio thing you talked abt was the infrared port, and the light sensor is a secondary camera SO PLEASE DO SOMETHING U ARE QUALIFIED TO DO
I think you need to chill... qualified to do? He's posting a review on YouTube. If you want a pro review look at CNet. HOwever, CNet only devotes about 2 minutes max to their video reviews and this guy covered a lot more ground than CNet does.
That's where I'm not sure. I'm really not a business type person to need a E71 but I really don't need 8gb of internal memory. It all came down to which phone would be easier to use if I got a text message at 3 in the morning.. O_O

Actually no! 3,5 mm is standard jack. He is used for computers, mp3 pleyers, mp4, i-pods, for mobile phones(n91,...!), for electric pianos, and so and so. There are fater then 3,5 mm jacks also for music devices,... So 2,5 mm is not standard at all because it can be used only at this stupid phones. Phone with 2.5m jack is pure mistake! So, you should know this!
Beautiful phone and being a Nokia I'm sure it performs great... But that ugly OS just turns me off completely can't they at least try to make it more aesthetically pleasing???

its not a light sensor on the front r.h top, its the video camera for video calls, also the infra red aperture is on the left side top.

Actually, 2.5mm is the standard for almost all mobile phones while 3.5mm is the standard for most all MP3 players.
