@gaimingZombie The purple-and-black checkered pattern is a sort of placeholder for when a model is present but the texture for it is missing. So in this case, the model itself was on the ground, but it either didn't have a texture to access, or the game didn't know where to access it, so the game textured it with the placeholder pattern instead.

I remember playing this split screen with my friend Payne. I had no idea where to go but luckily, Payne happened to be a huge fan of silent hill and was my tour guide throughout the campaign. I was blindly following him like a sheep as he went to the exact location of keys and crap like that. We got to the last chapter but the game glitched up and we couldn't get any further. Anyone who wants to play this... make sure you know silent hill, or have a strategy guide handy.

@XxJoxJoxJordanxX Nope its actually possible to play splitscreen on the PC. Just search youtube for left 4 dead PC splitscreen tutorial. It requires you to have an xbox controller (or any other game pad) and you also use some console commands such as ss_splitmode 1, ss_enable1. It was really nice.

You can tell the creator(s) of this champaign were hardcore Silent Hill fans. Everything was recreated down to the smallest detail. I've ALWAYS wanted to FPS version of SH, just to see what it'd be like, and this is as good as it'll get.

Although it would have been better if it was an exact replica of the first SH, i.e. replicating the enemy textures/models and placements, no "horde rushes", ya know, remaking the general creepy atmosphere of the first game. That would have been a true tribute.
