  • This intro stills blows me away! Steve lisberger was a great genius.

  • It truly is too much awesome. I really feel that Steven is a genius and I wish he would come back to movie making, or something in the industry.

  • Too much awesome!

  • OMG, no computer needed at that time, only true artist work !!!

I wish we would use that style of animation as exemple for today's show

  • I was quite surprised when I watched the 20th anniversary Tron DVD, where I learned that this Zeus-like figure was actually a prototype Tron. Back-lit animation effects were all the rage in the late 70's, but this logo still kicks serious ass all these years later. No wonder the hard rock radio stations liked using it in their commercials.

  • i used to be amazed when i saw this.

    i still am

  • That character, there, IS the first incarnation of TRON.

  • Steve Lisberger and his associates talked about this in the documentary on the making of Tron. It was their early experiment on the back-lit animation used in Tron. They also took this animation and sold it to radio stations putting the stations logo in place of the Lisberger logo. The station would play it as a commercial on local TV

  • Ahhh they just dont make things like this anymore :(

  • Was the coolest intro when I was a kid, and still is.

  • aaaa, what an intro
